I have a tortoise. I have a piece of slate beside her food bowl. Her food bowl is a terra cotta plant pot saucer. The rough texture of the saucer, and that of the slate, help keep the beak in shape, when they "wipe" their faces while they eat. You can also use a Dremel-type tool, to grind/file the beak, if it gets long. If you keep up with it (don't let it get too long - then it does need an experienced veterinarian look after it) it only takes a minute to keep it nice and short. And yes, they hate having it grinded. Having a rough eating surface is the easiest way to manage beak health. Hope Grizzly feels less grumpy soon!

Wonderful knitting skills! Top-down, raglan sleeves are fun. I also like the cardigan model that you start at the bottom but it's knit flat, and all one piece, other than setting in the sleeves at the end. I've taken to using "daylight" grow lightbulbs that fit in my regular desk lamps. What a difference it makes in my otherwise dark apartment. Added benefit is that I'm now surrounded by houseplants everwhere and moods are much better, much longer.
Wow Grizzley is very cranky, I hope getting his beak fixed helps him calm down, I thought at first he was after Marsha’s food. The cardigan you made in school is beautiful , I can hardly believe it was your first project. The new sweater is lovely, I’m sure you will get a lot of wear with it. I knit too but these days mostly just socks, hats and some mittens, the grandkids don’t like hand knit things and my son is allergic to wool. There are so many pretty hand dyed sock yarns now that I really enjoy knitting them anyway. Enjoy your snow, we haven’t had our first yet but a storm is forecast for Tuesday so maybe we will get some then. 🙋🏼♀️

Grizzly is angry because he hasn't found a place to hibernate for winter. I would double check for his species, but many people who keep turtles as pets put them in the refrigerator (not the freezer) to hibernate for winter, as this is a natural instinct. You can find this information many places on the internet. But again, double check for his species. Hope you see this information and hope it helps.

You must buy him a cuttlefish bone sometimes called a cuttlebone. Budgerigars also use these for wearing down their beaks. It also gives him much needed calcium for his shell and apparently tortoises love to play with them as a toy. You will get these at any Pet Shop.
I like your top down sweater. I am a knitter too and am currently knitting my husband a pair of socks. He told me yesterday that he wants me to make him 7 pairs of socks. One for every day of the week. I think I am going to be busy for some time. Grizzly can move really fast on your floors.

Moscow is not that far from you if you have the possibility to save him. He is suffering with that long beak. Look at the comments, some subscribers have mentioned ways for him and you to trim down the beak naturally with things like charcoal. I would take him to Moscow. He is your child❤

Make sure your turtle is getting a balanced diet, the right temperature in its habitat, and clean water. A stressed turtle can behave more defensively than usual.
