This is Kacee's first time watching reaction to the movie "Not Another Teen Movie" (2001). "Not Another Teen Movie" shows no mercy as it skewers the conventions and clichés of the genre you hate to love. Join Janey Briggs (Chyler Leigh), an aspiring artist who is outcast by her classmates for wearing glasses, a ponytail and paint-covered overalls; and Jake Wyler (Chris Evans), the all-American football star who makes a foolish bet to turn Janey into a prom queen, in a risqué romp with an assortment of twisted takes on classic teen characters and teen movies.

The greatest jamie Presley movie is TORQUE it's fast and the furious but with motorbikes directed by Joseph Kahn famous for music videos he won a grammy for Eminem without me and Taylor swift bad blood he's worked with everybody from Britney spears to snoop dog Janet Jackson, the back street boy's. But my favourite has to be BIKER BOYS with laurence fishburn as smoke the king of Cali on his hayabusa and kid rock as his rival Dogg on a ZX12R
your editing style has too many editing changes that are repeated throughout the entire reaction.
*React is overloaded with editing changes. It's visually exhausting.*
*Zooms are unnecessary.* the zooms force you to watch and do not allow you to choose.
Best way is : showing the reaction of both of you simultaneously allows us to choose which reaction watch.
*Removing the reaction to only show movie scenes is unnecessary.*
Because We entered your video to watch the reaction of the two of you watching the movie.
The movie is just a complement that serves to follow your reaction.
The movie scenes don't work without your reaction.
PLEASE NEVER remove your reaction to show only movie scenes.
*I understand you need to edit the scenes to avoid c0pyright but please keep your reaction on the screen every time.*
*Your reaction do not have copyright/ the movie scenes had c0pyright*
The only thing that needs editing are the scenes of the movie. (Not your reaction)
Your reaction must be on full screen at all times.
I tell you this from the point of view of a video-reaction consumer.
My attention is focused on your reaction, the movie scenes only serve as a reference,
I enter to watch your reaction, not the movie.
Less editing makes essier to enjoy 40min video.
Sometime less edit is better
I love this movie, excellent choice. By the way the brother sister incest jokes are from "Cruel Intentions". Also the hand job reference (Lazy Charbot, Mean Girls) is "Hardly Can't Wait". Video camcorder is American Beauty
(Comedy) Movies to watch: The Ringer, Date Night , Jo Koy Don't Make Him Angry Netflix , Fired up , Benchwarmers , Cellular , Fluffy's Magic Mike Story , Stadium Fluffy Netflix , Hot Fuzz
Could you guys please react to something other than these weird comedy genre movies. It's starting to get boring.... Maybe mix it up. You guys are seriously behind on new anime 😢
The incest stuff and the sloppy girl on girl kiss comes from Cruel Intentions (1999) starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillipe, and Reese Witherspoon. The bag thing is from American Beauty from the same year. Neither are comedies but they were pretty popular and involved teens so I guess that's why they were added.
I’m surprised that they didn’t catch the reference from 10 Things I Hate About You
Ill never forget the MTV movie awards that year. That moment was up for best kiss lmao.
I cant remember if it won or not lol
I did my senior thesis on a rhetorical analysis of American Beauty when it came out. Luckily I had a friend in 1999 who worked in a theater who let me in to watch it for free. I got an A-. Success!
@@bradkirchhoff5703 It won in 2000
Chris Evans was funnier than most people remember
Wasn't this his first movie?
That's because most people weren't even born during these times.
This is how I remember Chris Evans. When he was cast as Captain America I had my doubts but he nailed it.
@@andrewgrove1691 Basically. The Newcomers was technically first. Other than some educational film
Looks Jakey, Jakey is about to make a big…mistakey. God, I love this movie lol
This movie is an example of the parody genre done right.
If you're not gonna go balls to the wall, don't start the parody car!
