Michael has always had a flair for the theatrical. Exactly. It's was a fun slasher movie meant to be the bridge between Halloween 2018 and Halloween Ends. And it was chaos and fear unleashed in Haddonfield.
@@WeWatchedAMovie If you and Jay do get him on the show, you guys would be the first people to interview him about halloween kills because nobody has done an interview with him yet
I feel like Tommy yelling the "evil dies tonight" when exiting the hospital was meant for humor. It's just so ridiculous. I kinda like that I'll be laughing at that for years.
I think Big/Little John were a callback to "Curse" cuz they were Realtors living in the Myers house, maybe they couldn't sell it? There is a bench in the scene outside of the shop when Tommy is rounding the mob where they have a realty advertisement of both Johns. It also shows some of the signs in the background when big John is singing the record.
In terms of Micheal getting back to his house to kill Karen, although the movie was edited to speed up the events, I'm sure it took longer. As Karen consoled her daughter to make sure she was alright, Micheal was busy slaughtering the remains of the mob. He probably didn't go back in the same direction from which he chased Karen into the trap, an went another way, going into the back door of his house, through the kitchen, and up the stairs. Plus we all know Micheal is a stealth master, so it really needs no explanation.
For those interested in the Novelization, the print version doesn’t come out for another week, but for some reason the audiobook version is already out on digital. (Narrated by Balki from Perfect Strangers which is delightful)
U guys are the best. When Mike says certain $exual things on a fly followed by what, who as If it someone else. And J always had me cracking up especially as Loomis. Thank you guys for helping me through tough times
You guys are hilarious😂. Been watching since the original Halloween reviews!! I chose to only watch the first trailer that came out cause I didn’t want to spoil the movie so gland I did lol !!
not going to lie !!! I FEEL ASLEEP!!! in the mid half of Halloween Kills... it was like at some point i got hit with a Sleeping Dart and i work up 60second later... but still was good just needed a edit in the middle to keep the movie moveing better.
been avoiding your channel for months now because I didn't want any spoilers or anything for HKills. I stayed away from every trailer and article about it. All I knew going in was it started with the house fire. With that info, I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. It literally killed! Glad I can watch your guys videos again!!! Unfortunately, I'll be avoiding you guys again leading up to 5cream. I'm done with trailers! Love you guys and your sexy faces!!! You guys are definitely the highlight for me each and every Halloween!
As far as Michael just showing up places, we see him essentially teleporting in the original. When Laurie looks out the widow and he’s at the clothesline and disappears in a second. And when he shows up in the house at the end.
Loved this film. Loved that they have finally etched Michael into the supernatural lore. Loomis was telling everyone he wasn't normal but they always took him as just a man. Lauri established he was more.
I kinda like that they did include the mob scene because from my perspective I feel it shows how badly things can end when fear causes panic and confusion it's not going to end well, it's sort of like what can happen in a real-world situation.
Hi Mike & Jay !! Great live stream, you both went through so many different areas of the movie! I really really enjoyed seeing Halloween Kills with my older son… based on our personal situation with my dad ( he is still in hospital) it was really good for me to get out and enjoy an evening out, after the movie my son and I went to dinner to digest the movie so to say … ha ha. My favourite psrts1/ Michael Myers mask 2/ Michael’s kills a total bloodbath, he showed no mercy 3/ The expression on the firefighters faces when Michael walked out of the burning house…priceless 4/ I felt sorry for the inmate in the hospital as it was complete chaos, and in desperation jumped to his 💀 death 5/ the ending as Mike and J said there are so many different scenarios that could play out!! All and all I give it 8.5/10, so now we wait…. Luv you both!! I will watch it again in the next couple of days ! Take care WWAM fam ! Linda 🎃🎃🔪💕
Also in curious on your guys' thoughts on the bully family, The Mulaney's. That it showed picking on Lonnie in the flashbacks. I feel like they might have a part in Ends. Just would seem weird to introduce the characters, with a line like, "you don't fuck with the Mulaney's and bring them back. Also the 3 kids messing with Big John and Little John, I feel could be related to them in some way. Haven t seen anybody mention them. Could be nothing.
