Its not the 500-600 on k series but the ring gaps are tight on stock motors.as Honda build them for NA.so above 380 whp the k24a2 has risk of blown rings(as they expand with heat),or if the bite the piston and pistons break. If motor is very old, like 150k-200k miles old than u can boost it to 500 hp coz rings are worn and loose.
@@RuskiRedneck i also see the tuner saying the provious tune was lean. Next time while doing the breakin etc period, you can use autotune feature of Hondata. here i made a through video how to use that powerful feature th-cam.com/video/G2ukmAB4O50/w-d-xo.html
That fuel pump your running is know to loose a lot of flow at higher fuel pressures. The 255lph is at base fuel pressure. When you increase it with boost reference it starts loosing efficiency as the pressure increases.

hey there. saw you're from portland area. i was thinking of going turbo as well, and could use some advice/tips. do you know a shop that could install the turbo in the area? and you recommend VIP for the tuning? was also thinking of wrapping my car if you have recommendations as well.
I’m still looking into the transmission. Thinking of going with a 5 speed but not sure yet. Will most likely finish the motor build and run it on e85. Once the trans goes I’ll upgrade.

6 speed CL9 owner here and also a die hard Honda fan boy. I'll shed a bit more insight on this.. The USDM TSX is equipped with magnesium transmission cases which are known to have issues with the input shaft bearing becoming loose from the mount being honed out due to the softer metal. Not too many CL9 6 speed TSX's make it far past 100k miles before they start showing signs. Magnesium is around 33% lighter than aluminum. I've done extensive research on this topic shortly after picking up my TSX. There are 3 options to resolving the input shaft bearing issues on the CL9 TSX. 1) Swap the trans with one from a JDM Accord Euro-R (aluminum case just like any other k series transmission). It's a direct swap with no modifications required and comes with a LSD. If you go with this option, you'll need to swap out the original magnesium transmission case bolts with aluminum ones since the original magnesium bolts are threaded in reverse, super funky. Apparently, aluminum and magnesium mixed can cause a chemical reaction which may corrode the metal prematurely. I found it interesting that in every place where there could be contact between the aluminum block and the magnesium transmission case, there was always some type of plastic used to prevent the metals from touching each other. This is the easiest option but may cost the most since the ASP3 transmissions are usually fairly expensive. I paid around $1600 for mine around a year ago through a local Honda parts chop shop in southern California. But considering the amount of power you're pushing, this option may be worthwhile for the LSD alone; although I'm not sure how much power it can handle. 2) Purchase a 5 speed CM7 Accord transmission case and swap out the internals with the TSX. All the mounts will bolt right up. 3) Install a DC5-S transmission from a k20a2. All but one of the mounts will bolt up. The one that does not bolt up will require welding/minor custom fabrication.

Hell yeah dude! 428hp is really good, nice to see what I’m kind expecting down the line when I go turbski
Taking over my wifes car, will definitely be in tune with these videos 🤝
Definitely some good info on this channel and glad I found it, might be replacing my speed 6 with a tsx and boosting it shortly after
Dang I have a 2012 msp 3 with 335whp and with a new baby part of me Really would rather have a tsx. Problem is not easy to find a manual tsx.
No they are not. Most are clapped out but they are out there.
Looks good my dude. That’s plenty for that car to terrorize some V8s lol
Heck yea man, time for some MT drag radials
Did not know Clarke Kent🦸🏻had a boosted k24😳😳😳😳😳
Ruski looks like Superman 🦸🏻 😂
Looking forward to e85 + drag radials rematch against the Evo 😎
Gave you a sub. Im picking up one of these this weekend. Can't wait to boost it

Definitely the tune. A good tune goes a long ways with these motors
where did u get the gauge pods of the a pillar
Sick video can't wait to boost mine later this year, but u need gripper tires now
Absolutely. I have a set of 17s ima get some meaty/grippy tires these are 265/35r18 and still spinning
I need a timing chain video bro pleaseee ‼️
There’s a handful out there for the k series. I can make one here soon. Will be putting together a sleeved block here shortly.
Hey bro what type bov you using ? Sounds great
The bov came with the Cx racing kit. Some generic brand. The plan is to upgrade but I’ve had no issues with it so far.
What turbo kit? Car sounds great bro 💪🏻I just got myself a 04 tsx 6 speed
Thank you! I pieced the kit together myself.

The pillar I made custom fit it’s from a wrx

What do you think rev limiter should be with k20 oil pump and stock valvetrain?
I’d stick to 8k. Mines at 8.3 or 8.5 with a upgraded springs.

Yes driving home from the tune
Insane horsepower . Is that a Garrett T3 turbo you have in Tsx ?
It’s the $500 Cx racing gt35r
