  • The Northeast Corridor (NEC) is an electrified railroad line in the Northeast megalopolis of the United States. Owned primarily by Amtrak, it runs from Boston through Providence, New Haven, Stamford, New York City, Trenton, Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore to Washington, D.C. The NEC closely parallels Interstate 95 for most of its length, and is the busiest passenger rail line in the United States both by ridership and by service frequency as of 2013. The NEC carries more than 2,200 trains daily.
    The corridor is used by many Amtrak trains, including the high-speed Acela, intercity trains and several long-distance trains. Most of the corridor also has frequent commuter rail service, operated by the MBTA, Shore Line East, Hartford Line, Metro-North Railroad, Long Island Rail Road, New Jersey Transit, SEPTA and MARC. While large through freights have not run on the NEC since the early 1980s, several companies continue to run smaller local freights over some select few sections of the NEC including CSX, Norfolk Southern, CSAO, Providence and Worcester, New York and Atlantic and Canadian Pacific, with the first two considered to have part-ownership over those routes.
    Take a brief ride along the Northeast Corridor and learn what is available to be discovered, Learn the basics of operating NJ ALP-46 electric locomotive, New Jersey Transit Transit Multi-Level Cab Car, Learn to operate the Amtrak ACS-64 electric locomotive, Amfleet Cab Car & Learn the basics of understanding ATCS, ACSES & ASES Train Safety System's.

    Hi, the Alp-45DP is the same Loco as the DB Class 101, the American Loco

      @potatoman451 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the alp46. The alp45 is a dual power locomotive so it's different from the 101. It might have similar fronts, but it only has 1 cab compared to 2.

    There seems to be a lot of the same issues we always see with ATC/ACSES from DT. Lots of sudden and random speed limit drops that you don’t have the slightest chance to prepare for. And then it just immediately goes back up to the regular speed limit. DT has had these bugs in TSW for literally the game’s entire existence.

      That means there's ai trains in front of you or some other signalling specific rules.

      @@potatoman451 I’ll have to rewatch the video and see if I missed something with the signals. Thanks.

      @@ryanmorrison3699 You're also correct in that there are still issues with atc/acses. It is a much improved version compared to before, but there are still issues. Signalling is a complex thing to simulate after all

      @TwistedGamin it takes time but you use the same person who does the tutorials or Matt all they have to do is a quick intro "Welcome to train sim world enjoy Commuter journeys from NY-Trenton use the ACS64 and the anfleet to move commuters and tourists across the route welcome to TSW 3 NY - Trenton."

    This ATC/ACSES system is so dumb. What kind of system tells you to slow down by shouting "YOU'RE BREAKING THE SPEED LIMIT! EMERGENCY BRAKE! EMERGENCY BRAKE! EMERGENCY BRAKE!"
    Or am I missing something?

      In the US, there's a lot of route knowledge the engineer has to know. You have to memorize speed limits and where they are since you don't have a lot of speed limit signs. You do things in advance. Atc/acses is there as your second hand basically. You adjust your speed according to what the signals are showing and what your adu says