The people at the theater probably thought I was a psycho because during the whole flashback with Loomis and Hawkins made me have the biggest shit eating grin
People are complaining that Myers is now supernatural but that kinda was established in part 1. He was stabbed in the neck, stabbed in the stomach, stabbed in the eye, took 6 slugs from a revolver, fell out a 2 story house back first and walked away. BTW I loved Kills
Just watched it again. In the flashback scene when Loomis says "STOP! Michael, stay back!" there's a blonde haired cop leaning against a car and pointing a gun who looks a lot like the deputy who helped out Loomis in H2. Another easter egg?
When they said maybe he went to high school, all I could think was a montage of Micheal learning how to stab in a classroom to the song Back To School by Richard Wolf & Mark Leonard.
HK may be about guilt, especially considering the setup with Hawkins' story. Survivors' guilt, mob murder guilt, mob lawlessness guilt in not listening to the law, and individual guilt. Along with the mourning Haddonfield has to be going through with so many dead and gone. Imagine what the town looks like in the aftermath - homes empty, neighbors dead and many moved away after the mass funerals, everyone else unable to face what they've done and who they are deep down when it mattered. That's the meaning of the flashbacks as well. It sets up themes that HK and HE will deal with. Hawkins may have a bigger role in the next one because he's the one who set up the idea of needing to "fix" the mistakes made and made the point to Laurie Strode that it's not just about her. And if Covid is going to play a role, it's possible that the quarantine means everyone will have to be alone with their pain and regret, and when they meet up here and there, it's uncomfortable. Plus, wondering if Myers will come back every Halloween when they're vulnerable. Remember, one of the hidden things we've had to deal with with the lockdowns is the mental health issues people are suffering from. Hopefully, it won't just be heavy-handed political commentary with Haddonfield fighting about being pro-mask and anti-mask because they banned all masks after HK. haha
My daughter was laughing her head off at all the kill scenes, my son was cheering Micheal on and I was sitting in the middle going I'm not with them!!! Lol.
Love listening to you guys. Could it be possible that in Halloween Ends that we get another flashback of Loomis trying to speak with Michael once more after he is arrested in another flashback? Hoping so as I loved seeing Loomis again.
A lot of people are praising the flashback scene. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was pretty cool but, in my opinion, there are some major problems with it. One glaring problem is one of the officers saying, "Loomis shot him multiple times in the chest" and none of the other officers are like, WTF? How can anyone survive that? That's how Brackett reacted in Halloween 2 1981. He was like, "no man can take six slugs." Then, when they "apprehend" him, they never address how he survived getting shot that many times in this movie or in Halloween 2018. I think its a big deal considering that was part of one of the biggest cliffhangers in cinema history. How did this "normal" guy get shot six times at basically point blank range, fall off a balcony, and just get up and walk away? Wouldn't a doctor at Smith's Grove discover six bullet wounds and be like, WTF? How did this man survive six gun shot wounds to the torso area? Just lazy writing by these creators
Why is know body amazed at Michael clearing that 12foot fence... how much yard time was he getting in that Ward..and that...how the fuck NOBODY in the town don't know what he looks he's been at a ward that didn't seem that far away
The dialogue in this movie was insulting. I love how Lonnie’s kid said something to the effect of how “Michael has infected my family for the past forty years”. Really? Just because your dad accidentally ran into a bad person before he even hit puberty one night 40 years ago, doesn’t mean it’s enough to explain away generational grief. I love Michael, but I’d be lying if I said all of the member berries weren’t a cheap ploy to get people in seats only to turn around and and give those characters dog shit dialogue and use them as throwaway characters. Great kills, but that’s all it has going for it.
The Halloween 2 footage is just of Annie on the stretcher when Brackett has the sheet pulled down to identify his daughter. It is a scene that definitely still works with Halloween 2 no longer being canon.
