It was only Mary who didn't say goodbye but rather, see you later - she believed in the after life as a Christian. I admire her faith knowing that physical death is not the end.
George's final words
I think she meant that she'll catch up with him the day she dies as well
When missy cried from her moms speech
@@depression_plusplus6120 George Said see you all later as final words to his family
@@yunusgokcen174still the faith aspect of belief works here too. Even if he didn’t say see you later, she would have anyway.
mary's speech actually broke me bro.. imagine having your high school sweetheart, your husband, and your friend get stolen from you all at the same time. this actor is amazing
@@Tn-qr1kbhe didn't cheat though...Sheldon mistook Mary for someone else
@@Tn-qr1kbhe never even cheats what are u on about 💀
@@Tn-qr1kbyou havent watched young sheldon. They were role playing. Mary was wearing a blond wig. We dont know if sheldon knows this, but it was his mom all along.
@@Tn-qr1kb I think you should watch young Sheldon
@@Tn-qr1kb they retconned the fact that he cheats, so he never cheats
Georgie was the only one who held it together 🥲
True
The oldest usually has to... My dad died right at the start of COVID and I remember I had to be exactly like that
In my opinion Sheldon and Georgie
@@bigd9190i
And Sheldon
This is hands down the best acting (Mary) has done throughout the whole show.
I literally feels her pain 😭
That actress is superb talented. I hope she gets recognized by the Emmys, also Montana Jordan and Annie Potts.
I was crying so bad
@@patrickstarr8907agree
I'm a widow and the way she cried was truly authentic. "Mary" was crying from deep down in her soul.
her unstoppable trying not to cry crying made me start to cry😭😭😭
“I’m mad at myself for not trying harder when he was here” breaks my heart every time
"This wasn't supposed to happen" got to me.
😭
@@aboundingvampirekiller2048Zoey Perry knocked it out of the park here. She gave her mom a run for her money!
The flashback of george and missy got me balling my eyes out
I know right, if I watch it over and over I’d still cry millions of times
Imagine crying to this shit
@@rahandbond5321 yea cause missy was so little and the time she spent in their little father-daughter date, i cant
@@PrinceHarryIsGay bro, missy was so young and the father-daughter date, so wholesome

Georgies goodbye hit hard he took the weight of have a wife and kid so early and now supporting his mom and sister. Trying to be the best he can be to not let it fall apart is rough
And he did it admirably
Georgie is the real definition of a Made Man.
Never gonna break under pressure
Always compose
Fun fact, if you pause at 3:24 and zoom in towards the back, the actor that plays George is sitting in the back wearing a white wig, a dress, and glasses. Just found that out 😂
What the…
Me too. Lance dressed in disguise 😂
Am I blind I can’t see 😂
Like I’m playing where’s wally
I saw post that showed the actor for missy showing it
Michael de sante moment
When Georgie says he’s got it covered. He’s ready to be the man of the house. Gosh that broke me such a big responsibility for him but he has to do it.
He deserved becoming a millionaire❤
To bad that sitcom seems to be fucking that up
"You really didnt want to take that family picture, did you?" Thats actually so sad
yeah that was probably meant to be light and funny but it hits deep
Yeah it was so sad😢
This shows that while your parents are still there, enjoy and Cherish
those moments, and when they're gone, you won't regret anything.
Yes do cherish them. If you have good parents take care of them, love them. I lost both mine way too soon.
Y’all see he’s attending his own funeral. He’s the lady in the back with glasses
3:24
Where in the back
The one on the right, white hair?
@@superjumpbros64 To the right, white wig and glasses and red and gold dress, towards the middle in the back.
WAIT GEORGE IS ALIVE!?
This was some of Zoe perry's best acting on the show.
I agree! It really showed us how much Mary was grieving and it was perfect. ❤
That's what i thought
So true
I agree-and that says a lot, because her performance throughout the series was expert level.
she deserves an award for this for surw
Like mary said, this was not supposed to happen :((( i bawled my eyes out
I know, I'm at work, watching on a break and had to go to basement to cry
Ugh same here, it's the same thing I said at my dad's funeral.
