    I found this at Sally's Beauty Supply ; $25.99. I am growing out my salt and pepper, I got highlights but the toner has faded out, so I picked this up to tone the highlights again.

    What would you recommend the shampoo or the mask or both to better get rid of brassiness?

  • @serenaholland1546
    @serenaholland1546 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can get the Matrix brass off mask at Ulta. I just bought it a couple days ago because I just recently lightened my hair and my hair turned very orange quickly and I just used it for the first time tonight and I’m wondering if I should do the shampoo and conditioner prior to the mask?

  • @zirimizo8794

    Salons are professionals. Ulta, Amazon, etc online sales are all different chemicals. Outside may look the same but the products are made differently. Hope that make sense.

    I’m a natural brunette but have gotten some pretty ORANGE streaks from hard water. If you had to recommend either the shampoo or the mask, which one would it be ?

    • @DanieladeAzevedo
      @DanieladeAzevedo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ruby! The mask is stronger than the shampoo as it is a pure blue pigment whereas the shampoo is a mixture of blue and purple. Because the mask is not a chemical color it will actually be best to go into a salon and do a gentle toner in your hair and then use the Brass Off as maintenance.

    hi, this video is great! I'm planning on rebonding (hair straightening) my hair because I've watched videos and they said I need to use rebond conditioner and neutralizing cream. For the cream, I bought a matrix brass off color-obsessed - neutralization mask. Would that be fine to use as the neutralizing cream?

    Hi! I have a question. I naturally have really dark brown hair and wanted to end up with a light mousy brown color, so I toned with a 30 developer two times and was left with orangey with a little blonde color. I waited a couple days and went to Sally’s and bought Wella’s 6AA/542 blonde intense ash, I mixed that with 20 developer and dyed my hair. I’m now left with the same color I had before the dye but it has a bit of brown to it. I don’t know what to do now!!! :( Please help, I don’t wanna spend $$$ at a salon

    • @DanieladeAzevedo
      @DanieladeAzevedo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey hun I'm not familiar with Wella color as I work with L'oréal color in the salon. But by the sounds of it because the developers you were using (30 and 20vol) all of them will lift through your undertone. Because you say you have "really dark brown hair" the color would have first exposed the red and red orange undertones in that first color and the second color with the 20vol would leave you with the orange undertone. It is a lot easier if a stylist sees your hair in person. There is bound to be a good stylist within your budget ❤ Just search around. Hope this has been somewhat of a help.

    Question. Is this only for coloured hair? I'm a natural dark brunette and sun leaves my hair brassy towards the ends, and I hate how it looks. Will this work for me?
    Thanks.

      Natural brunettes can totally use the blue shampoo, it’s formulated for darker hair, whether dyed or virgin.

    Thanks for doing this video! I had a caramel balayage done on my dark brown hair and it went really orange within three weeks. My hairdresser gave me the masque treatment but I haven't tried it yet. I wanted to try the shampoo and conditioner first (I'm a little intimidated to do the treatment by myself.) I'm curious - do you need to use the masque treatment? Can you get similar results with just the shampoo and the conditioner?

    • @DanieladeAzevedo
      @DanieladeAzevedo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Deb Blanchard it's my absolute pleasure thanks for the comment. In South Africa we only have the Brass Off shampoo and conditioner for retail and the Brass Off treatment that I tried in the video is for salon use only. I have been really loving the shampoo and conditioner on it's own but I would highly recommend doing the treatment as well for best results. I find when using the shampoo it is always good to leave the second shampoo on your hair for a few minutes before rinsing.

    • @dzb1198
      @dzb1198 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the feedback. Here in the U.S., I have access to the whole system at a specialty beauty supply store (Ulta), but I didn't get the leave in conditioner because it seemed to be for blondes. I used the shampoo and conditioner last evening, but I know I didn't leave the shampoo on for the full 5 minutes that was recommended, so it didn't cover all of the brassiness. I'm going to try again in a few days, leave the shampoo on longer, and see what it does. Then, this weekend, I'm going to try the mask treatment.

      @DanieladeAzevedo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I absolutely love the Blond Absolu range from Kérastase! The insalon FusioDose booster is incredible for on the day highlights. The Cicaflash is the conditioner in the range for hair with more yellow to pale yellow tones, the Brass off range is for Orange undertones. The concept is similar but for two completely different undertones 😊 hope that makes sense.

      Sarah Wood Thank you so much for this question, I have been asked this before on Instagram. I feel that the Fanola and Brass off are two completely different products. One is a shampoo and the other is a treatment. I personally feel that the Fanola is more powerful but the Brass Off lasts longer in my hair (the Fanola will last about 2 washes and the Brass Off will stay in my hair for 2-3 weeks). Daniela de Azevedo Hi! Yes it helps, so is Matrix any different than all the other purple shampoos? I mean I have Used ION, The Generic purple shampoo, Pro-Voke Touch of silver that did nothing to my hair at all. I have watched videos on Matrix and thought ummm that looks like what I want it to do. I use Overtone to put the color silver in my blonde so I’m wondering, Should I use Matrix first then overtone? Thanks for your advice! 🥰
