It's cool to see the HD 7770 still being that strong in some modern gaming. I unfortunately had the HD7750 back then (that i've got for dirt-cheap at my local electronics store, because it was an display model, that lacked the original card box and accessories), it was my very first own DX11 card, that i owned. It still got me a decent time playing some video games in 1080p with medium/mixed settings with mostly playable framerates (sometimes i had to drop the resolution, to get to my personal playable sweetspot of 45 - 60 fps). I've even played GTA V for a couple of weeks with the HD 7750 in 1080p with more than playable framerates. That was, until i've got my hands on a Radeon RX 480 4GB, that changed a lot for me, because i could now play most games with high settings in 1080p native, but until then, the HD7750 served me well with lots of fun times of playing video games. It still serves its purpose as an internet & multimedia card in my mothers pc, that i build out of parts i had left from previous upgrades in combination with some parts i've bought (like the mainboard, in which i've slapped my good old ryzen 5 1600 and a brand new power-supply). It's a very robust, nice card, that does its job since over 10 years. and it still works!
That's quite the journey with your HD 7750! It's impressive how it held its own for so long, even allowing you to play like GTA V at playable FPS considering the Vram. RX 480 must have felt like a significant leap. It's great to hear that your HD 7750 still has a purpose in your mother's PC, serving dutifully for over a decade. Here's to many more years of faithful service from your trusty graphics card!
liking your reviews on these cherished classic GPU's. I actually own a two gig version of the HD 7770. Thanks DanielC for the review!

Nice card, I chased a 2gb version but the prices were always too high. I ended up buying a R6850 cyclone just because it looked nice !
The MSI R6850 Cyclone definitely wasn't a bad choice. I have a GTX 460 with the same cooler and i love it.
This series of ATI/AMD is when they started to become power hungry. People who bought 2GB of GTX 750 won..
true. still on my list to get this card with 2gb of Vram.
Indeed.
I have 2 of these HD 7770 1GB that I still haven't put in my retro PC hahaha. Need to get around to doing that. I bought mine for about $35 AUD each (it's been a while since I've purchased though).
do they have the crossfire slot? some do have it.
@@DanielCardei yeah they do I think. Some motherboards allow crossfire without the bridge too from mem.
I have the 2GB Variant =)) the OG one with the AMD cooler
😑
Got it really cheap.
Funny side-note.
It was sold as "not for gaming"!!!!
many who don`t know will say the same.
Grand Theft Auto IV
done. i install it.
