God Freddie’s voice is like crawling into a warm silky bed. Perfection. Queen simply unafraid to play every kind of music genre they enjoyed and come up up with their own genre. Freddie was so underrated and criticized back in his lifetime. The press couldn’t deny his voice but never gave him or any of Queen the credit for their artistry as musicians. Glad they are getting renewed interest. The public knew they were special. Freddie was just pure electric!
Tried to chat again.. but to no end..🤷♀️ I love this song I can imagine sitting in a jazz bar with Freddie on piano while sipping cocktails..a beautiful song. Again Freddie could do any genre.
I am so glad to be getting to the studio version of this beauty! This sits with Love Of My Life and You Take My Breath Away as the beautiful Freddie piano trilogy! As with those other two, these lyrics and this performance open Freddie up to the world, bare his innermost and display his genius.
I couldn’t arrive on time at this chat.., but I’m now taken a time to enjoy this BEAUTIFUL SONG..!!! That’s made me goosebumps..!!! Love Freddie’s voice.., and his amazing capacity to made music in any kind of style..!!! OMG ... that’s always been awesome to me..!!! Others songwriters have just one style... and it works for them... but Freddie is outstanding... no one like him really..!!! THANKS DEAR ANNE..., for made this possible THANKS DEAR FAITH..., Because it’s always a pleasure to see you sharing your feelings and your joy of life Do You know? In times likes this, is important to have places like yours ..., where you find virtual friendship... sharing similar feelings and experiences!! Big ... big hugs to all of you!!!
I can't describe how much I love this song! 😭😭😘❤️💞🥰❣️I dream of Freddie sitting on his piano one rainy day, with his sad melancholy face and a few hot bitter tears falling from his eyes, looking out of his window, holding a glass of his favourite gin & tonic or his Moet and Shandon champagne...🏘️🌧️🥺😢💔🤧🍸🥂And then he starts to sing these heartbreaking, touching lyrics with his warm, angelic voice and playing his piano with these soft, delicate and beautiful long fingers...! Aaaaahhhhh 😇🥰🎵🎶👉🎹 🖐️Okay, okay, I'll stop! 🤭🙊Ugh, I can't resist...! 🙆♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️I'll post the lyrics right now... ✍️ Let's go, Freddie! 😍😍♥️ Another party's over And I'm left cold sober My baby left me for somebody new I don't wanna talk about it Want to forget about it Wanna be intoxicated with that special brew So come and get me Let me Get in that sinking feeling That says my heart is on an all time low - So Don't expect me To behave perfectly And wear that sunny smile My guess is I'm in for a cloudy and overcast Don't try and stop me 'Cos I'm heading for that stormy weather soon I'm causing a mild sensation With this new occupation I'm permanently glued To this extraordinary mood so now move over Let me take over With my melancholy blues I'm causing a mild sensation With this new occupation I'm in the news I'm just getting used to my new exposure So come into my enclosure And meet my Melancholy blues
This song fits right in with, and is as good as, any of the great blues tunes of the 30s and 40s, Melancholy Baby, etc. Aha, we finally have a genre for Queen: "great songs." And wasn't Freddie's piano on this song wonderful! His high-level piano arrangements always fit perfectly with the style and feeling of each song! As do the works of Roger, John and Brian. Everything fits perfectly!
Freddie wrote yet another winner!! He loved that “Jazz” era of music along with opera. I have a suggestion- I know you won’t scale back in pausing every few seconds, but you missed a gorgeous flow twice. How about backing up a couple seconds when you are going to start the video again. That will help you to avoid missing a beautiful flow. This song is on the Jazz album- appropriate, right?
now we´re in "my" queen-segment. for my personal taste, the 4 albums from 1975 to 1978 are pantheon. that´s when they were most innovative. there´s practically no music-style that is not present on those discs. these albums are "a night at the opera" (1975, for example "bohemian rhapsody), "a day at the races" (1976, for example "somebody to love"), "news of the world" (1977, for example "spread your wings" and the one above) and "jazz" (1978, for example "mustapha").
@@OffTapLife One of my favorite Queen songs but with Queen it's really crowdy at the favorite song spot. You haven't done Millionaire Waltz,Bijou yet and many more. I know you probably have many requests but please try to listen to The Waterboys. Their leader Mike Scott is pure genius composer and lyricist and he's also very versatile. His most famous songs are The Whole Of The Moon and Fisherman's Blues but please try Don't Bang The Drum and The Pan Within. The last one is a must. And it's only four of his list of masterpieces
love it! can you please do a reaction to millionaire waltz and bring back that leroy brown! please please please illl love you forever and more than i already do now
Faith, thank you for saving us during this quarantine❤❤❤ You're listening to Melancholy Blues off the Jazz album and while you're at it, PLEASE react to " DON'T TRY SUICIDE!" It's an awesome song even though it's not widely played today but it was very very popular back in 1979 when Don't Stop Me Now and Melancholy Blues came out.
Who comes up with lyrics like that? Freddie Freaking Mercury! Many of the songs that incorporate other styles of music, jazz/blues, opera, rockabilly, gospel were written by Freddie.
His talent in song making and lyrics, melodies is extraordinary.
Special artist
Freddie's piano playing - John's bass - Roger's subtle drumming!!
@@johngraham5996 You're right - my phrasing was wrong.

