Neptune 4 Plus review + Red X helmet build!

Printing out the Red X helmet without using spray paint. Only sanding. I wanted to test the quality of the prints. They came out amazing! I was more impressed with the texture.

I use a small butane torch, just a big lighter and the strings go away. Nice video.

I have the same printer, I use ORCA Slicer and I did all the calibrations thru ORCA, and it prints amazing, and I've haven't had any stringing.

I try to use cura but pretty much every complex print with support fails. The basic small prints are mostly fine. Mask should be my end goal

I used to use Cura, but it didn't print the same as with Orca. idk

@Nimbus use a little bit of fire and all the whispy stuff will disappear. Use a light tough, but it works great.

I'll give that a shot! I tried my heat gun on a tiny part and it melted. 😭🥲

​@NimbusDesu heat gun is way too hot. Small torch never pointed directly at the print. Or just a plain old Bic is more forgiving

The proprietary nozzle on these is what makes me hesitant.

@@NimbusDesu well the design of the head causes a lot of blobs that make their way in through the threads of the nozzle. The nozzle from the video that I have watched is incredibly complicated to swap out and proprietary as well.

@@SaultiBalldeip Yeah, I have seen a lot of blob issues. I had one but caught it at a baby blob before it ruined everything. Lol

@@NimbusDesu 😂 yeah it's obviously due to the nozzle. I gather people are starting to realize that either the nozzle is seated too far or not far enough and the plastic is starting to find its way between the threads of the nozzle and of the head itself and squeezing out.
