😂😂😂 Well I, on the other hand, had never heard the song he chose in loop 1 ever before. Anyway, I find it awesome that the guys work together so well nonetheless.
As someone the same age as Geoff and Layne who grew up with a dad who loves Motown and jazz and a Mom who loved 1940s standards, I love that there can be such a diverse repertoire from across the ages. It's fun to see what genre of music they pick when they don't have to worry about "Will our audience like this?" THEY like it, and that makes it AWESOME.
"They teach me music from our history" - this is SUCH a good way to frame it! This whole video is amazing and I hope you guys enjoy making them, because we certainly enjoy watching them!!!!!
My son is Geoff’s age and I remember that song from my childhood. Not my teen years but my childhood. So they’re *really* reaching back to teach Cesar history. That’s generational divide spans *two* generations.😂😂
Geoff absolutely enthralls me with his deep, DEEP bass bedtime-story/songs that I listen to every night! But, BUT I must say a huge piece of my ear-hearts belong completely to Eli! Eli's voice is like an angel 's choir and Geoff's is how I imagine God Himself. Amazing the gifts that whole group has been blessed with.
I agree with you. VoicePlay needs to do the whole song with costumes and everything. Heck, an entire Elvis Presley throwback album would suit me just fine. ❤️
It's SO great to see a group of great people, who love what they do, are really good at what they do, and REALLY like each other -- getting to do what they love all the time. You GO, guys! Wish I was there.
This was a wonderful surprise. You are very sweet. I love this song. That's funny. Geoff, that was great. I think the secret to doing good work is solid friendships, and the perfect harmony of incredibly talented guys is also important.🙏❤️👏👏
I said it before and I'll say it again. The Loop series is undisputably amazing, and I love seeing a glimpse into a collaborative improvised arrangement
This series is fascinating to me. The musical talent, creativity, and ear for music it takes to simply "plug in" your part where it sounds right is beyond my comprehension!
Ok this is just another reason to love you guys: my cat hates when I listen to audio tracks on TH-cam. She will just jump down and leave the room. Well, not with VoicePlay! She is snuggled right up here next to me purring away! You have another fan!😻
Thank you for your inspiration. I get mail for the same person who has never lived here and keep writing "return to sender" with no results. Last time I sent it back i wrote on it using words and music written in bass clef (because I sing bass) return to sender, addressee unknown,no such person, ever lived at this home. The mailman took one look and just laughed and said that's a new one.
I truly don’t understand music and if I hit the same note twice when I’m “singing” it’s pure accident, as for singing the same tune as the person I’m singing along with… I can’t carry a tune in a bucket. I watch reaction videos where people who understand music are saying “Geoff is doing this thing; Eli is making it better; Layne is the back bone supporting everything with this beat; Cesar just sent it into orbit with that twiddle he did with his voice” and I’m just 🤯and thinking “I like the way Geoff’s voice makes my body feel as the sound seems to echo through me; Eli sounds awesome and I can understand the words, and he makes my ears tingle; Layne is making me think I could almost move my 2 left feet without causing major injury to myself or someone else; ah Cesar’s so young and his voice reminds me of skylarks in the spring. Oh my gosh how did that all become this song! It must be faerie magick!” I don’t have to understand it! I just know it sounds good and I love listening to your music. Thank you.
I spy revenge on Cesar for choosing a song in Voiceplay Loop 1 no-one knew 😂. Just totally amazing as always and annoying as hell - so much talent! Watch Eli choose a lullaby when its his turn - 😈. Well done chaps.
“They teach me music from our history”. I -think- Caesar was teasing, but you never know with these young whippersnappers. My daughter and I were listening to Marwin’s “This is Halloween” in 30 styles and she asked “who’s Frank Sinatra?” Dear God, where did I go wrong?

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this has to be illegal. There is no way people having this much fun can be anything else. And then, to make matters worse, you go and make criminals out of the rest of us!! Seriously, though, this was SO much fun to both watch and to hear. Thank you for all the hard work you all put in, and for sharing your gifts with the rest of us.
I assume that I am not the only one here who remembers this Elvis song when it came out in 1962 ( I was 12). Marvelous rendition. So happy that I "found" Voiceplay last week while googgling acapella"
I know that your real arrangements are made in a completely different way. But it's very interesting to watch you "make a song" without any training. This means that you are all in great vocal shape to the delight of your fans. ❤
omg your voices are a gift from heaven! ... i never ever heard this song in such an awesome way!!! ....all my respect from vienna/ austria 🇦🇹 ❤🇦🇹❤🇦🇹❤ .
I really enjoyed getting this inside look at the magic you all create and then label as "music" when we all know it is actually witchcraft and wizardry! Thanks for giving us a peek into your spell books guys!
Voiceplay, I love you guys! Your music makes long car trips better, cheers me up when I'm feeling down, and this loop video made my cheeks hurt from grinning. "Generational divide," LOL, Cesar you make me feel ancient, but you're adorable! I know the fan you've flicked in a few videos since "We're Good" is your biggest fan, but I come pretty darn close too! Guys, thank you for all you do! Eli, congrats on your son! I'm overjoyed for you! If he has your lung power, maybe he'll start an A Capella group in Kindergarten! Side note: You were my top listened to group on Spotify this year. And I listened to "Hoist The Colors" (and I'm dead serious here) over 40,500 times. So about 151 day's worth. I listen to it as I sleep! "Valhalla Calling" came in second, I listen to that every other night for hours (there's a lot more to it, more of a beat, so I can't really sleep to it). And no, I'm not obsessed...well...not in an OCD (which I have) kind of a way...more of a "Dang, they make such fantastic music!" kind of way. Because you do.
Someone teach that little whippersnapper that ten years is NOT a generational gap. 😂😂 This is fun! Hope we get a full version. Geoff seems made for Elvis covers, between this, Can't Help Falling in Love (with VP) and Way Down on his solo channel.
How can I say that I love this concept of loops. THANKS CESAR!!!! and what can I say more that I love you guys. And Geoff what a good choice! haha really I love... THANK YOU!! Guys, I've watched this like a bajillion times and I love it more and more with each watch. This really hit me just right - I love this peek behind the curtain to see how songs and arrangements come about! The process of this looks fun, like a game, and I love to see how one person's turn informs the next. The end product is ROCKIN and I wasn't expecting that...bridge section, I guess? to turn out as it did from the snippets you showed us in the recording process! Most importantly, though - it looks like you guys have a lot of fun doing this, and that translates out to us, the audience. More more more MORE VoicePlay Loops, please!!! 😍
This is another super fun loop!! I absolutely love it ❤❤!! Geoff’s vision for the final product is awesome! Cesar’s “they taught me music from our history” comment had me laughed so hard 🤣🤣 also fun to see Eli so happy in this video!!

You know, they do say with age comes wisdom.

The fact that Geoff casually goes Tenor to fill a harmony is INSANE!
But falsetto tenor, maybe? Still sounds great
