I cant read and I thought the title was "Drunk GREENE Screen test" and you were giving us a new replacement for Greene Daniel. But yeah the green screen is great.
My question about Eye of the World ever since I saw it first: Why is Lan twice the size of Moiraine? And not only them, but their horses also? She's a like a tiny child riding a dog.
“Alright it’s 7 after a long day and a night of drinking” “Calls himself daddy Daniel” Hidden episode? (Daddy Danny please use green screen more often)
As an ebook new reader of the series. My favorite thing after finishing the books is going to good reads and looking at the old covers. They seem so hilariously inaccurate to what I picture that I just love them. The Fires of Heaven especially with Mat looking like Crocodile Dundee.
Yeah most of the art I've seen of Mat (and Rand) seems along the lines of this cover and he looks pretty cringe in a dull, grounded kind of way. In the books he's heavily implied to have a dramatic fashion sense despite mocking Rand if you read between the lines and it gets damn obvious when he's talking about adding 'just a bit' of lace around the cuffs ... and maybe the collar. Yet Rand will just grab whatever, it's an unreliable narrator.
I just realized that Aviendha is on two of the original covers, The Fires of Heaven and The Gathering Storm, but Min and Elayne are on none. Checkmate, Elayne and Min fans.
Seen another "booktuber" of Fantasy- he just looked liked he smoked week, to the point of being high, like- all the time. The guy has around 1o subs...

I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, buuut I would have read these books a long time ago if they had been given better covers. I avoided reading The Eye of the World for years because I hated the cover so much. lol. (For anyone curious, I just finished reading it for the first time last week.)
Eye of the World cover is easily one of my favorite covers ever. Such nostalgia for me, but also, it just conveys such a wondrous feeling. The actual artwork is one of the strongest out of the series - the composition and lighting and colors pallet are by far the best of the bunch. It's the only cover art I would put on my wall. I agree that the artist hadn't been told who was in the 'party'. Agree that Path of Daggers is one of the best. Again, the composition and use of color is way better than many of the others and the artist's people are anatomically correct and naturally posed. Agree that Memory is the best actual art work. The people look like people and aren't super-stiff cardboard cut outs. The fabrics are great. The framing of everyone works pretty well as does the red rock vs color of people. Also... do more videos slightly drunk.
Dan Lafferty I think the criticism of “guy with sword” covers is about it usually just being held casually by his thigh, lmao. The poses are always the same.
UltimateKyuubiFox I think it’s just as problematic with some of the intense overhead poses and such. There’s no doubt Memory of Light is a better cover than your standard “guy with sword” cover. But....if someone had no prior knowledge and looked at it, they probably wouldn’t see much difference.
Liking solely for the level of editing in this video, it must have taken a while Edit: I also love how Daniel's shirt is transparent at points, making me think hes not strongly in Tel'aran'rhiod
The “A Memory of Light” cover is by Michael Whelan, who is well known in the field. I just found out that you can purchase it as a print (I think, if I remember correctly, it’s 20“ x 30“); I ordered it a few days ago.
You should do a video about the Japanese Covers for the following reasons: 1. There are multiple covers per book. In Japan they split the novels up into smaller volumes. So there's between 5 to 8 covers per book up to the 11th. 2. All of the covers are drawn by Katou Toshiaki in a style similar to Yoshitaka Amano's Final Fantasy artwork, and they're all beautiful. 3. Almost every main character is on the covers. There are also like 6 other sets of covers for different languages and most of them are really bad. Even worse than the US versions. The finish versions are all done in really bad 1990's CGI.
@@noblenurgle8609 Nah that's gotta be Thom. Noal is on the cover of Towers of Midnight, and looks super different. The guy in purple fits Thom's description better
The Michael Whelan cover knocked my socks off when it was revealed. RIP Darrell Sweet, but oh my gosh the aMoL cover is stunning. It's actually been the wallpaper on my old computer since it was revealed.
Okay, I have been watching daily since September and this is my favorite video you've done. This is my 2nd time watching today as it makes me happy. !!! I might have to watch this daily.
Honestly, this was so entertaining to watch, I didn't even mind the spoilers (I've only read the 1st book). And I feel so validated. I thought I was the only one who yelled at the characters depicted poorly in bad book covers. Could not stop laughing! Even drunk, you're brilliant. Definitely looking forward to more green screen videos.
Is it just me or does the guy on the Crown of Swords look like he's doing green-screen and someone told him, "Don’t worry. We'll add the spear in post"

Been a fan since you had 5000 subs (hipster brag moment). I just want to say how much I love your success. You clearly work very hard and put so much passion into the channel! Keep it up, Daniel.
Daniel, the green screen is Badass. Great video. Buzzing Daniel=Best Daniel. Also, in case no one has mentioned it, the scene depicted (Poorly, I might add.) on the Lord of Chaos cover is the Aes Sedai Kneeling to the Dragon Reborn.
I actually see the non-matching cobers to what books hold in them as a benefit. Since the covers are very possible scenes, they reflect the stuff but don't spoile anything.
I loved this video Daniel! It was funny and surprisingly smart considering your state! Loved the green screen. Would love to see the new, audio book, covers also in the same format!
Man, one thing I always liked about The Great Hunt’s cover was that is shows Lanfear as Lady Selene. It was so cool to have a forsaken in disguise on the cover that we didn’t even realize until later.
I give the Green Screen a 6.5 of 10. Looks awesome but need to work on the disappearing arms, was a little much there. Drunk Daniel, solid 9. You sir, are a very opinionated and funny drunk, loving it! Sadly you'll likely never see this since I only just discovered your channel in the last week. 😔

Yeah most of the art I've seen of Mat (and Rand) seems along the lines of this cover and he looks pretty cringe in a dull, grounded kind of way.