btw, anybody notice there's exactly 12 pumpkins in the opening credits and how the last one gets the most intense? their attention to details like that are right under people noses. bravo
Mike j thank you so much for having me it’s great to be. Back again. Your making me laugh so much to be safe and keep making more videos and love you guys to ♥️❤️♥️♥️♥️❤️♥️♥️❤️♥️♥️♥️
I really liked 2018, I thought Kills was fun but only watched it once so far, I didn’t like the whole mob chasing that one guy, it was kinda unbelievable that people would think that guy is Michael Myers 😂 wasn’t keen on some of the dialogue either. I also had a problem with how they introduced all these original characters but they kinda just set them up to be knocked down one by one, I feel like they should have came at Michael harder because it got to the point where I really wanted Michael to kill them all lol. I’m not going to lie though I prefer Rob Zombies two movies over these two newest ones we have gotten although I don’t hate Kills or 2018 by any means
I cant believe Jay just said the Mickey loves ya from Rocky when talking about Michael being beat up, I swear I left that exact comment on Rudy’s Movie Reviews chat with Cody Leach about Halloween Kills 😂
Awesome live stream about Halloween Kills, Michael was just a fucking badass in that movie 🤘🏻. Also can't wait for tomorrow's video!!! Love you guys 🖤.
I am not shy to admit, me and my brother went to the theaters to see it the night it came out and legit as soon as I saw Michael walk out of that burning building and as Mike said did that little stretch and you could tell just how PISSED he was. I knew right then it was Game. Fucking. Over. It was so badass and I was grinning so wide! I didn't care who saw me much less telling my brother "God damn 😳👌" The mob scene too when they tried to kill Michael was also my top favorite! Even if I did get really sad and nervous when they started beating him down. But yeah, it's to each their own of course and I for one thought it was pretty awesome myself. 😌
I missed the live last night but could you imagine if the town was like ok so he comes every halloween so were all just gonna dip out and the entire town dips out for halloween night and micheal shows up to a ghost town. Hed be confused as fuck lmao
@@WeWatchedAMovie over here thinking damn gotta ruin a good thing now i gotta go do this shit in some new town and completely start over this is some bull shit
Michael has always been able to literally teleport since the first movie when Laurie was looking out the window and Michael is standing by the clothesline and literally disappeared and Laurie never even looked away and he vanished into thin air
So when Loomis shot Michael multiple times in 78 and then in Hk flashback then captured him Do u guys think they took him to the hospital to take out the bullets or did they leave the bullets in him while he was at the mental asylum
Here’s what I think. In the flashback we see Michael shut down after attacking the cop. Insinuating Michael is going back to a comatose state like when after killing Judith. After recreating the night in Kills after stabbing Karen he goes back to that state. I’m sure they will use the alternative ending as the opening with additional things like how Michael got back in the house and what happens after that.
Maybe Allison takes on a Dr. Loomis like roll she wants to make sure nobody mentally turns in to someone like her uncle Mikey and through this journey of her becoming a psychiatric doctor gets reacquainted with Michael or hears about him still being at large and that becomes her mission to stop in once and for all and they have a grand finale DAMN IT!
Awesome review Guy's again with the Cool Videos👍 love the energy🎃🔪 and when Marion says Evil Dies tonight to Tommy. I thought instead would make more sense for her to say Tommy Be Careful. Something like that.
A better movie would’ve been that the whole town is pissed off that Michael keeps coming back because of Laurie And they turn against her- teenagers graffiti her house, slash her tires in public, mock her. And there’s two main guys that rally the town against her. And they’re tormenting her. And the same story happens with Cory. Same exact scenario where the boy dies at the beginning. So he is mocked also and he feels the same connection to Laurie because the teenagers are picking on him too. They are both being tormented and mocked and shunned and the entire thing plays out the same way. Corey snaps the same way- he finds Michael where he had fallen into the sewer stuck between cement after becoming weak from part 2- they have the same evil power exchange - he starts luring the teenage tormentors into the sewer where Michael can still use his arms to kill them. Michael regains his strength and frees himself and sees Corey as someone who helped him - Corey and Michael go after all of rest of the people including the two main bad guys that are tormenting Laurie. Laurie realizes what is happening from a distance since she is stalking Corey because he is dating her granddaughter and tries to stop Corey - so it becomes a battle between good and evil- meanwhile the town sees Michael is back and goes after Laurie saying if she dies, Michael will die too- they accidentally kill a few people couple people thinking it’s Laurie - while she is gone into hiding - Corey knows that Laurie knows what