🤠👍🤠👍🤠
It was one of the last actually funny parody flicks before they got downright dumb AF with crap like Date Movie, Disaster Movie, etc.
@@alucard624 Epic Movie was the WORST.
@@alucard624 I watched Date Movie when it came out in theatres and I remember the guy who owned the theatre was giving people refunds because so many people were leaving half way through the movie and he felt bad because he didn't screen test the movie himself to see how absolute shit it was.. I remember thinking "Yup that's the Death of parody movies" Studio's knew they could shovel out cheap garbage covered in fart jokes with no effort and still make a profit
@@alucard624100% correct
Sorry but no, this is definitely not « done right » 🙄😑
Oh this movie, the parody of all the teen comedy movies and not to mention seeing future Captain America as a banana split. 😂🤣
Captain Sugartits😂
I really love the 'two black guys at the party' scene. It's so quick but so great.
The weird sister trying to get with her brother is based on Sarah Michelle Gellar in 'Cruel Intentions' 1999
& the guy with the camara is 'American Beauty' 1999
and they said that Melissa Joan Hart's cameo was "random". They must not have watched "Can't Hardly Wait.". She was in that movie and the "slow clap" was very much a part of that movie.
I was trying to remember the name of the movie!!
What's funny is that the actress playing Janey was in another movie as the romantic lead and the male lead she was trying to win over was her own real brother. They end up kissing at the end.
The girl they kept pausing for is actress Lacey Chabert. She is a parody of Jennifer Love Hewitt from Can't Hardy Wait. They were co-stars in Party of Five. The slow clap and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" were in that movie as well. Can't Hardly Wait is a less raunchy American Pie style movie. Totally worth the watch.
She seems like the kind of girl who would give up a huge opportunity
Shut up meg. LOL
The incest part is from a movie called "CREUL INTENTIONS"
Which is the American version of "Valmont" and "Dangerous Liaisons".
All three from the same French novel.
Please watch this movie :)
'Dad...that's Mom' 🤣🤣
Do "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood"
Second it
Classic
yes please
It’s hysterical 😂😂😂😂
"Break Yourself!"
"look at that, SHE'S GOT PAINT ON HER OVERALLS!"
I think this is a classic! Before Chris Evans was ever Captain America I knew him mainly from this movie! This movie is hilarious.
Same, this is my favorite movie ever. I'm not too into superhero movies so I've never seen Captain America but it's wild to me that how most people know him now, he'll always be Jake Wyler to me !
Same
Um yes, and I’m pretty sure this was made at least ten years before the first Captain America movie.👍🏻🇺🇸
Chris Evans was The Human Torch from Fantastic Four before Captain America.
Jannie’s got a gun 😂🤣🤣
…this movie killed me when I first saw it. Shit was funny as fuck 😅
I’m surprised that they didn’t catch what that was from… it was 10 Things I Hate About You
Chris Evans is so underrated as a comedy actor. He has perfect timing, the facial expressions, & he's not afraid to go out there & look absolutely ridiculous for the sake of the joke.
I absolutely LOVE when Janey falls through the damn stairs and all that shit falls in on top of her! That would be soooo brutal!!!! "Come on outta there honey, quit fartin around"
Nothing to Lose with Tim Robbins and Martin Lawrence is one of my all time favorite comedies.
Bulletproof with Adam Sandler and Daman Wayans is also pretty funny.
not hating on your choices, but damn bro... so many better movies exist.
@@ChrisB-k7b “one of”
I also didn’t want to select super common films.
People regurgitate the same shit over and over.
@@ChrisB-k7b Bulletproof is hilarious.
@@BrandonWestfallwas gonna say those some dope picks and def under the radar.
I haven’t seen someone mention Bulletproof so it’s fun to see it get brought up! That’s a good one for sure.
The big character parodying Varsity Blues is played by the same actor who was in Varsity Blues.
