Jazaka Allah brother omar Sulaymaan, at time lapse 2:20:18 there's masjid In North Somalia town call Sayla'a 🇸🇴 have two qibla One towards Qudus where the othe to Makkal Al-Mukarama historians tell this dates back to when the qibla was masjidul Aqsaa because When Islam reached Somalia for first Migration ( Hijra) to habasha modern day east Africa this means that masjid in Somalia would first Masjid in Africa also one the first in the world after Masjid Haram, Aqsaa, nabawi and qubaa there's are not more writing about it but Allah knows ❤
The brother made a mistake in saying that was the first one in Africa, it isn’t even amongst the first 3 masjids. And you’re right about the masjid in Somali, but the one in Eritrea was built first by the companions and the masjid in Somalia was built right after it.
Mashah Allah, may Allah increase your knowledge Sheik Omer Sulaiman. I learned so much from your lectures about the Imams. My knowledge was very minimal prior to listen your lectures about the 4 Imams.
Biography well portrayed. What an amazing human being he was ! The most significant part is the sacrifice of his mother. صدق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم "عالم قرشي يملأ طباق الارض علما" جزاكم الله خير الجزاء ..امين
Thank you very much sahykh omer suleiman .This is a very very wonderful lecture about this great Imam and Mujaddid may Allah have mercy upon him. Please pray for me because i want to be as knowledgeable as Imam Al Shafi‘i (RA).

2:55:45 this is scary… to have such a thinking 😰 Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon يا مقلب القلوب ثبت قلبي على دينك ❤❤❤❤ اللهم ارنا الحق حق وارزقنا اتباعه وأرنا الباطل باطل وارزقنا اجتنابه 🤲🏻🤲🏻🤲🏻🤲🏻 Oh Allah Show us the truth as a truth, and make us able to follow it. And show us falsehood as falsehood and make us able to shun it. 🤲🏻🤲🏻🤲🏻
So they are teaching the teachings of our beloved Rasul (ص). They would never say anything against. Even they mentioned that if there is anything against in my books throw my book on the wall.
Usool of Imam Shafi'i 1. Quran and authentic hadith (single vs multiple chains didn't matter) 2. Consensis of sahaba 3. Indivisual opinions of sahaba (chooses which sahaba mainly Ibn Abbas) 4. Did analogy not too much 5. Did not go witch what his heart feels if no proof (called it an innovation) Bassically combination of madhabs of Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Maalik but leaned to Imam Maalik from what I understood
Assalamualaykum. Wonderful sharing on the Imams, masyaAllah. I didnt realise how strict Malaysians are on Shafie until the remarks made. There is quite a historical context to it which translated to a belief and hitherto state government policies. On a side note, I made a point not to read qunut once every while to show my children that its not wajib / rukun. What i may need to do more is to put my hands on the side during recitation of fatiha and sura, just so they know that even in Shafiyyah its not obligatory. Back to to strict adherence to Shafiee. Even with a homogenous fiqh jurispundence practice, other non Muslims race such as British has been able to gain control of the land since the 16th century. Muslims in Malaysia have a tendency to split - part of it because, like America, we are a melting pot of diversified ancestry i.e. from different indonesia tribes, south asia ethnicity (kerala, tamilnadu, northern indians), thai and caucasions (yemeni, turkic). We hv been a nation of migrants. And for reasons unexplained, Malaysia has a high power distance (refer Hofstede and BMW per capita). So leaders coming from different power bases jostle and vie for positions. And often, like what happened in Andalus, muslims sided w non Muslims to attack their brothers. And we know what happened to the Emiriyyates in Muslim Spain - and Malaysia is a younger nation than that. The muslims in Malaysia now, who is a slight majority, are split into 5 (at least, i stopped counting) major political parties while the non muslims are predominantly represented by 1 single party that is an offshoot of the PAP, Singapore. Who do u think will win big in the next elections... May Allah opens the heart of muslims in Malaysia and other parts of the world, to be true brothers.
Really enjoying this series, but a quick correction it isn’t the first masjid in Africa isn’t even the second or 3rd as there were masjids that were built during the prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him ) times. One such masjid is the one still standing in Somalia that was originally facing Jerusalem and is now facing Mecca. And the one built by the companions in Eritrea when the first Hijra to Axum occurred.
Salah din,Egipto, asham, absinia ,etiopia ,india, indonesia and malasia, yemen, sirilanka, são alguns paises que seguem imam shafi e Moçambique também é um deles.
Dear Assalam Alaikum, I have a question., Imam Shafi work encompasses the work Imam Maliki and Imam Abu Hanifa. He travelled around the world to achieve his compilations which were continuously refined. My question is whether works of the other 2 imams become outdated
1:22:25 TIL that Imam Shafi’i loves jokes. 😮. I’m from Southeast Asia where we’re predominantly Shafi’i. No wonder many preacher in our community also loves to incorporate jokes in their lectures. just listen to UAI or UAS and their majlis is full of crowd and laughter😂, but of course they’re also very staunch and spot on in their delivery.
Salaam sheik can you please inshaAllah tell me the link that imam Jafar asSadique had on fiqh in general as I heard now imam Shafi respected imam Malik,Hanafi and the special relationship he had with Nafisa daughter in law of imam Jafar as Sadiq, is he perhaps the source of all our schools ?
Firasah.. there is a study in University in Canada. But their level of correlation is so much basics than what was described by Sheikh Omar (if i recall, they found correlation on religiosity and male sexual orientation - still very basic) I wonder where is this knowledge captured in the Islamic world now
i think to say "Ahlil Rai" people of Opinion or something is a very duff thing to say... i wouldn't name it as such in 21st cent after all knowledge and understanding we have vs that time. but imam Shafi subhanAllah what a great man
did i misunderstood that he started teaching at 15 at mescidi haram ( mufti allowed him at 15) so why wasn't he balig to feast ? i surely miss something.. its also said around the hour that during ramadan halaka and teaching meclis stopped.. right? how about the nakil about him drinking water during ramadan while teaching ? i am missing something..maybe i should watch again.
Demokrasi No to Junta I wasn't balig at the age of 15 and I am a girl. So it's not a big thing for a boy not balig at the age of 15. And all the majalis used to close but this does not mean that it was something obligatory.
One is baligh when certain things happen biologically. If they didnt happen yet and the person reached 15 lunar years of age, then he or she is baligh. Wa Allaho a3lem
If Allah will raise at end of every century someone who will revive the Sunna, is that not a proof of the illiteracy and ignorance of the that Muslim Umma. Are you saying that the present Muslim Umma are illiterate and ignorant?
Reviving the sunnah means that the sunnah is missing. Which it is. Even countries such as Saudi Arabia don't fully follow Islamic Law. That is just one example.
Who else is watching this in November 2024 ❤
Very interesting
I am crying right now. I just love the four imams. And I love so much Rasulullah saw and his sahabah. Ya Allah pls makes me among the Muslim muhmin.
You will b with the one u love, prophet s.a.w.. said, inshallah bro
Allahumma Ameen !