I haven’t watched this season yet, but this clip made me cry. And I never cry when watching TV. Maybe with Mufasa’s death, but other than that…
yep
Same and when missy started crying too
Now the "good bye son" hits harder
I'm almost 70. Seems like I should be 40. I buried most of my family. This scene was brillantly acted. I have been there too many times.
Life is very long 😞
I'm 27 and I'm terrified at the idea of death. Tell me please, do we get better with age on dealing with it?
@@It14f-37 same age, same fear
@@It14f-37I’m very scared as well
I’m sometimes afraid of the idea of death and I’m very much scared of losing a family member or friend to tragedy. I have a history of depression and if I lost someone I cared about tomorrow I would never be the same
Marry tried so hard to stay strong 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Well Mary was an awful parent when he was still alive! But George still loved her despite all that!
@@awmusichistory how is that relevant in this scene or discussion at all?? this is about george's passing...other things shouldn't be talked about...
@@samurai_ionianwhat discussion? its a series bro
“i’m mad at myself for not trying harder while he was here.”
IM SCREAMING.
Fun fact: if u stop at 3:25 . At the right side all in the back at the middle. the actor is actually attending his own funeral (blond wig)
I just found out about that 😂😂
He really didnt want to be in the family photo
3:23 if you want to cheer up, look at the back of the crowd. Lance Barber (George Sr.) dressed up as “Georgina”
Grief affects everyone differently, Sheldon dealt with it the best way he could for himself
the buildup of george… i think thats what made us all cry. him being such a huge part of the show made this all different. this show wasn’t really about sheldon; but more so his family. thats why it’s so unique.
Can't let gang know I she'd a tear to this
Nah if you don’t shed a tear to this, you’re not in the gang.
cant let gang know i cried a river to this
can’t let gang know i even looked this shit up
Can't led gang know i cried oceans to this
can’t let gang know I cried literal tsunamis to this that later devastated my city.
I can't get over how beautiful the acting was throughout all the cast, but Mary especially. She seems calm and collected up until she's forced to say her final words about her husband, when she's finally hit with her anger and grief and overwhelming amounts of pain.
The God she values so highly taking him from her, after their lives were finally coming together and everything was about to be perfect, she was utterly betrayed by Him
I may never have been in a position like Mary's but her heartbreak and agony felt so real and I couldn't help but cry along with her as she sobbed into her mother's arms
Well, most of the bad moments of the relationship was her fault.
@@dennisardakis5857 some sure. They had their ups and downs and he got her pregnant at a young age, but they really pulled it together and raised a very good family. Even Connie started to respect him. I guess maybe a lot of the bad parts were her fault but that doesn't really matter now that he's gone
@@aarkansinghal6633 It was a bit too late. Mary should've done that sooner.
Man I didn't watch a single episode of this show, and even I cried watching this scene.
I’m not emotional person but when Mary said “this wasn’t supposed to happen” I felt something.
This is the only thing in a movie or show that makes me cry especially Missy😭😭😭😭😭😭
Im really sad for Missy. George not only took her to that restaurant but also taught her baseball, how to drive, was worried sick for her when she started her rebellious phase, was there for her when she got her period and the tornado scene breaks my heart...they always had a special bond
Poor Mary. Her oldest son got married very quickly, her youngest son went to college very quickly, her daughter grew up very quickly. Her husband passed away very quickly.
I won’t let you down Dad it hits different. I’m literally crying right now.
"I'm mad at myself for not trying harder while he was here"
Oh man that cut me deep 😭😭😭😭😭
It was truly so sweet of Dr Sturgis and Dr Linkletter to show up and be there for sheldon ........ true teachers indeed...........Also Meemaw calling George Sr her son and giving him the respect he deserved❤❤❤
Sheldon is the most depressing of all. He doesn’t know what to do, or say, he’s lost.
