This is the best explanation of why it is important for us to KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS!
Grace makes up for our imperfections, but we must strive to honor Him with an obedient heart! THEN, we are walking according to His purpose. Thank you for this message, I wish my son would understand this. I raised him to keep the commandments but Calvary Chapel convinced him this is a works-based doctrine and that the 4th commandment was done away with. Why not any if the rest???? Those false shepherds have a HUGE penalty to pay soon for teaching lawlessness!

Brother Jason... thank you for your excellent Ministry. I have watched one of your videos before... Now I am going to follow you.. Thank you for the simplicity and clarity with which you teach the Word of God. And for those who might miss it, the effectiveness of your teaching is not just about your style and technique, both of which are excellent, it is also about your broad and deep knowledge of the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation. So to every "Teacher" out there, I caution, first be a good "student". I will ask my question in my next post.

Thank you for your ministry as it is very helpful and your channel and ministry is a blessing to me. In Romans 8:28, speaking about the word “good”, In His providence, God orchestrates every event in life and that would include suffering, temptation, and sin to accomplish both our temporal and eternal benefit (cf. Deut. 8:15-16). In Romans 8:30, as always, in the NT epistles, this “call” is God’s effectual calling of his elect that brings them to salvation.

Great job! I am a RC & agree that we don't know the Bible like we should. Here is a challenge - think of every objection to RC that you can & add at the end "because Jesus doesn't love us that much". The Eucharist cannot literally be the body, blood, soul & divinity of Jesus "because..." You should not confess sins to a priest "because..." As always the best argument against RC is all the bad RC's from bottom to top. God bless you & keep preaching the Gospel!

Paul is writing to the first fruit Christians (Jews and Gentiles) in the first century. Remember, he didn't write his this to us, but to them. That doesn't mean we can't learn from God, but Paul is not writing to us and we must remember this. When Paul talks about appointed and foreknown, it has nothing to do with people today, but what the Old Testament prophets had spoken about those last days of Israel-the spirit being poured out on a remnant in that first century. The remnant of both houses of Israel were being gathered and brought together in those last days of Israel. The Jew first and then the Gentile.
As in all of Paul's writings, he is contrasting two bodies: the body of the flesh wherein children of God were born of the flesh, via physical means and with physical ceremonies like circumcision, and those who were in the "body" of Christ, born of the spirit. In the Hebrew mind, bodies are always thought of as corporate. Paul's use of the word body is corporate. He’s not talking about our physical bodies, but corporate bodies-like the body of Christ.
The Judaizers were those of the flesh, born of the "slave girl." Those under the flesh (the Old Covenant), were slaves and were not yet set free. The blood of animals could not atone for sin. The blood of Christ could. Those of the flesh were in bondage and still in Egypt, as it were. The first century Christians were in the "exodus" coming out of Egypt. Jesus was the new Moses, bringing his people to a better land, a spiritual land. They were about to enter the promised land when their King would destroy those miserable servants. The destruction of the city happened in AD70 when the Old (which was passing away as the writer of Hebrews says), was finally gone. The Kingdom of God was growing from a mustard seed for 40 years, and now was fully established. There is no longer a Jewish people or any distinction whatsoever in God's eyes. People are either in the body of Christ or they are not. In other words, there is no longer a “body of flesh.” God is not interested in races or any other such thing. We are all people in the image of God.

It sounds like you are suggesting that if God deems it good it is regardless of the act. When God commands the Hebrews to rip the babies from their mother's womb (Hosea 13: 16), by following his command you are doing good? In other words, we are not capable of deciding that infanticide is evil. If God tells me to bash an infant against the rocks and I say no, am I doing evil?
I'm also curious as to how guilty the Asians, Africans, etc. were during the 1st century CE? After all, God deemed that his message to mankind was spread via a minor sect of Judaism from a small area of Palestine. It seems to me that the all-powerful creator of the universe could find a better way. Were they relegated to Hell for the sole crime of bad timing and geography?

WOW 🤩 we are on the same wavelength. The Holy Spirit just pointed out this scripture to me this morning ( I wasn’t even reading the Bible)😊and posed the same question you pose. If it says “those who walk in the Spirit, and not in the flesh” , is that excluding us on days we don’t “appear” to be walking in the Spirit, or mess up to the point that we doubt our standing? Specifically He asked, “In view of this scripture does that mean we can do so and be walking in the Spirit-still sin”? And I honestly did not have an answer until watching your video in the afternoon, but you are so right, it is a state of being once we are filled and not something we gauge against our performance. But what did Paul say in Romans: that that he wouldn’t do, he found he did. And who would deliver him from the wretched man he found he was. And of course, he then concludes, Praise God, Jesus does. Because he is the ultimate artist molding His masterpieces accordingly, as He deems fit, uniquely diverse. As the potter, He forms the clay, we don’t. So everything works together for our good because of this state in Him.
If we really meditate on this it would revolutionize our thinking. The prayers of a righteous man availeth much, even while Elijah was just a human like we.
What is the MercyMe song that says, “we’re so consumed with what we think that we should be, that we stop living like we know that we are free.” Happy Dance

Maybe the hurdles many of us face in getting there is we have so much to unlearn we’re less pliable. And the flesh constantly warring against a total walk by Faith.

    • @simplyshannon71
      @simplyshannon71 ปีที่แล้ว

When we repent of our sons, God abides with us through His Holy Spirit. When Jesus rose from the dead he said he is sending his Spirit to comfort us.
      John 14:26
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Speaking in tongues is a gift of the Spirit whereby we can communicate to God what our heart knows but mouths fail to speak.
      1 Corinthians 14:
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
(Church meaning body of believers not a building.)
Jesus intercede for us. We speak to God through the Holy Spirit and Jesus speaks to the Father on our behalf.
      Romans 8:26
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Says Gods children will NOT listen to strangers voices (this man is a stranger i doubt many of you know him personally) because they are not familar to them
So if you are Gods children you will NOT be listening to all these false prophets
