i can confirm as someone who has played carbon in all three games; that when I saw the new kit I said "it's carbonin time" and carboned all over everyone
I love the custom jr kit!!! It literally spawns a new team archetype alongside explo that plays around chip and revon with like an aoe weapon to finish people off and an all rounder shooter to round the comp. I think it could even make the splatanas better and in general i think wave is hella underrated actually absurd how much this kit does
Yeah I have to agree another good Wave breaker kit is huge for the Splatana since it combos so well with them but splatanas don't have much synergy with the current Wave breaker weapons.
As someone who used Wasabi in 1 (but couldn’t get behind the Inkstrike too often given how vulnerable you were) but now that we have Triple Inkstrike, I can definitely see myself picking this weapon up.
One thing that's bothered me a lot about tri-strike is that, a lot of the time, the massive throwing range of the beacons actually makes it more difficult to place the strikes where you want, especially on low ground. It kind of makes me wish the things could just be thrown at regular velocity

Really happy with it as I loved the wasabi shot in 1. Also it made sense because typically the splattershots have 3 kits and two of them are aggressive so the last splattershot I’m predicting right now to have burst bomb reefslider as a reference to 2s kit 2nd edit: I didn’t see the jrs kit yet but I’m guessing it has booyah bomb and like burst bomb. Giving it fighting potentially while also being able to spam burst bombs and booyah bomb. Also aerosprays kit from toon 2 was a good kit on the wrong weapon and jr is better to have it because it paints just as well as aerospray and it’s a 4 shot which is pretty alright when it comes to killing power

Anyway, my prediction for the third Shot kit is that it will get Burst Bomb and one of three specials, these being Inkjet, Reefslider or Ink Vac. I don't really see it getting anything other than Burst as it's been on it on the past two games as well, Jet and Slider are self-explanatory. As for Vac, I'm guessing they're gonna want to make a supportive kit for the last one like the KShot?

Same here. I loved the carbon roller in Splatoon 1. Splatoon 2's Carbon Roller Deco, while okay, I didn't feel as threatening and it felt like I had to move closer to opponents for kills. Also noticed that sometimes hitting them with the roller from an angle didn't always kill instantly unless I used burst bomb first. Splatoon 3's Carbon Roller felt somewhat better but I don't like using auto bombs with it, so I am glad to have burst bombs again and especially the tri-zooka for more range.

I think triple inkstrike deserves to be able to swim in-between shots as a buff in the next patch. If tri-zooka and tenta missiles of all things can get that I see no reason not to give it to tristrike as well

Rip my dream carbon kit of burst bomb, wave breaker though trizooker is great. I feel wave breaker could have made carbon really good by either exposing enemies to get the jump on them or being a starter/ follow up to help you finish the enemy.

Prediction: Third kit could be burst bomb inkjet? Splattershot has never had anything besides the 3 basic bombs, and the 2 ttek kit is quite beloved for inkjet, so it seems like a no brainer to make the third kit the best burst bomb kit splattershot has ever had
So glad we got our Burst Bombs back for Carbon. That alone is gonna make it the best Roller unless Big Swig is really insane. And Zooka while difficult to use is one of the best specials in the game. Sure you won’t be getting it much but the main weapon and sub are already insane enough that I don’t think it’ll matter. The Vanilla isn’t bad, Auto is alright and Zip is solid, but man Deco is just fantastic. As for Tentatek, we already knew it had Splat Bombs from the trailer, and now we got the special. Like everybody, I would’ve preferred Inkjet, since that combo was one of the few good kits in Splat 2, but Tri Strike is great too. It’s nice to have it on a weapon that’s actually about painting. Tentatek is gonna be getting it way more often than the other weapons with it, and so I think people are gonna start liking the special a lot more. I mean, Mr. Grizz uses it to attack you for a reason. Super happy with these kits. These and Custom Jr. will likely be the star weapons of this update. The new ones could be, but I think Nova and Big Swig just look solid right now, but I’ll admit that Snipewriter looks pretty crazy.
I've only got one complaint about T-Tek and it's super minor but I'm disappointed Splatoon 3 is adding dupe kits already. The only shared kit so far was with Naut and Explo and while Splat bomb Tri-strike sounds super fun there are so many dang possibilities it feels like a shame to copy paste them already
I gotta admit I am a bit sad that TTek doesn't get Inkjet, it's by far my favorite special to use but it's on weapons that I'm bad with so I never get the chance to use it. When it comes to the new weapons though I am interested in the bucket deco because it sounds really cool
Another weakness for brella: the small tristrike spam niche it had is now gone thanks to ttek. And the two subs it really needs have been taken by cjr and carbon deco. This patch feels like a slap to the face for brella users.... But on the flipside im very happy with these kits, they sure made up for the other 7. Carbon deco and ttek are gonna be absolute menaces
They just need to buff sprinkler and fix the netcode for brella, and for second kits? It needs Autobomb or possibly Torpedo and either Wave Breaker or Ink Vac imo.
I feel like nobody's talking about the forge pro kit, it's my favorite new kit and I might even main it now tbh, I hate the line marker so it's nice to have a functional kit on a pro. The splattershot nova tho...I dunno, it might be good for painting but even first few shots the spread seems a lot more unreliable.
Now I wouldn't really rely 100% on the table turf card. The sloshing machine has killer wail depicted in it's table turf card. Not saying it's not gonna have tri strike, but there's always the chance that it's not actually gonna be tri strike.
Guess I'll have to replace Roller with Carbon Deco. Would have appreciated a kit that makes you look smart but yeah, Roller is just outclassed now (or at least Carbon Deco fits me better now)

I’m more of a Dynamo person but I really can’t wait to try out this Carbon kit, it looks insane.
I love Burst Bombs. The weapon doesn’t matter, but finishing off people with Burst Bombs is satisfying (one reason why I play Mini Splatling).
