    I started my store a month ago. While I have physical products for sale, my digital products are what’s selling. So I opened a separate store to sell completely digital products. Leveraging all AI tools. I love it. It’s been a great learning experience!

      that's awesome!! you will crush it ... key to creating a great biz is having a long term mindset.. so many people could've created great things if they didn't quit after trying for a short period of time. My first time i tried to launch my business failed but then i was able to turn it into a six figure per year income for myself in the first year... let's build that dream

    You should make a video Alek about the changes in Etsy and how theyre affecting your business. You're one of the only businesses on youtube that I trust.

    I would like to see a video from you where you would address practical issues such like sales tax and other federal taxes and also, what is the real cost of selling x expected profit. It would be great if you could just pick a platform such as Etsy and put in perspective the number of sellers and the concentration of sales among the number of sellers. Thank you for your content.

      I was honestly really surprised to see certain products take off so fast. I am a graphic designer for work and had some travel posters I created, so I made a store for travel prints of all kinds (I know pretty saturated). I created material for the top 10 national parks to start and one poster really took off and was able to get a lot of early orders and reviews from just one. I also leveraged ai for new designs and was able to tweak them to my liking and correct texts and such. But since my store was travel prints of all types I ventured into clothing, totes, mugs, really anything I can put popular designs on.@@ShaunSurgener

    Hey Alek, love your videos! Just curious, what are your thoughts on selling customisable products on Etsy? Eg. Where a buyer can add their name or year born, etc. Does it help boost sales? If so, are tools to help you automate the customisation process once you receive a sale?

    • @ShaunSurgener
      @ShaunSurgener 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      there are different printable companies that you can probably have do the printing / customization for.... in terms of it would add value i think the big thing would be just testing the market and different offers... OR you could bake it into the cost and have it as a bonus option that's free ... OR you could offer it for free for a value add that provides more enticement and then hopefully lead them to another product that has higher margin if you have it setup like that

    If I'm selling multiple different types of items (Shirts, mugs, tumblers, 3d prints, digital images) is it recommended to open a different shop for each category or is it okay to keep it all under one account? I'm still super small. Thanks in advance.

    Hey Alek, I've been watching a lot of your videos just recently, and I am wanting your advice. If I create good designs, would it be better to have multiple companies/stores on etsy selling one product each (ie. mugs, shirts, bags, etc.) all sharing the good designs between each store? Or should I have one store and have multiple products with the good designs? So far, from your content, I am seeing that I should have multiple stores specializing in one type of product, but is it fine to share designs between the stores I am running? So I can have the same design on my mugs from my mug store, and the same design on my shirts from my shirt store?

    • @mr_endatah
      @mr_endatah 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could have one store that have all this product in them. For example if u are selling a wild flower design on mugs, you could create that same design on cups and other available products u have. with this u sell multiple products but have similar designs on them
      Cheers✌️

    Hey dude, u r wrong about Etsy. You DO have to pay upfront from an out sourced Printer. It takes a few days for Etsy to pay you. In the meantime , product wont get made until the printers gets paid, which is fone by taking money from the seller. Things can go wrong, and often do at Etsy. There's been times where I DID NOT want more sales because I was low on money and it would have caused NSF at my bank.

    While I realize this isn't my business, I'd be curious to know what percentage of your income is from your TH-cam videos and affiliate marketing vs. your digital sales.

    • @flickwtchr
      @flickwtchr 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very likely he doesn't really do Etsy that much but makes tons of money on affiliate tool subscription trials turning into paid subscriptions. In the description he has a link to his website with all of the affiliate links there. That's the game being played by most POD, or digital download demand gurus. I really don't have a problem with that, but the problem I have is the hype of these monthly income figures that are pushed in advertising their videos. It's not even close to being honest.

    Etsy is not paying sellers anymore (by holding onto thousands of dollars in "reserve"). Sellers who used to profit from selling on Etsy are now unable to pay their rent & unable to continue fulfilling orders on Etsy.

  • @mckcustomvinyldesignllc3645
    @mckcustomvinyldesignllc3645 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    There's been 9 videos since your last one regarding the new shop(s). After 13 videos, my guess is the second shop is a bust since there have been no updates. If it's a bust, just make a video saying so and what possibly went wrong, and how well (or not) your first shop is doing. It's not exactly fair to keep putting out ideas and tutorials on "making money on Etsy", and have failed in your second (or third if you were still having issues with the second) shop...

    still no more on progress on your store? Given up on showing people how easy it is to actually do? You speak a lot about money yet your step by step videos you don't post. Why? Is it just easier to make these 'make blah a day' videos than show how it's actually possible as you keep telling people.
