Thanks to Reddit, specifically the Panel Shows UK subreddit, for spreading the word and introducing me to your podcasts. I felt so special that you replied to another one of my comments that I have also been spreading the word :D
I only found these Herring POD casts tonight - technically yesterday- and I've been watching them non stop since 8 pm Friday night and it's now 5 o'clock Saturday morning. I've got to go to work today too so - fuck you Richard for creating something that's got me so absorbed I may have to phone in sick. A brilliant array of guest ( Barr this one - never heard of him) but I should reserve judgment until I've watched it. I'm only 5 minutes in - so Here's too another hour without sleep.
1:02:26 "6 billion people have died". Actually, about 100 billion humans have died - ie, about 14 people for everyone currently alive. If ghosts were real, we wouldn't be able to move for them.
There is this fallacy that the majority of all humans ever are alive now, which Osman seems to believe. I'm sure Arthur C Clarke once said though "behind each of us stand 30 ghosts". Maybe it was 13. I'm tired.
Because he's a TV producer he has the air of someone who's used to wrangling comedy "talent" while privately knowing that he is a lot funnier than any of them.
Oh ironies, I do know who he is - the guy from pointless. The irony? - I just commented I didn't know who this guy was in my last comment, before watching, and I'm sure he lives around here as I've seen him several times walking around the streets where I live. He is quite easy to spot as he is about 8 feet tall. Cambridge. Anybody know if he does live here ? maybe he's just visiting here a lot.
+elijah pink I have seen him walking through Cambridge a few times too, and he is super tall!! I read that his children live in Cambridge with their mother so he is probably visiting them regularly :)
Richard Fraser aah - A fellow 'Cambridgian' ( is that correct terminology?) ,. Anyway -there you go then! I did think about saying hello a couple of times when I saw him in my local on his todd - but then what ?. He seems quite a nice bloke on here. Although I read on another thread that Richard had said this was his least favorite of his Pod cast 'series'. Although that is not apparent from watching it. If anything he seems more animated than in many of the others.
Maybe you can answer me this too - Why, when making a comment on You Tube, has it started putting lines through the text. I know it does it when using unorthodox or just plain bad grammar. But surely they are not becoming like school teachers and highlighting mistakes ? We have to self 'edit' before 'publishing' ?
TBF, Osman being Heat's Weird Crush of the Year is probably the least obscure guest intro fact in RHLSTP (RHLSTP!) history. It was mentioned in every interview he did for a while.
+Alkapow Portstar Any news if that guy is still the only one who thinks Osman kinda resembles Jaws from the bond films? It's been 4 months. I don't, for the record.
Richard you look halfway hot here! You with a slightly thinner face is quite fetching suddenly! I wish more men wore their hair like yours in the states...
1664 views in 24 hours...do the maths do the maths do the maths....oh I dunno, a million views by March 2016 or so.....come on viewers, we can do better!

17:34 Perhaps the most sophisticated Yo Mama joke of all time.
Could you please explain it?
Richard Osman makes the best "Your Mum" joke I've ever heard in this episode.
Stewart Hannan @ 56:05
+Stewart Hannan but it's not like there were a lot of "your mum" jokes in this episode, so it's not hard to be the best.
I do not get it.
The stage looks like a Peter Jackson "forced perspective" set.
Bwahaha! Good one, it really does look like that.
Osman has what might be the best deadpan delivery ever. So much fun to listen to him pulling Rich’s leg.
Because he's a TV producer he has the air of someone who's used to wrangling comedy "talent" while privately knowing that he is a lot funnier than any of them.
We now have a Starbucks in Loughborough and yes you did freshen the air for a while.
One of the best ones. Cheers Richards!
I think the show that was shown because the Olympics were cancelled was Are You Being Served? Such a great episode.
Richard doing his Two Tribes theme music is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Richard dude you are one of the cool kids! x
never seen a guest make Richard blush with their counter-ribbing
Also. Well worth clicking "CC" on this. Those auto-generated subs are hilarious!
Wow! You are right! I am going to put these on all the time. "I was forced into a cormorant" at 8:17
*parp* K2 is in Pakistan, not Nepal.
Richard Osman in full sarcasm mode here I see.
That Chipsticks thing is true an all.

I love that they introduce the guest with some less known random fact

I * love* Highgate Cemetery. Always recommend to friends who are visiting.
Actually really enjoyed this one, didn't think I would. Think herring looks like he enjoyed it too :)
+Backtoblack005 yeah he does normally look like he's suffering through them......
Yorkie, mccoys cheese and onion, roof the rovers
Armstrong and Miller do a great who do you think you are sketch
That wasn't a Yeti on K2, That was a Brian Blessed!
Am I the only one who thinks Osman kinda resembles jaws from the James bond films?
otflipz1 it would appear that after 4 months you must be.
+Alkapow Portstar Any news if that guy is still the only one who thinks Osman kinda resembles Jaws from the bond films? It's been 4 months. I don't, for the record.
CAMZAB it seems not mate..............
Still not 😂
Yep, I'm gonna chip in with another no on the big "Does Richard Osman kinda resemble Jaws from the James Bond films" debate.
Also a douglas adams episode of doctor who scored about 17 million viewers due to an ITV strike IIRC. You can take that one to the bank
Rich looks like a hobbit in this one!!!
11:25 😂😂😂😂
And they lost
Get Tom Baker on. He's hilarious and outrageous like Brian Blessed.
A Baker/Blessed podcast would be an absolute treasure. Just them sitting talking about anything for hours. It's still not too late!
30:10 - yes, 2020
He finally resigned over the Margaret of Anjou question.
Gods Among Us, Both.
Gareth Bundy hows your uncle Ted keeping?
Richard you look halfway hot here! You with a slightly thinner face is quite fetching suddenly! I wish more men wore their hair like yours in the states...
Osman or Herring?😋

I can't stand any of the magnificent creations. Cloying.
