While I love Rita's renovation of her home, I truly love her emotional transparency and willingness to be vulnerable in it. It's surprising that difficult changes often create beauty...❤ Kudos, Rita.🎉
Finally….someone who has a zebra sofa…I want a leapord one…my friends said that was tacky…they aren’t in my life anymore….I got the leapord rugs and red sofas…..your home is FANTASTIC…..how are you and your daughter doing??? Believe me…the second marriage is much better…..hugs carolyn from Columbus Georgia
I unexpectedly got divorced at 50 and I adore this video, your wonderful new flat and your attitude and transparency. You and your mum are, not only marvellous interior designers, but also excellent leaders for women. A big THANK YOU ❤ from Spain.
Any house or room that Rita Konig has designed is something I want to see. Design genius meets real life practicality and all with a sense of humour. I love it!
Rita Konig is my absolute favorite designer! I love her style so much. What a delight it is to have this home tour of her new home. I get so much inspiration from her❤ Thank you House and Garden
Awe Rita, thank you for allowing us in your delightful home! I love the commentary too. You've got to have something a bit ugly , a room can get too pleased with itself. Finding that balance and rhythm of daily life as it's reflected in our spaces is refreshing. Such a fan. You keep it real but never compromise good quality pieces and common sense.
I am actually not a print or colour person myself but Ms. Konig's mix of the two always knocks me out. She has a fabulous eye for details too. I love all her designs.
The rooms designed by Rita Konigs are, as always, amazing. 💛 She combines colors and fabrics that you would think would be impossible to combine to create exciting and successful interiors. Masterful! 💛
I love residences that look like someone actually lives there as opposed to looking like a showroom. I am not a matchy matchy person, so a collected over time, somewhat eclectic style feels inviting and comfortable. Every room has a story. For me, this is a lovely interior with a very pretty "I want to sit and sip a cup of tea" garden space. Thank you for this.
Having moved to USA from England over 3 decades ago, I yearn for sophisticated combinations of colour and pattern in homes to overcome the formulaic, static sameness of American decor -- Rita is my antidote!! Gosh -- her flair is breathtaking!!
I see you, and I apologize on behalf of America and our blandness (although I find Canadian design much worse in that regards.) I will offer: if you want to see some interesting American design, I recommend the Homeworthy channel
There is something about Rita Konig that draws you in. You want to hang on to every piece of advice she hands us. The way she mixes old and new and the things she's collected makes for a wonderful viewing experience. She seems so fun and joyful and that comes across in her designs. Do I want to copy everything in her apartment, YES! but, then it wouldn't be my space; do I want to pull some ideas from her apartment, absolutely. I love that wallpaper or using the colour burnt toast in my space but differently. Love her videos; LOVED her Create Academy courses. MORE RITA~~~!
Thank you for sharing your life story with us Rita. This certainly is one of the most emotional videos I’ve ever encountered on this channel and from you as well. I felt tears streaming down my face when you talked about the divorce and having to remove the parts of the house that you didn’t want and adding and keeping things that you wanted. Wishing you all the joy and freedom in this chapter of your life as you create new memories in your apartments.
Love your place. My favorites were the dining chairs, the zebra print and those wonderful pink curtains. Very subtle and sophisticated. You are a lovely lady. Thanks!
How beautiful - The house is so personally adapted - The juxtaposition of fabrics, patternrs and colours is daring, exciting, yet very soothing. I love it all ! Congratulations !
I don’t even know where to begin, first of all this is a fantastic space. So many lessons and inspiration. I know I will be poring and analyzing every detail many times. Her home is truly a master class in interior design.
You've outdone yourself, if that's even possible. Highly individual, quirky, authentic and a treat to experience. Not to mention inspirational and bursting with life and joy. Must watch the whole thing again.
How do you bring all the colours, textures, artefacts, lights, and personalities all together so magically that all of a sudden they are alive and vividly playing a harmony ♥ Sending respect and love to you, Rita.
