I wonder who had more say in the 50% price drop, eBay/TCGPlayer or MetaZoo? This price drop just killed off every partner, retailer, streamer, literally anyone besides eBay and TCGPlayer that is trying to sell Kuromi. I could see dropping it to $200, that way it’s like you pay a tiny premium for the awesome outside magnetic box and the promo cards and this way ~$85 booster boxes still serve a purpose to people not caring for those things, but anyone that spends a minute doing research on where to buy this set will just buy from TCG/eBay. They also apparently won’t run out of this collector set anytime soon if we assume the original print run of 7,000 or whatever it was is to be believed. Baffling decision to screw over partners/streamers IMO.
My bet is that just like Channel Fireball and CardShopLive, eBay and TCGPlayer are an independent retailer partner and can do what they want. They might get a WTF bro phone call from MetaZoo but at the end of the day they’ll do what they want.
The thing about Kuromi fans getting into Metazoo is most likely they will need cards from other sets in their decks to make them viable. I'm interested to see how this new meta shakes out.
10 chase cards in each set would be a good improvement along with the introduction a new “platinum” rarity designation for cards only available in full holo
Agreed when the pool is limited (i.e. ufo, seance, wilderness) it feels harder to pull but easier to finish. Also the move to have more of the chases and blister promos be multiple per spellbook is good long term in my opinion.
Looks like the same materials and shape as the Pokemon Collector boxes. Meaning that this box is perfect for holding loose card singles, just need some dividers.

They should have priced at $200 from beginning and probably would have sold out! $149 gets this product into our hands! Like that they fixed the booster box orientation in the collectors box. I am working some now before the price adjusts. They only have 700 listed on tcg player.
Yeah, they definitely started the price too high and it killed momentum on the sale, it’s kind of impressive. They sold like 700 boxes between the two platforms at $300.
Rudy made a video on this last week, they only sold around 20% of thier allocation of these at the $300 price point. So they dropped the price to try and sell the rest. Its interesting that they refunded ppl through, cause they really didnt have too lol

I've been into Metazoo since early 2021 and bought a substantial amount of CN1e, which I still have. Luckily, I'm in a position where the thousands on thousands in my collectible budget is basically fun money and I have most in real investments, but I don't see myself buying Metazoo again anytime soon. You have to understand, I was on the front line of defending Metazoo whenever someone would bad mouth it. Tuning out the negativity and always looking at the glimmers of positivity. Kinda done with it all now and more apathetic than anything. Probably just box up my sealed collection and throw it in the basement. Maybe one day I'll care again. Glad you got your money.
Unfortunately eBay totally dunked on the KCC market. Was unexpected and harms retailers likely much more than most consumers, but everyone is affected.

Yeah I feel like having AT LEAST a pool of 10-12+ chase tier cards per set is a requirement for improved price stability.

There no point in pre order metazoo anymore just wait a month to get the product for %40 off and you dont have to wait months for it to ship