Not really, everyone expresses differently Missy was most "depressed" Sheldon was more concerned, confused but Missy was Mad and she cried a lot unlike Sheldon
@@arislays_13 to me, still easily the most sad
4:55 If he is on the spectrum, they don't grasp the concept of empathy like we would
I kept it together until Mary started breaking down. When my dad passed away, my initial reaction was like Sheldon's. Just in utter shock. Don't know how to react and just wanted the day to go by normally. People kept asking me how I'm doing and I just wanna avoid everything and just do what I was supposed to do for the day. When I saw him in that casket. I had a similar reaction with Mary here where I tried to speak but kept on stuttering coz the tears finally flowed. That was some realistic depiction of grieving there. Hits me right home. Can't help but cry again.
Right some are picking at him like why doesn't Sheldon cry or even act sd he is in shock his dddy the man he probably thought to be invincible died
When Missy is crying you know it’s important
"I'm so mad at him. I'm mad at God, I'm mad at myself for not trying harder while he was here. This wasn't supposed to happen" 😭💔
This scene never failed to make me cry… Mary’s feeling was so real and I’m so touched with her words 😢😢😢
“ see you later “ THAT HITS HARD BROO
If Mrs. Wolowitz's death nearly a decade ago in 2015 was a gut punch, George Cooper Sr.'s is basically ripping your heart out and stomping it. Missy's flashback of George and her daddy-daughter date at Red Lobster, and Mary's crying during her speech just nailed the emotion of this scene. (Raegan Revord, Zoe Perry, you two KILLED IT!)
I could Understand Georgie’s frustration and anger Towards Sheldon like he had to Grow up and Support both his family and Mandy the baby while Sheldon is away in College without knowing what’s going on in the house
The way the actor who plays Mary cried was so real. That is a proper I can’t breathe grief cry.
She cried like that was her real husband
The acting in this scene is just incredible 😭😓 made me cry especially the scene with Missy
George Cooper was the definition of a “Man of the house”. He is tied as my favourite sit-com dad along with Paul from 8 Simple Rules.
george reminded me so much of my dad, this episode really hit me hard. i will always appreciate him
This may come out as a little personal but, I lost my mom when I was 11 years old she got really sick. I'm 14 now and doing better, but I still really miss her.
Don’t worry it will all be ok ..
Thank you, that helps alot, it really does.
The fact that george said see yall later and mary telling george see you later hits home
This is a very sad and heartbreaking scene. I would say not everyone can take this is.😢😢. May George rest in heaven.
George ,Even though he was not dead, he will still be missed 😔
0:23 dunno if this was intentional on the actor Montana Jordans part but right after the dad cries, George looks away immediately!like when you see someone crying, you can’t help but look away to prevent yourself from crying 😢
3:23 blud is at his own funeral 💀
Where?
@@RILEYFORREAL he's at the far back with a granny/blonde wig on just search it and you will see how he looks.
LMFAO I SAW THIS
He did have his dads back. shelly went on to win the big science price. Georgie took care of his family and built an empire. Losers can become winners without a college education.
Or Georgie's case, high school education.
@@Unversed333 he was too smart to waste 60 to 200k on that sht. He knew tires.
The "see you later" broke the thread I was clinging onto so hard...
The most traumatic and most painful experience for anyone or even everyone is when a close one will or has passed away. And what makes it the most painful experience is not showing enough love, or not talking to them during their last unexpected moments. Their last words or moments will always be remember. no matter what happens, they are still with us and will always want us to continue with our life. And for my beliefs, the most rewarding certificate of all is making your loved ones proud and knwoing that they are happy and loved. Thank you.
3:24 i see you at the back “Georgina” 😂😭
LMAO
Seeing how Sheldon reacted to his father's death hits me somewhere deep down inside me. When my great-grandmother died I didn't react. I couldn't cry, I couldn't speak. I was sitting in silence as I didn't care, while my family was devastated. It took me weeks to feel something about it.
IM NOT CRYING YOU ARE 😭
Who else cried during this
Me 😢
I usually don't cry over shows and movies but I couldn't hold back my tears on this one
Thank you Coopers for all of the entertainment you have bestowed.
The fact that I’ve known George than my friends at school. It’s so sad. Like I lost a real friend
Right!?