Reggie ray
He's not parodying anything, he's playing the same exact character 😂
@@fabian5813 He can still parody playing the same character. Richard Crenna did it too.
yeah. If you watch the BTS on this DVD he had a interview where they talked about the parody and he was like ''oh, hell no. Nobody is making fun of me except me''.
RIP Ron Lester
best spoof movie ever
I remember recommending this movie to all my girl friends who crushed on Chris Evans after the first Captain America movie. Good times :D
"... Oooo, that's going to stain."
Words to live by.
Great reaction, yous guyses. You're one of my favorite couple reactors. Keep on keeping on and Gritos from Tejas.
"Through their area?!"
Oh you guyses.
The old lady student was a parody on Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore. The brother/sister incest storyline was a parody of Cruel Intentions. Loved the reaction. This is probably my favorite parody movie!! Oh, and the football trainer choices Archer and Bob from Bob's Burgers! He's great!
I watched this movie waaay too many times when it came out (I was 9)! I can honestly say I can quote this movie from beginning to end 😂
The moment I read Chris Evans had been cast as Steve Rogers I thought of Not Another Teen Movie and started laughing like an idiot!
There may or may not have been a banana in the ass joke after the coining of "America's Ass"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right?! I rolled my eyes at the idea of him playing such a serious iconic role as Cap. Fast forward to Endgame with him walking toward Thanos solo, and all i kept thinking was "No one could've done it better"
You should watch Hot Shots movies next
Absolutely love you two and your reactions. But I cant believe you still didnt do Hot Shots 1, 2, Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Space Balls!!! :D Come one everyone wants to see your reactions to these legendary movies :D
You also have to remember, the airport scene was filmed before 9/11/2001, back when you could go out to the gate to meet your family members, all you had to do was go through security.
Love the A-team music when MR T was talking
The Rage Carry 2 is a movie spoofed in this one that people forget about. Although that was a horror movie, it was also a teen movie, and an under rated movie al together.
Spoof movie that might be good to check out-
Epic movie, meet the Spartans,Disaster movie, Dance Flick, and Vampire Suck
So many references including "Can't Hardly Wait" and "Cruel Intentions".
when the random girl said "thats gunna stain!!" when she got water poured on her after getting out of the pool i died the first time watching this movie XD i still do lmfaooooooooo
lmao!! Without a Paddle- Seth Green, Matthew Lillard and Dax Shepard??
Oh hell yeah, definitely! That was a great movie
5:42 American Beauty
9:17 & 13:50 Varsity Blues
12:20 Cruel Intentions
the guy with the camera & floating bag is from "american beauty" & Mr. T's zipped up coat is a reference to "I know what you did last summer"
IMHO, this was the last of the greatest parody films, after this they started getting stale and trying too hard.
So quotable.
Spoof/parody movies, where the pop culture reference IS the joke, have never been funny.
Scary Movie and Not Another Teen Movie were amazing because they came out before the FLOOD of different spoof movies came out. Mr. T in the rain coat is being Bruce Willis from Unbreakable. He would go around in a raincoat helping/saving people. I might be overlooking the comment, but I'm not seeing anyone bringing up that Cris Evans was first a Marvel character as The Human Torch from Fantastic Four, before being another Marvel character, Captain American. I love Chris Evans in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Are we all just ignoring Good Charlotte as the prom band?
KINGPIN directed by Farrelly Brothers. Starring Woody Harrelson , Bill Murray, Randy Quaid, and Vanessa Angel . It's hilarious. 🤞✌
This is the most hilarious movie ever, especially if you recognize all the teen film references.
This is going to be hilarious. One of my favourite teen, 2000's, comedies.
It was a parody of all of those movies 😉
I watch these reactions for Anthony's laugh..😃
Referenced movies included "Cruel Intentions", "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "Rudy", "American Beauty" and "Can't Hardly Wait". The dream girl in "Can't Hardly Wait" was played by Jennifer Love Hewitt. She and Lacey Chabert starred in the TV show "Party of Five". The references are everywhere. This movie is a nice laugh.
