    On the Neptune 4+ I was able to solve my first layer problem by preheating the bed for at least 10 minutes before I run the auto leveling. Larger beds tend to shift a little as they heat up.

      That’s a great pro tip

      How does one preheat the bed?

    • @mythicul
      @mythicul 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@StyloMakes manually set the bed temp, some printers may also have built in shortcuts for different filaments as well

    GREAT REVIEW:
    I had the Mingda Magician Pro. Accidentally broke the wheels that the bed runs on when I (too aggressively) tried to remove a print from the glass bed. Could not fix it, so bought the Pro2 a few days ago for $289 NEW from Mingda.
    Very excited. The Pro was an amazing, low maintenance printer. Loved it and can definitely recommend it

    Mr fedor, excellent video sir showcasing these two gnarly beasts.
    I appreciate that you made this video too, seeing as I am considering upgrading soon. I kind of have my heart set on what I want, but I I don't think I would have watched a video for these models or even considered looking at anything about them, if it had not come out of your channel lol.
    So thx. Love ur channel mang. Very pro, clean cut, entertaining and informative (and interesting)simultaneously 👍

    After a year or so of use, it would be interesting to take one of these beasts to a machine shop and put it on a "surface plate" and check it out with dial indicators to see if there is any "droop" when the bed is extended. All that weight cantilevered out is going to create accelerated wear on the rails.
    But the bottom line is that for what you give up in space for a 400mm x 400mm bed slinger, you could fit a 565mm x 565mm core XY into the equivalent area. Based on the square root of 800 (bed size + bed travel) x 400.
    So if "big" is the answer...

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, I agree. The thing that will keep these relevant though is cost. Imagine how much even the cheapest coreXY 565mm x 565mm printer would cost to make/buy. And then all the features they are packing…
      That’s really the interesting part of it all.

    I'm thinking about replacing my old SV01 mainly due to speed. It's a slightly smaller printer at 280x240x300(285 realistically). The Elegoo, after owning a Neptune 4 Pro, still has quirks. If you're using the screen to print, you need to plug in a flash to load the file from. Also, take a look at Fluids and check the storage. On the N4Pro you get almost nothing, and it won't print something that is over 330Mb using a slicer. You'll have to print that from a card. So I would very much like to see the next larger printer you have! Also been looking at the SV07 Plus from Sovol.

    Great video, Fedor. It's too bad that Elegoo rushed the Neptune series out, and it is clear that their engineers do not fully understand klipper. Hopefully, they will take their time on the next ones.

    I am looking for a large format bed slinger and was looking at the neptune 4 plus and max. I have the space for both, but I was wondering which printer is better overall?

    I love it. I have the Artillery X4 Plus right now and it's the same general ideal 300x300x400 bed slinger. I like the printer. I think there's a place seeing as the K1 Max is the only viable 300+ CoreXY and it is $899!! I could buy TWO X4 Pluses at that price lol

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea totally. For the price, it’s really hard to compete with these. It’s also nice that you can get them both in whichever size you need. A few quirks for both, but still strong. X4 Plus next. ;)

    You should do a review on the Bambu lab a1, do you think it would be a good starting printer for features on it and the decently low price, and good video I love you channel, you got me into 3D printing and I thank you for that, I got a Vineland Aquila long time ago and you where the only one with videos on it so you where my starting channel. But I do want to upgrade so should a bambu lab a1 be good?

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would love to. However, two things. 1. Bambu (for whatever reason) has never replied to a single email or contact form I have filled out since before their first Kickstarter went live. Not even an affiliate application so I can help spread word about their machines. Makes it hard to spread the love about their product when I cant even get an email response back. I have friends with dedicated contacts there and even they wont reply when asked about this channel. 2. The machine has a current world wide recall. Bambu has asked all folks with the A1 to not use it for 3D printing for safety reasons.
      With that said, thank you so much for your positivity and compliment. Im glad that you enjoy the channel. On paper, the A1 seems amazing and I know a few folks with them that LOVE them. You just cant buy one at the moment. Maybe the A1 Mini would be a better choice. I guess that is if you dont mind the smaller print volume. I hear great things.

    Great video mate, do you have any idea is the mingda can use klipper?

    • @zapplesplaysmc9767
      @zapplesplaysmc9767 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The mingda can use klipper any marlin machine can use klipper its just a lot of work you have to buy a rasberry pie depending on the motherboard you might have to replace the motherboard and you have to figure out how to install the klipper into the printer screen and motherboard and rasberry pies are almost never available and you have to pay for klipper so if you want klipper just buy the klipper machine

    • @Gryfang451
      @Gryfang451 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have a Neptune 4 Pro. If I had to do it all over, I would probably look at the Sovol SV07 or the Ender 3 V3 KE. It's much harder to get parts for the Elegoo and they sometimes take weeks.