So they are teaching the teachings of our beloved Rasul (ص). They would never say anything against. Even they mentioned that if there is anything against in my books throw my book on the wall.

2. Consensis of sahaba
3. Indivisual opinions of sahaba (chooses which sahaba mainly Ibn Abbas)
4. Did analogy not too much
5. Did not go witch what his heart feels if no proof (called it an innovation)
Bassically combination of madhabs of Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Maalik but leaned to Imam Maalik from what I understood

Wasalam
Brudda I didn’t understand your comment saying putting hands on the side while reciting Fatiha
What during prayer ?
@@generalgeneral3032 hands on the side i.e. during recital of fatihah, i do not, once every while, put my arms on my abdomen.
@@merewah3612 I don’t get it sorry
Think it’s just safe fo me to stick to keeping palm on palm over my bellybutton lol
Assalamualaikum, I'm a Malaysian too & in the same boat as you. May Allah Azzawajal guide Malaysian to the truth, Amin.

Please name a book that contains detail biographies of four imams. There can be one book for each.
abu Zahra's the four imams
and GF Haddad's the four imams and their schools
Salah din,Egipto, asham, absinia ,etiopia ,india, indonesia and malasia, yemen, sirilanka, são alguns paises que seguem imam shafi e Moçambique também é um deles.
It isn't the first masjid in Africa, on record it would be the two in Eritrea and Somali that was built facing Jerusalem (now facing Mecca)
Maasjallah
Usool madhab starts 2:40:45

Salaam sheik can you please inshaAllah tell me the link that imam Jafar asSadique had on fiqh in general as I heard now imam Shafi respected imam Malik,Hanafi and the special relationship he had with Nafisa daughter in law of imam Jafar as Sadiq, is he perhaps the source of all our schools ?
If anybody has the slides, can u please provide it ????
Ffwd to 42min and watch 3min to first laugh then be humbled😂
Which school of thought. Best describes you. Sh. Omar?
Jazakallah
Firasah.. there is a study in University in Canada. But their level of correlation is so much basics than what was described by Sheikh Omar (if i recall, they found correlation on religiosity and male sexual orientation - still very basic)
I wonder where is this knowledge captured in the Islamic world now
1:19:01 1:19:06 the poem.
💚
Imam which mazhab do u follow??
Sheikh Omer Suleiman is Hanbali
Imam malik - teacher of Imam shafi’i who is teacher of Imam Ahmed bin Hambal
i think to say "Ahlil Rai" people of Opinion or something is a very duff thing to say... i wouldn't name it as such in 21st cent after all knowledge and understanding we have vs that time.
but imam Shafi subhanAllah what a great man
Where do you take this class?
Bayyinah Institute .. America..
1:42:25 Astaghfirullah
You want to know who he is listen this part. 42:10
So he went behind his teacher back to give a different ruling and that is praise worthy to you idk
15:10
Thanks
I don’t think it is the first Masjid in Africa
What is the madhab this shaikh
Hanbali
58:48 the Original investigators I wonder if they were the ones copied by the makers of Sherlock holmes.
59:02 heheh
Phone rings at 1:47:16.
30:21 SIX YEARS OLD!!!!!!
what happened to the sound
Sultan Ahmed forward it to 16 minutes..
15:10
did i misunderstood that he started teaching at 15 at mescidi haram ( mufti allowed him at 15) so why wasn't he balig to feast ? i surely miss something.. its also said around the hour that during ramadan halaka and teaching meclis stopped.. right? how about the nakil about him drinking water during ramadan while teaching ? i am missing something..maybe i should watch again.
Demokrasi No to Junta I think u missed because this guy is well read
I have same doubt
Same thougth.
Yes
Ignorant and illiterate fits with what i see amongst muslims in general.
Your mileage may vary..
