Fishan is my favorite Ellie!!! Know he is in pain with leg issues. Colic can be deadly. I had a horse die of it. With horses are given muscle relaxants along with painkillers. Horses get a twisted intestine and lay down and can't get back up. At least Fishan was eating a little. Fishan is a tough fellow!!! Thanks for taking good care of him!!!

@user-ck6ve3ck4v I suffer from the same problem, and absolutely do not eat certain foods. But sometimes that doesn't matter..you still have issues. I've been fortunate in never having to be hospitalized. Infections can lead to serious surgery, so please be vigilant. It's a pain I wouldn't wish on anyone. Poor Fish...I felt terrible for him when he tossed his trunk over his tusk.😔 Be well, Big Fellow..stay safe. Many thanks Adine, for letting us all know.❤🐘💞

I’m SO glad Fishan got over his colic 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼- in some animals colic can be extremely dangerous to their health -unfortunately my Arabian mare passed away from it, just days before foaling - SO thankful there was something that could be done!🙏🙏🙏
As a lifelong horse owner I know how difficult colic can be to treat. Hope Fishan is feeling better. As you said he could have eaten too much of a particular plant or bush. That certainly answers a question I had about elephants. Their digestive system is similar to a horse. I feed my horses pellets also because it’s more digestible.

I love how he moves the bucket closer instead of him going to the bucket. That shows so much intelligence 😮. He understands there is a foreign object and that he has power over that object. He understands space and the two different positions (of him and the object) in space. He is brilliant. Get well soon, big genius ❤

Cried throughout this. I cannot stand seeing an animal in pain. I am so glad he ate those pellets, as he was not eating anything, his trunk was just hanging listlessly--so sad and distressing to see!!
