I’m an owner as well, this is a great bike for someone that wants something different as there aren’t many around, but underneath it’s just a GSXS, which means reliability and parts are relatively cheap and there easy to work on, and plenty of aftermarket go fast gear if you want to play.
The Katana was the first bike I remember ever taking notice of that wasn’t owned by someone I knew. My dad took my to a bike shop when I was younger, and I went right to it. No idea why. haha This year I’d really like to get to IMS or a lot of demo days this year. I want to get on more bikes this year.
Demos are a lot of fun, and definitely worth the time, IMO. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who feels a lot of nostalgia for the Katana. I'm glad I tried it. Just wish the test ride route was a little more conducive to the kind of bike this is.
I own one and i really love it, nothing like it on the street. Gas is my only complain. Awesome bike. Fun to ride
Agreed! 👍🏽

Appreciate the feedback. And, it's true about not seeing these out there. You see nine or ten Gixxers and Ninjas for every Katana on the road.
Nice review. Well balanced and calm. Question: what are the main differences from this model and the 2020?
Thank you! I don't think there are any differences from 20 to 21. I'm pretty sure the 22 has some modifications, though.

Has 5 mode traction control (instead of 3) and a QuickShifter👍

That’s exactly what I did at the 2020 car show. I immediately was drawn to it and a year and half later it’s in my garage lol