he Is doing and goes to find Laurie the same way - while The town is out and crazy, the same ending happens where she has her encounter with Michael in her house - she realizes she can end this through Corey and when Michael turns on Corey and they begin to kill each other, Laurie does her thing and traps Michael like she did in this Movie. The town comes to kill Laurie where she tells them she has finally caught Michael. They are amazed - same scene plays out where the town comes out. It would have been amazing to show in the meat grinder scene a moment between her and Michael where she acknowledges he killed her family but he also took out all her tormentors in the town - every single main aggressor that was making her life miserable before he goes into the grinder SLOWLY - his death becomes her redemption in the eyes of the town - Corey is wounded but is present at the Michael meat grinder scene and it is HE who takes the mask…. Leaving it open for more movies
At the end there's a bit of a time jump with the montage. When Karen walks back into the Myers house, Michael is already in the house. Earlier, Karen stabs Michael then walks back/Michael kills everyone>Karen consoles Allyson & paramedics show up/Michael goes home>Karen looks at the window and wonders about young Michael and what goes on in his head like Officer McCabe>Karen goes up to Judiths room and looks out of the window/Michaels already in the house>Kills Karen as cops are showing up on scene> I'm sure Michael will figure a way out
1:56:40 I wouldn't like to see some untold story in this time line BUT it would be great way to start a new retro time line, or to do some late 70s period piece with an alternate Myers story
I’m curious about Michael not caring about Laurie and just wanting to “go home.” If he didn’t care about her then I would think he wouldn’t have cared about stalking her in 1978. I feel like he has to have some bent towards pursuing Laurie specifically.
People keep trying to mental gymnastics that shit to white knight 2018 and now Kills completely ignoring the scenes from Halloween where he was specifically stalking her, standing outside the school watching her. Then following her home and standing in the yard staring up at her window..... There is no universe where he wasn't specifically stalking her...But then again Kills had that dumb fucking stupid line about the mind of a 6 year old boy in the body of a man
i think it's practical if Ends starts with seeing what Mikey did right after knocking off Tommy and then showing how he snuck through the back of his crib to knock off Karen. Then showing how/where he could escaped to after that opening credits leading to the time lapse which current timeline starts. Sounds reasonable?
I think it was necessary for Michael to evolve from lurking in the shadows to brutality he was incarcerated for 40 years you know that the evil within built up and was ready to come out and oh boy did it!
I wanted a movie where Michael goes all out, but loyal to the original and keeping the lore around him, and that's what I got. Everything about him was perfect. I like the fact he's is so hard to kill. You probably can kill him, it just takes a lot to do so. The flashbacks, omg. Loomis was an actual actor with make-up. So good! I had a thought about the original... It starts with 6yo Michael approaching his house. First of all, what was a 6yo doing outside alone? Trick or treating, alone? Then he comes home to find his sister screwing around, probably without their parents' consent. The dialogue "Michael's around here somewhere" makes it clear babysitting him wasn't her top priority. Again... the original movie starts with Michael coming home and I don't think he liked what he found.
First 20 minutes of the movie was AWESOME!!! The rest fell really flat! Lazy writing, horrible script, no atmosphere, that whole hospital scene was garbage, acting was ok, etc. The kills were great and Michael Myers looked the best since 78. Unfortunately this felt more like a Friday the 13th movie and not Halloween. Lots of kills with very little character development. Wish they spent more time with the legacy characters so we felt something when they died. Evil Dies Tonight became so cheesy and will become a drinking game. Overall I thought it was good just not great. I like Halloween 78, Halloween 2, Halloween 2018 and Halloween 4 better. Really hope they bring it all together in Halloween Ends.
I don’t think Michael being back in the house so quickly is an issue. They were only one or two streets over. Presumably Michael slayed the mob just moments after Karen left. By the time we are back to Karen, EMTs are there, so some time has passed. Little John left the back door unlocked.
My favorite line from that movie was Hawkins describing Michael, “He’s a six year-old kid, with body of a grown man & the mind of an animal.” The only part I’d change is replace ‘the mind of an animal’ with ‘the mind & soul of a demon’. I don’t know, what do you guys think?
Both of the new movies had awesome music!! I think it adds so much to the movie!!! He really deserves a lot of credit for how amazing the music sets the moods
Older Lonnie had the most authentic reaction and acting in the movie I thought, teared up, confused and scared and all! Loved him!
My thoughts exactly! When they arrived upon the bodies in the park his reaction felt like a punch to the gut!

