- My first day(s) in the Florida Keys I headed out with my good friend Rich aka Fishaholic to do some kayak fishing with artificials on this Florida Keys bridge. This two-day saga resulted in two of the most surreal catches of my life, as well as a multitude of other big bites.

Wow, that permit was the size of an African pompano... Nice. You keep your drag a little tight until in your vid 24:24. IMHO... Great Tarpon... Tight lines.
Broo permit is delicious. Why are you released? Or maybe this catch was after April 1st. Season Closed from April 1st to July 31
For my first ever permit I felt it was only right to release such a special sport fish

One night..I was pissing off the back of my houseboat just off wisteria island of key west one night and a giant Tarpon jump out of the water breaking the the night silence..threw me back onto my chair pissing on myself..there are Big Big Tarpon down there and don’t scare them taking a piss at night..

@@dillonfishing the key west bight or marina has giant tarpon that come right up to the docks..cool to sip on a ice coffee and watch em..kayak across to Christmas tree island or wisteria. You can walk on the island and fish the north side..nobody lives on that island. Right off sunset pier in kw.
