      Don't worry too much, because practice makes perfect, even I am a student who studied Chinese for my whole elementary school life, my handwriting isn't still too neat or pretty, but I would always ask my parents for resources ( like my dad, who always do brush calligraphy and his handwriting is SO NEAT), and I used to ask a lot of people in my elementary class to borrow notes and see how did they write this neat. So keep fighting! :3

    When I was 14 I taught myself hiragana in one day by writing the characters over and over while pronouncing them out loud. The next day I taught myself katakana the same way. 4-5 years later I still have not forgotten hiragana and katakana. Through-out the years I studied Japanese off and on. I plan on taking Japanese classes in University and studying abroad, so I am starting to seriously study Japanese again.

      @@keehosgrl Dakuten kana is very easy once you are familiar with the main hiragana. K/G, T/D, S/Z, H/B/P. There are a few exceptions though. And once you can recall all hiragana, then katakana is even easier to memorize. In all honesty, it takes less than a week to memorize Hiragana and Katakana (assuming that you are serious about learning it)

    Hi! Just a little information for those who learn languages with a flash card making system! I've used Quizlet for around a year until I started noticing that I kept forgetting vocabulary again and again before I switched to Anki. The main difference is the SRS system. With Quizlet you won't know when you need to see a specific word in order to remember. Ankis SRS system always knows what words you NEED to see to never forget it. I write this because I wasted one year with Quizlet. I know Quizlets layout is more user friendly, but it is really easy to make cards with Anki as well, you can customize the program itself, you can add patterns to your cards if you want to, and you will remember 90% of the words you made cards for. I would say Quizlet is more useful for school, at least for me, before a test period, because I will forget most of the things of subjects like Chemistry, Physics etc. which aren't connected with my future plans. So Quizlet is better for a short period, but for long term Anki is a life saver.

Another thing that I found essential to keep on learning japanese was to actually get involved with the culture and try watching japanese vlogs and makeup tutorials while doing home tasks such as cleaning my room. • @liviasaito2672
      @liviasaito2672 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@sunnyjeon vou te falar que a pronúncia é a parte mais fácil, porque o japonês tem uma quantidade limitada de sílabas que vão se aglutinando pra formar as palavras, e a maior parte das sílabas a gente já usa no português. O que eu mais recomendo é começar a parte teórica do estudo e tals, mas também praticar bastante interagindo com a língua sabe?? Assistir vídeos no yt, assistir anime, ouvir música e etc. A parte de escrita e leitura é bem mais difícil que a de fala e auditiva, já vou avisando. Então mantenha os pés no chão e não espera entender coisas escritas mto rápido pq msm com muitos anos de estudo ainda tenho bastante dificuldade em entender textos em japonês. Just a tip I have based on my experience:
    Using a textbook works much better than a language learning app. Textbooks really break down what you’re learning much better than opposed to an app. Of course that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use an app because both sources still help you cover the language.
    Hope that helped!!! 💜 Good luck everyone

    When I was younger I lived in an area in LA that had a big Japanese community and I studied Japanese since I was 5 years old until I was 8 years old. Plus I would hang out with my Japanese neighbors, so I would always speak Japanese with them. The thing is I’m Chilean and I moved back to my country at 9 years old, and currently I’m a 16 year old that can only read hiragana, katakana and some kanji and unfortunately I only understand half of what I read lmao, so I want to learn Japanese again because considering I have the Japanese level of a young child lol it might not be too difficult to get back on track. I also really like learning languages for traveling. For now all I know is Fluent English, basic Italian, basic Portuguese, and obviously my native language Spanish. I think I will finally be a satisfied polyglot if I can manage to learn Japanese haha.

    My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Last year I started Korean, I had only started it for no reason, just because of the famous band BTS, I realized that I was only learning something that didn't interest me just because of BTS. In conclusion, do not do it if you do not want to on your own really, this year I was interested in anime which led me to also be interested in the Japanese language, today I am learning Hiragana and it is a bit difficult to know, more than anything the vowels more its consonant but it's just a lack of practice, I just hope I can travel to Japan when I grow up

    Jeśli jest tutaj ktoś z Polski, polecam uczenia się z Minna no nihongo. Podręcznik minna jest cały po japońsku co na prawdę pomaga w nauce. Do podręcznika przydzielona jest książka z wytłumaczoną gramatyką i słówkami. Niestety nie ma dostępnego tłumaczenia na język polski ale wszystko jest w miarę zrozumiałe. Genki natomiast jest skierowane głównie do osób dobrze znających angielski, jest tam dużoo tekstu po angielsku. Najlepiej jednak by do Minna no nihongo mógł was ktoś wprowadzić kto zna język.

    I took Japanese when I went to a bigger university two years ago, but I fell out of practice and forgot a lot. I downloaded Duolingo recently just to freshen up and it’s surprisingly helped a ton! I feel much better about my foundation and am now looking to finally dedicate myself and learn it once and for all! Kanji is soooo difficult though, I’m so nervous to start learning it, even if I already know some of the most commonly used ones already. Thankfully classes just ended for me so I have about a month to fully dive in before summer course begin. I’ve never been this excited to learn! Ah!

    • @len2003

      holaa💕 spanish native here :) I think you should learn one first then the another one. since Japanese and Spanish are so so different and both difficult, it will tire you and you'll end up leaving both of them if you study both at the same time. Which one you study first depends on you! The only thing japanese and spanish have in common is the flat/closed pronunciation. Go for the one that excites you the most!! Spanish has difficult grammar structures, and japanese has difficult alphabet. Good luck!