Isn't jawbreaker one of the movies as well? 🤔🤷
Pretty in Pink too with the parody of Ducky.
Never been kissed too with the old lady.
@DJ-hl8mg yeah particularly the hallway walk with Priscilla. Unfortunately people forget about it, and credit Meangirls for the hallway strut.
American pie is the whole scene in the beginning of this. Where Jims mom comes in then his dad while he watching "Illegal channels"
Walk it off Marty!!!
Do it for Martys torso!!
Always gets me. Great movie
Yo, you have to show her Revenge of the Nerds.
As for TSA Not if your here illegally then you can skip security and boarding lines without needing to give a photo ID!!
I suspect you might have needed to see Cruel Intentions for a few of the jokes. And a couple from Can't Hardly Wait. And American Beauty.
Oh, the "Wannabe Asian Kid" was one of the cast members of "Freaks and Geeks" which was a great TV series set in high school in the 80s.
Chris Evans debut film. The actress playing the lead girl was later in the CW Supergirl series.
Watching Kacee gets grossed out never, ever gets old.
You should watch Can't Hardly Wait
This movie requires several watches because there is so much humor in the background! On top of the background voices that occasionally chime in, check for anything in the background thats written. The effort they put into jokes that would largely go unnoticed is wild
That infamous kiss scene was nominated for Best Kiss that year at the MTV Movie Awards lol. No Im not joking.
6:12
She was also the Yellow Power Ranger from Lost Galaxy. I’ll be off now.
The brother and sister is a reference to an amazing movie called cruel intentions, it's exact to it
Cruel intentions...that's the repeated movie reference with the sister
Chyler Leigh from Supergirl tv series really looks AMAZING here.
Mia Kirshner was so hot in this and nice shout out at the end for The Perfect Score. Great movie.
The cast and cameos were perfect.
most of the scenes are parodies of Cruel Intentions
Jaime Presley was great in the show My Name is Earl.
Not enough people react to this
Thank you for pointing it out.. I honestly didn’t know that was Molly ringwold was in this.. makes sense now. I didn’t recognize her first time around
That's Clarissa, not Sabrina - she explains it all.
"THAT'S AMERICA'S BANANA SPLIT!! Isee what you did there...
28:08 I am about 85% sure those were paper boys, parodying the movie Better off Dead from 1985.
Hello Anthony & Kacee!😊 The parody with the creepy guy and the camcorder and bag is from "American Beauty" (1999). I think this film actually improves with age, as you don't see films like this anymore. I did remember the part with the sister which is pretty funny. Great reactions to this fun raunchy comedy, Kids!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
Four main movies this uses as the base line for this movie, are "She's All That", "Varsity Blues", "Can't Hardly Wait" and "American Pie" with even a few 80s teen movie references.
"Want my two dollars" - paperboy, Better Off Dead.
I unironically enjoy this movie. It may come across stupid, but it KNOWS it's stupid and doesn't take itself seriously. Same goes for the American Pie movies (the main four, not the spin-offs that are trying too hard)
Did you see "She's All That!"(1999) before this? cause that's the main movie it parodies.
Did they parody Never Been Kissed?
@@nsasupporter7557 I don't know...
The foreign exchange student and the irl brother of Janey's actress both played power rangers
How I see Chris Evans
1. Jake Wyler
2. Steve Rogers
I love this movie.
Put Can't Hardly Wait on your list. Not as raunchy but a fun high school movie.
Which one will be... the lucky one.
Jamie Presley looks so much like Margot Robbie they could play siblings.
oh my god, this is going to be a ride.
