At first I was like WTF r they talking about?!?! Then I looked again at bust out laughing. Then I started singing the song. The old one not the one that's out nah. SMDH LOL 😂😂😂
I've always used the crockpot as I work long hours and you can't go wrong with it....until you come home and find your kids ate everything in it and left you the fat....😑
What time is dinner? If you want a cut of meat that will retain more of a roast-like shape rather than being flat like a chuck roast, try a bottom round RUMP roast. It is every bit as tasty and tender as the chuck but retains it's roast shape and is easier to slice. Be sure it is the RUMP though and not just a bottom round.
I did it the oven way and I also skipped out on the red wine but boy o boy was this delish! and I have tried other recipes on here but this is hands down the best! Thank you!
You dropping the fork at the end is my absolute favorite, it always makes me smile 😁. The Dutch oven method is tried and true, gives the tastiest results. Thanks for another great video!
I prefer to brown it like mad, (so I don't burn my actual seasonings, salt only burns beautifully) BEFORE I add my other seasonings, let the seasoning brown in a bit of butter to deglaze the pan at a much lower temperature. Pepper burns too if you add it too early, which makes it hella bitter, Gordon Ramsay does the same thing and, same with most spices they BURN if you cook it them too hot... Otherwise, love your work
Can you please explain what you used for your slurry. Corn starch and water? If so, what’s the ratio or Corn starch to water. Also, what material is your Dutch oven made of? Is it cast iron? Thank you!
Hey Mr Make it Happen!! I also prefer the chunk roast as well. All of them look delicious 😋 but nothing beats the slow cooked in the oven or crockpot method.. I cook the roast mainly in the oven.. Enjoy!! 😁🐞
Love the bloopers but I’m curious my daughter and I have a debate I’m assuming you eat one roast with your family but what do you do with the other 2? And my favorite method is oven also
@mrmakeithappen. First off I use just about every recipe from you. You have taught me how to cook on another level and I thank you for that. Hope all is well with you. So my question is, if I don't have any red wine what can I use for a substitution? Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family 🦃
I always make mine in a crock pot. It's so much easier. The flavor is fantastic! And very tender. My husband and my son are my biggest critics. They love it.
What did you pour in the gravy? Flour water mixture? I will be making this I’m making my grocery list now! Thank you thank you for all your videos even though I take full credit for all the compliments I get from the meals I make from your videos 😂😂 can’t let ppl know I can’t cook on My own 😂 keep em coming!
This recipe is spot on. I was making pot roast and it was pretty, fork tender but flavorless. Tonight my family went for seconds. And this is the first time I have ever made my own gravy. Thank you for this recipe. One of the reasons I didn't cook so much was because my meals were hit or miss. This gets me back in the game. I still don't like the soggy vegetables. So I made potatoes on the side. Next time I will make roasted vegetables on the side.
great video. I've got a suggestion for you with the pressure cooker version. Prepare the roast like you did and add it to the pot with onions, garlic and herbs. Let it cook for 1:10 then release the pressure and add your carrots and potatoes and cook for another 10 minutes. Then, let the pressure release on its own. You can shred the meat with your hands.
"That don't need nun but a BISCUIT!" 😆 I've always loved when you include bloopers at the end. I'm definitely getting a roast in the oven stat!
Shoot me to
Thank you for including us who cook without alcohol
Hello, beautiful, how are you doing today?
On the thumbnail it looks like Mickey Mouse
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
At first I was like WTF r they talking about?!?! Then I looked again at bust out laughing. Then I started singing the song. The old one not the one that's out nah. SMDH LOL 😂😂😂

Hello Matt. Thanks for this video. Can you please do a boneless lamb roast in the crock pot or instant pot?
You cooked everything- then talkin bout - this is surprisingly good- WTH
Edit: Lol
The crockpot method.. I was surprised it did so well compared to the oven.. not that hard to understand
No need to be upset it was a joke “ guess I forgot to put the Lol at the end” - it’s just funny that u said it like that- no beef LOL
Looks as yummy as you!!!!!
How long and what temp for oven
Instead of red wine, can you use red wine vinegar? It's too cold to go to the store! 😂😂😂
Why didn't you cut the potatoes? They need extra salt. So cutting them helps.
when you sear the meat after seasoning it, aren't you just burning the seasoning and not actually searing the meat???
I've always used the crockpot as I work long hours and you can't go wrong with it....until you come home and find your kids ate everything in it and left you the fat....😑
I know the feeling except it's my husband 😂
😭
Dutch oven only 3 hours
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Worst word in the word sauce 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Has me dyinggg

When to add potatoes to crackpot though?
Oven bake for me just that slow criso
I think I know what I'm making for dinner now 😋
I want some as well.
Mr. MIH: “The Kind you cook with, not the kind that cooks you” 😐
Me: *seen* 😗💨… 👀😭
Looks wonderful . I like to make a roux with butter and flour and add my beef broth from the roast to make an amazing gravy. 🌺🌺🌺
Hello, beautiful, how are you doing today?
Looks great.... I use the oven method as well.... "Old School"!

Tried it the last time and I won’t use anything else! TENDER 👊🏾🙌🏾
I've never seen anybody put the whole garlic bulb in, unpeeled!
leave the bloopers in, it's more natural!
4:39 😂😂 almost dropped the other herbs when I heard this

I'm old and so I gotta agree with you. Traditional method, if it ain't broken ... intapot gimmick gadget ,not for me.
@Mr.Make it happen what was the cream added to to gravy?
Equal parts cornstarch and and cold water slurry. You can use it to thicken any sauce.
Great video. My roast is going in the crock pot. Love the bloopers. 😂 We need more of that.
They could have a pot roast channel and I would watch 24/7!

Can you please explain what you used for your slurry. Corn starch and water? If so, what’s the ratio or Corn starch to water. Also, what material is your Dutch oven made of? Is it cast iron? Thank you!
Usually cornstarch and water, equal parts of each. Just make sure and use cold water or you'll have a mess.
I do the crockpot myself..And, I understand the oven but it just takes the juice out of the roast beef.
Hey Mr Make it Happen!! I also prefer the chunk roast as well. All of them look delicious 😋 but nothing beats the slow cooked in the oven or crockpot method.. I cook the roast mainly in the oven.. Enjoy!! 😁🐞

I always make mine in a crock pot. It's so much easier. The flavor is fantastic! And very tender. My husband and my son are my biggest critics. They love it.
You are the best cook ever ❤😃Thank you 🌹
What are you pouring into gravy to thicken it up. You never said
Wait, I'm confused. If you use the oven method, all you need to do is sear and then put everything in the dutch oven?
What's in the slurry mix??
Avocado oil also doesn’t flavor the food excessively like some oils do I use pretty much exclusively sear with
Hello, beautiful, how are you doing today?
