Dude. I love your channel. You're easily in the top-3 of my music related, and probably #1 in "guitar", TH-camrs. It's nice to see demos where the guy doing them isn't an absolute shredder that tells me nothing about how the equipment will sound with me playing it.

I've been watching Ryan's videos for a few months now, and then stumbled across the $20 delay shootout where he chose the affordaboard name. I was momentarily confused when I realised there was a time BEFORE affordaboard was a thing. It felt like a word that had already stood the test of time. Congratulations!

Now I'm in on the anadelay. Normally I dont like delays on my board but the warble from the fast setting for the tap delay has me sold for the tone I love playing with.
I got this pedal today and it's awesome. There is no mention about tap tempo and trail function even in the manual. Twinote guys, you don't have to be so humble !
I just got me a Donner Revecho, also $40. It also does not self-oscilate, but has tap tempo. It's fully buffered, so good at the end of the chain for long cable runs to the amp. You can select to have tails or not (applies to both the reverb section and the delay section).
It doesn't go to extremes for weirdness. Delay level at max is equal to input level, so you can't do odd stuff where your echo is louder than the original signal. No delay mix control where you can mix out all the original input signal.
The delay tone is a decent analog style, warm repeats that degrade, but not in a lo-fi way or a modulated way. Standard analog approach.
The reverb sounds like a bright plate or a smooth spring. Somewhere in that ballpark. Whatever it is, it sounds nice for surfy stuff.
Odd form-factor, only two controls for the reverb side (decay and level), so you can't really dial out the reverb brightness or such. The knobs aren't quite ideal - I wish it was easier to dial in the slapback delay times - it's doable but not perfectly easy like some other pedals make it.
Regardless of it's few deficiencies, I think for retro sounds it's EXTREMELY good. I put my filtron axe into middle position and was rockin' some Eddie Cochran shit for a long time yesterday. I then maxed out all the controls and used the tap tempo, and lost myself in outer space for a while.
So, if you're going to pay $40 for a tap temp delay pedal, check out that Donner Revecho. Highly recommended for blues, oldies and surf stuff.

Check out the Xvive Sweet Leo. Its a killer budget OD that can do the Vox/Fender class A drive tones. Very lively pedal.
That whole series of pedals were designed by Thomas Blug. It's my new fav drive pedal, and it was only $26 from Amazon. Highly recommended
Hi, Ryan. Love your videos. I have a question about this pedal, and i hope you can help me. You have to hit the switch twice for the pedal to register the tempo or you can hit it more than two times for setting the tempo?
how does the Twinote BBD Delay compare to this one in terms of sound and functionality?

I hate to be the party-pooper here, but the TH-cam algorithm is looking for relevant terms within the context of this particular channel. That's how it avoids manipulation - in layman terms. Obviously a lot more goes into it than that.

@@sassycat I think I just googled it once. Use * on both sides for bold and _ on both sides to do italics. There's maybe a couple more for underline and strike-through, but I rarely use them so I forget.

Behringer has a boss clone. I bought it used as a last minute emergency gate that I planned on replacing later with the TC electronic gate, as my used $10 donner crapped out. I still use the Behringer, it works.

Analog or digital?
I think it’s a simple digital. I was just checking something on it shortly ago and by memory (technically I was testing a few things but I’m almost certain it was the Twinote) it made a sound racking one of the knobs that only my digital delays make.

I got myself 2 "Kokko Timer" pedals a year ago, for under $19 each. I'm sure it's the same pedal, but, usually, cheaper. So, if someone is looking to buy one, check Kokko's price first. 😉
The Kokko Timer is advertised as a digital echo though. Don't know if that's correct.