The simp is referencing Ducky from 16 Candles with Molly Ringwald
I’m surprised they didn’t catch when they referenced 10 Things I Hate About You… the scene where he was singing in the bleachers and they tazed her
Some ideas:
Eurotrip
Road Trip
American Pie(1,2,3, Band Camp, Reunion)
Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back
National Lampoons Van Wilder
My Boss's Daughter
National Lampoons Going The Distance
Wedding Crashers
Sex Drive(R version. Unrated is actually a garbage version. Trust)
The Girl Next Door
National Lampoons Barely Legal
National Lampoons Dorm Daze
Saving Silverman
There is something about Mary
Varsity Blues
Just Friends
The Rundown
Shanghai Noon
Shanghai Knights
The Tuxedo
The Medallion
I think they did a few of these. The Eurotrip one was really funny
The dude with the camera is an American Beauty reference, it was a 1999 film starring kevin Spacey and Mena Suvari. Kind of a teen movie.
Not gonna lie, for years and years I couldn't take Chris Evans seriously as Captain America because to me he would forever be Jake
Why? Chris Evans was The Human Torch from Fantastic Four before Captain America.
@@tj_2701 because for some reason here in Brazil this movie would play every other week back in the day. I've seen it waaaay too many times to cement these people as their respective characters
Besides Chris Evans, some of the other actors and actresses went on to have prominent careers. Chyler Leigh hit her career high on Grey's Anatomy, and had a good run on Supergirl. Eric Christian Olsen just ended a 14 year run on NCIS: LA. Lacey Chabert is one of the queens of Hallmark films.
terrific movie, mean jokes, meta jokes, a song and dance number.
jake wyler is MY captain america
How could you miss the many Cruel Intentions references?
You should try dog soldiers or maybe chocolate not the rom com but the Thai one with martial arts.
If I had a nickel for every time a former yellow Ranger actress got completely naked, I would have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it is weird that happened twice.
Thuy Trang had a nude scene?
I remember watching this movie as a teenage and thinking the humor was dumb and immature. South Park has always been the kings of satire.
My favorite comedy of Leslie Neilson is "Spy Hard."
Recommendable.
Underrated comedy, same with Wrongfully Accused.
They aren't Naked Gun quality, but they are still a lot of fun
Fun fact: the Paramedic having a spit contest with the Coach is H. Jon Benjamin, aka Bob Belcher from Bob's Burgers and Sterling Archer from Archer
Watch Can't Hardly Wait. My all time favorite teen comedy!
Oh my god! Someone else who loves the other guys like I do!!
S*e*x Drive is another great movie.
A reference a lot of people miss is the brother/sister dynamic and the old lady kiss scene is from the movie "Cruel Intentions".
randy quaid..is such a funny guy, but as far as parodies go..this is an amazingly well done film
Probably the most awkward movie watching experience ive had since i watched it with my parents as teenager
LOL 😂
This is by far the greatest spoof film ever made. Honorable mention for Scary Movie.
The solo that ended the movie is from Whiplash. You need to check out the video of Buddy Rich (mentioned in the movie) playing that solo & LITERALLY having a heart attack in the middle of it. DUDE KEPT PLAYING & KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!
Some great comedies you have missed. Hangover, Sometimes about Mary, 40 years old Virgin, and Dodgeball.
Also the first movie by the Wayne's Brothers before Scary Movie Don't be a menace.
Fantastic reaction, I remember this movie from back in the day lmao. My comedy recommendation is the movie : "SPY" with Melissa McCarthy, it's HILARIOUS I promise you, by the same director of Bridesmaids (also a funny movie). Spy's got everything, I mean every scene has a really funny joke, not like 'hehe.." funny, like 'HAHAHAHHAHAHAH' actual funny, trust me, honestly it's SO GOOD. I still laugh now knowing what'll happen lmao, you guys will have a great time!
They're doing can't hardly wait too, the girl Ted Mosby looked at the pastry strudel girl was supposed to be Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sabrina the teenage witch was on that movie. The 3 guys were a cross between the kids in that movie and American pie.
great movie
I think the brother-sister thig is a reference to "Cruel Intentions"