@@WeWatchedAMovie If you and Jay do get him on the show, you guys would be the first people to interview him about halloween kills because nobody has done an interview with him yet
I’m just so happy we are still getting these movies 🥲
Been an honor counting down to this movie with you guys! Loved the spoiler talk and had a blast with the movie! Can’t wait for more content on it!!!!
l
Welcome back my friend!
As far as Michael just showing up places, we see him essentially teleporting in the original. When Laurie looks out the widow and he’s at the clothesline and disappears in a second. And when he shows up in the house at the end.
Did y'all notice the nurse and doctor couple were in 2018. Just for a few seconds during the part Micheal walks around in the continuous shot.
Loved this film. Loved that they have finally etched Michael into the supernatural lore. Loomis was telling everyone he wasn't normal but they always took him as just a man. Lauri established he was more.
The director has stated Michael is just human though?
@@austinnickell2561 ..man I don't listen to them. They say 1 thing then pop..it's another. Laurie's speech was to direct.
@@austinnickell2561 in the interview of 2018, John Carpenter states that Michael here is between human and supernatural
All and all
I give it 8.5/10, so now we wait…. Luv you both!! I will watch it again in the next couple of days ! Take care WWAM fam ! Linda 🎃🎃🔪💕
Figured michael went in the back door like when he went in to kill Judith
Holy shit yeah that’s true
I mean that's definitely possible. My only issue is getting up the stairs. Wasn't the front door wide open? Because the stairs are right by the door
Yep!!! That’s exactly what I thought as well
Nice stream guys also the part when big and little John were holding the knifes they were small and big that part was kinda funny
I'm happy to see a channel showing this movie the proper respect. Loved Halloween Kills.
Hopefully, it won't just be heavy-handed political commentary with Haddonfield fighting about being pro-mask and anti-mask because they banned all masks after HK. haha
Well said 👏👏👏
My daughter was laughing her head off at all the kill scenes, my son was cheering Micheal on and I was sitting in the middle going I'm not with them!!!
I love the Michael Myers vs the mob... When Michael grabs his mask and prepare to kill everyone.. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You'd think during the 40 years they would have got therapy. Or moved
The Halloween 2 footage is just of Annie on the stretcher when Brackett has the sheet pulled down to identify his daughter. It is a scene that definitely still works with Halloween 2 no longer being canon.
btw, anybody notice there's exactly 12 pumpkins in the opening credits
and how the last one gets the most intense?
their attention to details like that are right under people noses. bravo
I'm actually happy Paul Rudd wasn't able to come back for this movie. I didn't want to see his version of Tommy die.
52 minutes in and i’m crying i’m trying to watch this at work and was choking on my…. food. i can’t work cuz i’m laughing to hard
I cant believe Jay just said the Mickey loves ya from Rocky when talking about Michael being beat up, I swear I left that exact comment on Rudy’s Movie Reviews chat with Cody Leach about Halloween Kills 😂
When my script goes into production and get paid, I’m throwing a huge party and inviting Mike and J!
Yes the firefighter scene was freaking AWESOME!!! I was at the edge of my seat smiling 😃.
Awesome live stream about Halloween Kills, Michael was just a fucking badass in that movie 🤘🏻. Also can't wait for tomorrow's video!!! Love you guys 🖤.
i really want to see you guys interview James jude courtney. id donate to get him on the show
I am not shy to admit, me and my brother went to the theaters to see it the night it came out and legit as soon as I saw Michael walk out of that burning building and as Mike said did that little stretch and you could tell just how PISSED he was.
It'd be funny if you just see him get in a car, drive a few blocks to Russelville, park angrily, get out and slam a door. Then you hear a scream. lol
Can't believe you guys missed the scene where Michael jumped on a bike and pedaled fast back to his house
Cookie woman!
🍪🍪
I love how in that scene she says All nighter before saying big woman and Loomis chimes in like he wants to meet a big woman
@AFT Plate Carrier Why, why are you protecting him. Don't you love your step mother, he made you stab her.
