You're welcome. Glad it helped. Had to replace the weather stripping on the back passenger door. Was gonna make a video on that, but it was pretty straight forwars.
Awesome! Glad it helped. Thanks for letting me know that. I was kinda in the same boat. Gonna pay someone to do it than just said since the parts are cheap, I'll gmfigire it out.
You get 3 with large heads and 1 with smaller head. You used the small one on the door handle, it should have been used in upper latch, then it would have fit and you would not have needed to rig a separate bracket 😊
is there a way to open door if cable is removed already? i removed license plate to see insode from outside. cable broke off by repeatedly opening it with cable.only
My door won't open. 😥 Door won't open, 🤣repair requires the door to be open. Going to Dairy Queen and eat a Banana Split while I try to figure out how get my door open.🤔 Awesome Video. I think I will replace all my cables as one door goes, so go the other doors over the next couple years.
The cable is probably not attached and therefore won't open. Take a flathead and see If you can pry open the latch by playing around with it. I have another cable on it sliding door I have to fix. Ugh. So frustrating lol. Let me know how it goes 👍
Well first of all that's the wrong side of the door that side doesn't get Frozen it's the other side that gets roasted it ain't going to do any good about the cables cuz the mechanism itself is frozen rusted now how do I open the back doors
@sicaboolacey My lower cable was still attached on the driver side, so I was just able to pull that out & up to disengage the bottom latch. If it's out, youre going to have to use a pair of pliars and put it back in to to open it. You may be able to use a flathead screwdriver to open the latch from the inside by prying that latch open.
Thanks for including the part and part # description. Well done.

Always good when you can make the repair yourself..Good tutorial!👍🏼
It sure does. Everything is figure-out-able. Just takes a little patience and confidence sometimes. Have a nice rest of your weekend. God bless.

You're welcome
Thank you! Now if I can just figure out how to get my new latch assembly installed into the other door, I'll be back in business!
Were you able to figure it out?

Good to know. Still working like a charm today, no problem.

You might be able to pry it open with a long flathead if you have one...If you can get it in there.

Thanks for the good vid .. if you turn your camera sideways, it is easier to view. Cheers!
Thanks. Ya, you're right, but at certain times it was hard due to tight spaces and hard to do with one hand while trying to show everything.

would have been nicer if you would have shown us how to open the door and take the panel off. incomplete
I don't have panels on mine, so I can't show you how to remove them and opening the door is pretty straight forward.
