ahh KazZ just found this as your follow up which is wonderful so can really see the comparison better side by side , my goodness KazZ the sound of your is just ..... love it see what you mean shall certainly be having to do that on mine , did you put heated grips on what other essentials would you recommend would be most welcome, see you dont have a sump guard

Yes I had triumph heated grips fitted, took the cat off and fitted an x pipe, crash bungs, tail tidy and a screen. That’s about it really, I absolutely love mine, off to Spain next week on it, very comfortable for touring 😎

Thanks for the video. I’m contemplating a speed twin from tiger 900 as the tiger is too top heavy for me with pillion.

You're welcome, thank you for watching it, I appreciate the support 😁 Yes, I will do a video with my luggage set, it's a great kit and easy to use which is a huge plus!
A video on negatives, hmm 🤔 that wouldn't be very long. The most annoying thing I find on the ST is the side stand is well hidden and even after riding mine for two years I still have difficulty finding it 😆 Absolutely no space under the seat for anything, not even a lipstick! OEM tyres are awful and I put Michelin Road tyres on straightaway. I will have a think and try and put something together 👍

Had my 2019 speed twin 1200 from had it as a birthday present for 70th great bike , I test rode a 400x a couple of weeks ago couldn’t wait to get back on my 1200 twin 😎👌☕️ps first thing I did was put thruxton pipes on much nicer than the black things it had.
Oh wow Fred, what an amazing birthday present 🤩 they are a cracking bike, I absolutely love mine too although I do prefer my black pipes as I have a black bike so they look cool 😎

The amount of times manufactures have switched between upsidedown and conventional forks🙄 They’ll make their mind up one day 😂 Great video BTW👍

I’m not too keen on the upside down forks, think it spoils the look of the bike!

I love the sound of the 1200, is it better to daily than the speed 900 in terms of suspension?
Yes the 1200 is lovely especially when you have taken the cat off and put an x pipe on 😎 the suspension is better than the 900, take one for a ride and see what you think 🤔 let me know if you do as I’d be interested to hear
That fairing should be standard issue on the new bikes, it looks awesome

They definitely are, go well too 😜
The newer bike is no doubt better as standard. But the older bike is better if you want to modify it. For example the cat is welded to the headers in the new bike so it's harder (not impossible) to decat. I prefer the paint on the older bikes too although I would probably just get it in the black so there isn't any difference there. Both lovely bikes.
Yes I would agree with you about the cat, it was fairly easy to decat my bike. Personally I prefer the forks on mine too, I don’t think the upside down forks suit the new bike but that’s just my preference! Definitely agree that the black is the best colour too 😍 are you thinking of getting one or do you have one already?
Yes, strongly considering one. I've had a T120 in the past.

wish there was a higher seat for the st1200 like the scrambler 400. little more leg room. !
Yes I think that would be a good idea although at 5’6” it’s perfect for me!
wish is had a huge comfy pannier seat. !
The seat is fairly comfortable, okay for day to day riding, when I’m touring I put on a sheepskin seat cover which works perfectly