Thanks so much #Doctorojie who cured my herpes
Thanks so much #Doctorojie who cured my herpes
So when Loomis shot Michael multiple times in 78 and then in Hk flashback then captured him Do u guys think they took him to the hospital to take out the bullets or did they leave the bullets in him while he was at the mental asylum
54:44 was that Michael passing there in the background? 😭
Funny enough those coveralls (workrite 9.8) ARE fire resistant
J always has April (assuming it’s still April😂) creeping about in the damn background like the grudge 😂😂
The mask itself is enough for me to want a whole movie. Redo the thorn trilogy
They should read the superchats at the end like EFAP does. Really improves the flow
Awesome review Guy's again with the Cool Videos👍 love the energy🎃🔪 and when Marion says Evil Dies tonight to Tommy. I thought instead would make more sense for her to say Tommy Be Careful. Something like that.
Finally saw HKills and it was the epicness of epic loved every second of it might be my favorite
Laurie realizes what is happening from a distance since she is stalking Corey because he is dating her granddaughter and tries to stop Corey - so it becomes a battle between good and evil- meanwhile the town sees Michael is back and goes after Laurie saying if she dies, Michael will die too- they accidentally kill a few people couple people thinking it’s Laurie - while she is gone into hiding - Corey knows that Laurie knows what he Is doing and goes to find Laurie the same way - while
The town is out and crazy, the same ending happens where she has her encounter with Michael in her house - she realizes she can end this through Corey and when Michael turns on Corey and they begin to kill each other, Laurie does her thing and traps Michael like she did in this Movie.
It's show in the flashback Micheal can walk through the metal fence, like phase through it. Maybe he just walked through the house.
Michael had the best aim with a gun basically in the whole movie and he never even touched one 😭😭
They also focus on one firefighter named "Gamby". Wonder if that's a callback to Danny McBride's character "Mr. Gamby" in Vice Principals?
At the end there's a bit of a time jump with the montage. When Karen walks back into the Myers house, Michael is already in the house. Earlier, Karen stabs Michael then walks back/Michael kills everyone>Karen consoles Allyson & paramedics show up/Michael goes home>Karen looks at the window and wonders about young Michael and what goes on in his head like Officer McCabe>Karen goes up to Judiths room and looks out of the window/Michaels already in the house>Kills Karen as cops are showing up on scene> I'm sure Michael will figure a way out
1:56:40
I wouldn't like to see some untold story in this time line BUT it would be great way to start a new retro time line, or to do some late 70s period piece with an alternate Myers story
I wonder if Halloween Ends will line up with Randy's rules for trilogies from Scream 3 .
Mike and J, u guys were awesome!
Been watching you guys for 2 yrs! Can't wait to hear what u guys think about what's gonna happen in Halloween Ends !
Thanks for the support! Can't wait to talk about it!
There is no universe where he wasn't specifically stalking her...But then again Kills had that dumb fucking stupid line about the mind of a 6 year old boy in the body of a man
Jay is Hilarious 😂😂😂😂
i think it's practical if Ends starts with seeing what Mikey did right after knocking off Tommy and then showing how he snuck through the back of his crib to knock off Karen. Then showing how/where he could escaped to after that opening credits leading to the time lapse which current timeline starts. Sounds reasonable?
In this timeline, Michael Myers is basically the creeper from Jeepers creepers. Every X Amount of years he returns 😂
I think it was necessary for Michael to evolve from lurking in the shadows to brutality he was incarcerated for 40 years you know that the evil within built up and was ready to come out and oh boy did it!
What if they were to bring John (Hartnett) in as a potential product of a one night stand between Laurie and Ben Tramer or Hawkins.
Laurie needs to buy the Myers house and move in it and wait for Michael’s return
lmao that is hilarious I love it
Love the cable guy reference at the end guys 👍👍
Really hope they bring it all together in Halloween Ends.
ngl when loomis appeared i started crying. idk I just guess I thought I would never see his character again since his actor died. got me in my feels
I don’t think Michael being back in the house so quickly is an issue.
They were only one or two streets over.
Presumably Michael slayed the mob just moments after Karen left.
By the time we are back to Karen, EMTs are there, so some time has passed.
Little John left the back door unlocked.
Plus Michael knows how to drive and there was a few running vehicles sitting there
Love you Mike & love you Jay & thank you for appreciating us in the comments always
What about the biggest John of them all... Carpenter. Great score
Both of the new movies had awesome music!! I think it adds so much to the movie!!! He really deserves a lot of credit for how amazing the music sets the moods
