I've been playing Soundgarden's Outshined for many many years now and I love that Drop D song. I never get tired of playing it. In my opinion it is definitely one of their greatest songs/albums ever released. Such Awesome! Metal.🤘
Dude looks like another boring substitute teacher and he tells the class he plays bass. He pulls it out and turns the class into a mosh pit. Good work tho. I love the energy and you deserve more love from TH-cam.
My hell would be; stuck in a room listening to this type of music.... It's one step above rap for me.... I wanted to see how the fret board was navigated with only one string tuned to D but I did not make it passed the second song... To each his own I suppose..... Peace out!
I guess these are HIS choices. If you made a video with YOUR favorite basslines with dropped D I'd probably watch it so go for it, especially if you're using a different bass to the one he's got. Love hearing different tones...
Tool - Ænema is absolutely full of incredibly catchy riffs.
Patrick, that tone on "Engel" was fantastic!
I love the Thomann and Patrick Hunter collab. Two of my favorite channels covering bass guitar.
Finally, a video about lines in drop D without Killing in the Name and Schism
Perhaps for the next one in my opinion.
Outshined- Soundgarden
Sober - Tool
Green Machine - Kyuss (although drop C)
Kyuss (and many of Josh Homme's projects) play in C standard, not dropped.
Patrick, love your energetic playing. Great stuff!
So many great songs in such a short time. ❤️
What a great raw brutal sound.
Interesting choices, would love a list of 1/2 step down tracks too (“Jenny was a Friend of Mine” by the Killers is a great 1/2 step down bassline.)
U2-New Year’s Day would fit in this list, too
I'm sure you could fill a video with RATM, but my favourite is Testify. Loads of fun to play.
Danke für die Video, Viele Grüße aus Mexiko 🇲🇽

good pick and nice playing 👍
Killing in the name of by Rage of course!
Thanks Patrick !!!

Cool list!
SOUNDS REAL GOOD
Duff rocks Drop D hard, some of my favourite Drop D lines is from Duff for sure
“Killing in the name of” is also a great drop D song from the same album from rage against the machine :D
A really nice „non-Rock“ Drop-D bassline is „Gotta get funky“ by Doctorfunk.
Driven by Rush comes to my mind.
Nirvana’s “On a plain”, lot of fun to play
... good video. I'd also nominate Another Brick In The Wall Pt II. Very simple. Pick and a p-bass but that low D makes it.
yeah
I love the sound of bass guitar, my favorites are: 25 or 6 to 4 (Chicago), I got your number (La Bionda) and Just for tonight (Gilbert Montagnè).
A great non-Rock example of Drop D: Kansas City Milkman by Level 42.
Rock On by David Essex. Such a cool song.
Just discovered the band Gnome with "Wenceslas" and "Kraken Wanker" both in drop D. Listen to the tunes before you watch the videos.
DROP D(at) BASS
"5 great songs in the key of D minor" was the alternate title on this one
Hahaha, would be, but would be wrong... :-)
Tool Schism
My intro to drop D was learning the pink floyd song. We don't need no education
You should add "By the way" by Red Hot Chilli Peppers for the next one!
Tab's be great
Scentless Apprentice, Blew, On a Plain to name a few
New Born - Muse
The way he said engel🤣
Sunny Day Real Estate - "In Circles"
Drop d bass lines to check out...all tool bass lines
Seriously!? somewhere Justin Chancellor is crying…
He didn't include Chancellor because that wouldn't be fair
I thought The Wall by Floyd would be included.
Julia is bold now ??
Soungarden yes
Rest lame!
No tool? Do you even bass bro?😂
Where Julia PepoSad

Why are all of these rock songs? I play in stop D all of the time and most of them aren’t rock songs.
Donno they are cooler probably lmao
@@davu9027 rock is good but only including one genre is limiting.
@@asherskerrett5979 yeah true but it's just 5 of them in a short video so maybe they used rock to appeal more

@@KimSE4 I'm just happy he chose some deeper cuts and not the basic top 5 drop d songs like schism