Yea Adam this was indeed super beautiful!! Loved it!!
adam d as a Queen fan you have to first listen to their studio version and then consume the live performances to totally be astounded by their talent.
I go into this one already singing. This is MY favorite Freddie song (of.the.day)..Those piano skills!.Those.lyrics!..That voice!
Aaaand Queen masters another genre - smooth piano jazz.
I always thought Freddie sounds here like one of the great divas of Jazz. 😀😀

Another party's over
And I'm left cold sober
My baby left me for somebody new
I don't wanna talk about it
Want to forget about it
Wanna be intoxicated with that special brew
So come and get me
Let me
Get in that sinking feeling
That says my heart is on an all time low - So
Don't expect me
To behave perfectly
And wear that sunny smile
My guess is I'm in for a cloudy and overcast
Don't try and stop me
'Cos I'm heading for that stormy weather soon
I'm causing a mild sensation
With this new occupation
I'm permanently glued
To this extraordinary mood so now move over
Let me take over
With my melancholy blues
I'm causing a mild sensation
With this new occupation
I'm in the news
I'm just getting used to my new exposure
So come into my enclosure
And meet my
Melancholy blues
❤️❤️
This is one of my favorites, I actually requested a reaction to this one. Luckily I picked the live version, for a reaction.
Live is amazing. My fav is Detroit 77 no video though just audio, but it’s so sweet.
@@bettybaby63 yeah that's the best live version of the song, Freddie nailed it
Wow, I am blown away by the chords and the silky smooth of this song. I want to slow dance with Freddie to this one. Beautiful.

Amongst the most underrated arrangements for sure, can see him then or now, jazz bar, stadium, stage in montreux jazz festival, wow...
A great song that really showcases their special harmonies is “Bring Back That Leroy Brown” (A Capella Mix)!
Excellent song👌👌 try cool cat next!!!

Don't Try Suicide is really awesome song that isn't heard much today but I always loved it.

QUEEN 🇨🇱
One of my favorites. Hope you do Cool Cat soon.🤞
you should see the live version
How I love this song ❤😍
Agreed it is so beautiful!!
This song speaks to my soul 💙
Faith’s version of Meloncholy blues would probably be more like Freddies mood in “death on two legs”. 😂
Love your reaction 👍🏼☺️
Anne V. Just want to say a special thank you absolutely adore this song.❤️
You need to hear, You're My Best Friend, NOW!!!!!
That's called a "Torch Song".

Sorry to correct you but my meloncolie blues is from the news of the world album not jazz
Yes thank goodness for Queen while we’re all cooped up!
❤❤❤
This song has a few, slightly different versions, both studio and live

Ha ha now I get it.
I’ve never been able to go from live chat yo reaction. Do we stay here??? 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
John and Goofy....😂😂😂
Judy Garland era, Liz a Minnelli?
How do I pay for a reaction?
Freddie's vocals? Yes, we all know it. But let's, for once, appreciate his piano-playing talent. :-)
Hi try listening to Queen and play the game
you still don't know he was gay? :)
