It’s something to watch these horses in person. Once they are hitched up they want to go. It’s take a strong handler for this type of work. NOT for rookies. Beautiful animal ❤️ . Great job. 👍👍😊
This brings back the warm memories I have as a child of my uncles plowing with their mules. "Gee! Haw! Whoa!" It's too bad my grandkids won't have similar memories.
Very nice looking Belgian, willing to work, stands well even when his owner doesn't have the lines in his hands, has a great future in logging! Nothing strengthens the bond between horse and teamster as much as working with a single horse for extended periods of time.
I wish I could have one like Grace. Our mountainous property of 360 hectares was logged with horse by previous owners until the late 1970's. On average two logs pr day were dragged down to the sawmill by the fiord and cut for lumber - in addition to firewood for sale. The horse was the most valuable inventory - and it could go places where no modern machines will ever reach and with zero impact. If only I had the time...
This brings back memories of when we had our building site and driveway logged, it was done with three percherons just gorgeous horses and incredible strength pulling up and down hills.
ALL I can think of is my grandfathers Belgian-Percheron crosses that he used to farm and log with. I was that 5 yr old running around under them in the barn.
I “worked’ in the log woods one summer when I was 13. They logged with mules. What power if you know how to handle them. One on the best summers in my life.
What an amazing animal ❤️ That being said, I really miss you uploading videos every Friday. We waited 2 weeks for a video and we got a 6 minute video that doesn't have anything to do with you building your house 🤷🏼♀️💔😩 Please, please go back to once a week videos I did give you a thumbs up though ❤️😂❤️
Wow, thanks for giving us a look into this method of logging! Very good camera work and editing. Is Jeff just a neighbor and friend? Will you use any wood pulled by Grace for you house made of trees project? Also, I discovered your channel years ago when I stumbled upon your Make Gnocchi video. I went out and got a potato ricer cause of it! Sure love your channel!
What an amazing creature. Majestic.

That's incredible. I love how the horse just uses the doorway like its no big deal.

Good horse
why does horse need such a severe dock - what does he do about the flies in summer?
What an amazing animal ❤️

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️🇩🇪
Um, why didn't you clean up the laps around that log rather than having her walk on them?
I got nervous every time he walked behind the horse.
And to think, I thought using a tractor was dangerous!
Mare means woman? Too funny