Who else needed to cry so they looked for this
I’m actually crying when Marry began to brake down I felt that
Losing a loved one wounds your soul being repair. The pain will haunt you til the day you die. I know this because I lost my father 3 years ago. There isn’t a single day that goes by where I wish I could speak to, hug, and laugh with my father, and hear all the crazy stories he would tell me about his life. But in the time I’ve spent grieving his death to this day, I’ve realized that my grief is simply the reminder of how much I truly loved him. To grieve deeply, is to have loved fully.
Time won’t heal the wounds, but time does help you learn how to live with them and find a way to see them as a reminder of how great the love you shared with the person you lost truly was and still is.
Last tv show I teared up, was the final episode of the Wonder Years back in 1993. The 31 year streak is over. This episode did it to me.
The part where Georgie told Jim “He felt like y’all were long lost friends” got me in tears too.
I’m crying at 1Am by watching this sad clip. I didn’t expect this as much earlier. In last episode George reminded me my dad by hiding Missy when in the Tonado. My dad also past away when I was young. So I felt this deeply. I think this is the time for stopping watching this.🥺
This hit hard, I was around missy’s age when I lost my mom it’s been 22 years and I still grief every single day, I love you mom! 🙏🏼
I’ve been to a few funerals, and I can say that they were exactly like that. I love how raw and honest and real this funeral is, and not exaggerated or dampened at all
This touched my heart I’m crying while watching this right now 😢
3:24 if you look in the seats on the right the actor who plays George is dressed as an old woman. I think it’s the 7th row
When missy cries I held it together but when Mary did I lost myself 💔❤️🩹
This episode kept me in tears
Bro im crying just watching the scene even Georgie is barely keeping it together😭😭😭
Rest in peace George who agrees he should’ve never died 😢
This made me cry my heart out😭😭😭
We knew he was dead in tbbt which means we knew George was gonna pass in young Sheldon 7 years ain’t enough
I’m not crying, I’m just cosplaying a waterfall 😭
We had seven years and the big bang theory and we still werent prepared for this 😢😢
I miss their family reunion its definitly sweet that they show love to each other 😊❤😊❤😊❤❤❤😊😢😢😢😢
This is 45th time im
watching and im still crying😢😢
Omg same...I recorded the episode and no matter how many time I watch it it still bring me to tears!!!
I cried when I saw the flashbacks with missy and I can’t 😭😭😭
‘Don’t worry I’ve got everything under control………’. Oh Georgie, you were so misunderstood😢😢😢😢😢😢
I’m on series two why am I watching this
I taught sheldon science
Oh I'm sorry
Thank you
😂😂😂
Sheldon’s father was my favourite in the whole series and watching him die is just so heart wrenching 😭
I know. Me too on both bits.
The start of Georgie’s speech just got me laughing
When Mary said - “See you later..” I wanted to cry..
You really didn’t want to take that family portrait 💀
Honestly say what you want, George was one of the best characters.
This is the closest any show/movie has got me to crying, and I'm not a crier.
3:23 LMAO 😂
What the George actor that’s disguised
I went silent when my grandmother passed on March 31 2024. I understand Sheldon's pain. My grandma whenever young Sheldon was on or big bang theory, she said, You're A lot like Sheldon.
My god, that brought back memories of my brothers funerals and my mom being so angry and grief stricken. Wow I am literally balling my eyes out typing this😭
Meemaw out of everyone understood what Mary was going through
This has been so hard to watch watch. . Its bringing back memories of my mom's funeral 3 years ago. But it still feels so raw and fresh i miss her so much 🦋
Mary was a real hateable character this whole series, but this scene was really to watch man it's impossible not to be sad for her
george being at his own funeral disguised 😭🤚🏼
Broooo every time I watch this I cry even more cuz I remember losing my grandma
One of my favorite hymns. Abide with me. Absolutely fitting.
Thanks for saying this I've been looking for it. Just one question do you know if the version played here is preexisting or is it made specifically for the show
@@homeb0ys7515 I would say it was probably a recording pulled from somewhere. It sounds familiar but I couldn’t tell you specifically. My Favorite version was recorded on the Midmer Losh organ in 1998.
