- Merry Christmas folks! Our 2013 Town and Country has been having some difficulties starting this past month, almost as if it wasn’t getting adequate fuel. After a little bit of research, We came to the conclusion that it was most likely the fuel pump relay which is built into the TIPM of the vehicle. We found an awesome company named Vertical Visions who manufactures external fuel pump relays to solve this problem. The installation literally took 5 minutes. It worked! Thank you and praise God! After the local Chrysler Jeep dealer kept our van for over a month, and unnecessarily replacing the fuel pump, they said they could order "a part" for $25 to bypass the bad relay but the labor would be $500. I watched your video, and the wife and I decided to give this part a go. It was a quick install, the van cranks, and we saved $500. Thank you for posting!
Repair shop diagnosed a faulty fuel pump but I disagreed. After some research I found your video, ordered this simple repair circuit board from Vertical Visions and went to the shop and repaired it myself. Thanks so much for your video.
Just ordered one for my Jeep. These guys are life savers. Freaking Chrysler am I right?
You can also take the TIPM apart carefully and replace the relay on the circuit board too. It's an easy repair and the relay only costs a few dollars.

Ordered one of these today for our 2011 T&C, which began cranking and not starting and all my research led me here. I'll come back and let y'all know how it went!

@@lakes2land780 Installed easily and so far so good! Problem was kinda intermittent so it may take a while to decide that this fixed the issue, but seems good.
@@jimb65536 understood. Cold weather really seemed to amplify my issues. The colder it would get, the more the relay acted up. Hope this fixes your issue 🙏🏻

Thanks so much 2009 Chrysler town country cranks acts like it wants to turn over and sometimes I get nothing. If I let it sit for 8+hours it starts. If it's quick run into the store for 5 minutes after being started it won't start at all. And for some weird reason when it's cold and been sitting it has a better chance of starting them when it's hot outside and sitting for 5 minutes it won't start again. THIS HAS TO BE THE PROBLEM STARTER BATTERY ALTERNATOR HABE ALL BEEN REPLACED AND TESTED TWICE IN THIS LAST MONTH. I JUST ORDERED THIS PIECE TODAY HOPE IT WORKS. IM A ONE MAM SHOW TRANSPORTATION COMPANY. I INVESTED A LOT OF MONEY IN THIS VEHICLE CANT AFFOR TO JUST JUNK IT AND GET A NEW ONE AF LEAST NOT RIGHT NOW 😂

They are not on eBay. Follow this link and call the company. They will get you set up with whatever you need.
Will the remote start still work regularly?have the bypass cable put remote start will only work for a few seconds

Installed this part but now the tire pressure sensor light flashes about 20 times than stays on .....
That’s odd. Maybe give them a call to see what the issue is?
I have this exact issue you described on my 08. $700 later and the new fuel pump wasn’t this due. I have a lightning bolt with parentheses on the dash and when I see this icon the car won’t start. Will this fix that issue.

My truck is at the dealership now and they’re asking $1500 to replace the whole TIPM. Now your issues seemed to align with what mine has, did your vehicle turn on and shut off almost immediately at some point? And mine just starts very randomly or sometimes just won’t start at all not even with a jump
Yes.It would crank but not start, or on some occasions start and run for about five seconds then shut off. Almost as if the fuel pump was not functioning. I have heard of other people complaining their cars wouldn’t even turn over, which I do believe is a TIPM issue as well. Customer service is fantastic. I spoke with Jason, who is the owner of the company and he was quite confident that my issue was the TIPM and the bypass should resolve it. Installed and has been flawless since. What kind of truck do you have? I believe Dodge had a bypass specifically for certain model of vehicles affected. Apparently my town and country was not one of them.
I have a 2013 dodge grand caravan and my fuel pump continues to run when I turn the vehicle off. Will this fix that issue?

Mine starts up just fine, but stalls when I stop and go around the city. Guy said new throttle body and wanted to charge me out the ass. I bought the part and put it in a drove it a hundred miles or so. It’s still stalling, though less than originally. Code PO868 for low line pressure popped up the other day but then went off without me clearing it. I ordered the 99 dollar bypass from vertical visions, though I’m wondering if that’s related to my problem at all? Any thought anybody?
2011 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7. Apparently the rams have the same TIPMs as the other vehicles that had recalls. They didn’t recall it for the RAM.

Haven't seen one of these yet or tested it but if it creates key on engine off power to the fuel pump don't put it in your vehicle makes your car unsafe the fuel pump should not run with the key on and the engine off only for 3 seconds which is the computer command
It does not. It functions exactly as the factory relay does. Chrysler, in their in genius mind made their way internal. This is basically just an external version. Fuel pump for shut off as intended. There’s also a feature to shut off the flow pump completely as an antitheft device.. pretty slick unit
I ordered the $100 one. It worked for 7 days. Now it will not start again. I need my van. But I have almost had it with this. I was getting ready to leave home with a newborn and it shut off. Does anyone have any idea of what I should do???
Buy a rebuilt timp and replace it yourself battery disconnected of course

Chrysler did a lot of people dirty with this faulty ECM issue. Over $1K to replace. What model do you have?
