i've been using the rattler rig for over 30 years on the pole + on the rod on still waters + canal as well -- i use 2 float stops with 1 each side of the float and the space is 3 floats in size and a no.4 or no.6 or a swivel just above the hook length for the dropper shot and it's good rig to teach others on cos i did when teaching my brother to fish on the pole and it's anti tangle as well
Although I mainly do carp fishing and the only time I’ve ever used a pole was 35 years ago (banked a 4.5lb wild green tench on the river parrot. I enjoy watching these two immensely.

Bradshaw amazing venue to fish really do recommend that place lovely staff plenty lakes to choose from 9 lakes all together I do believe there’s gunna be 10 can’t go wrong lake 4for kids is perfect and wheel chair access most venues don’t have that option for people with wheelchairs highly recommended 👍

If your hooking fish in bottom lip whilst shallow does it mean you need to shallow up