When I turned 30 I thought that I knew what life was about and what I wanted then when I turned 40 I was top of my game physically but boy did I make bad choices. At 50 I felt a sense of calm and didn't care about what life threw at me, I felt I could handle anything but in a quiet determined way. At 60 I have no damn idea how that went as I had long stopped counting. I will be 70 in a couple of years and strangely I am looking forward to that, to ticking that box, not that it means anything in reality. Back to the video what a wonderful home and I love how Rita talks, very strongly quiet.
So many things to love about this video. As an American who didn't grow up with any view towards interiors and comfortable living, I've long admired Rita's tasteful and comfortable approach to gracious living. I also just turned 40 a few days ago and can really relate to her sentiments of barreling towards a "big" age and feeling a sense of dread because of all the awful signals society gives women especially, about aging. The honesty about paying for things for 8 months (so relatable) and knowing that she couldn't do anything until she was divorced are great reminders that we're all human and have limits. Well done (again) to Rita on a lovely space; happy that it's one that really reflects and represents her tastes, life, and needs past, present, and future.
I fell deeply in love with Rita during her 1st interview….. She draws a sense of comfort and sentiment with each description of her rooms. Her love for actual living is immense! Her childs painted rocks made my heart swell with motherly emotion. Much love too you sweet Lady. You inspire a very rich well lived life no matter the budget or age. ❤
I enjoyed reading the article in the magazine this month and it's lovely to see Rita show us her reinvention and the reinvention of her space. I love the idea of two London flats becoming one beautiful, spacious home. Great x
Rita’s home is seriously stunning, i love how she combined the two flats to make such a cozy and unique space, her use of patterns is bold and really gives the place character
love, obsessed, gorgeous. Always love Rita Konig and her incredible eye. Seeing how she adapts her surroundings with what stage of life she's in is inspiring as well.
Wow... so much respect for her as a professional... BUT seeing her own home!!! EVEN BETTER!!! What a lovely lady!!! What a lovely home!!! You go Rita ❤❤❤
I love how the Europeans just mix so many different paint colours, types of fabrics, prints and wallpapers and it all just sort of works out. I cannot imagine doing that and it turning out well, at least not quite to this extent. Its pretty though, very unique. Feels like home. My best to you and Margot dear Rita. Enjoy your new chapter.
This lady has a fantastic eye in her interiors, that invites you in and visually makes you feel at home with her choice of textures, patterns and little explosions of colour. Pure natural talent 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🇬🇧❤️
The intense splashes of saturated colour shouldn't "go" with all those fussy florals and fabrics but she always makes things work that I can't imagine would! A lovely, personal space that has wonderful energy and interest.
Rita is so phenomenal. She is grounded, unpretentious, not a slave to fashion, cozy, fun, friendly, brilliant, a brilliant designer . I could go on, but you get the picture. I have eclectic taste, so I can appreciate minimalism and black paint (in its proper place), but Rita runs rings around the cliche-mongers. I'm talking to you, Peter Marino, with all your high-end retail clients working off the same old tired playbook all over the world.😊❤❤❤
I love this, Home! It’s transportive! The wallpaper in the bar room as per the kitchen marble going up the wall with the shelf is so delightful next to that incredible window. A perfect hand in everything, shape, size, pattern choices. I would just love to come and visit!
I love how Rita said at the end "You need to shove something in that's gonna be a bit rude, but it's getting also your child's painted rock gift in the mix. It's part of your life you can't just chuck everything out.. That's where the magic is in rooms ".
She’s a genius! I love absolutely everything that she touches. She’s impecable, flawless, effortless. I burst out in laughter when she said bad taste… I wish I had her “bad taste”! Also, kudos to H&G team. Their work is remarkable. The shot shoing the reflection on the vanity mirror was stunning and endearing. Made me feel as if I was there, in that luxury bedroom
Love love Rita's home & Kitchen! Agreed, bad taste sounds so much more fun than good taste. I tend to shove things into my spaces that i question if it looks bad. Gotta appreciate the rude 🫦
A beutiful renovation by Rita. I hope she makes many happy memories in her new home. Exquisitly designed and put together. As a viewer I would very much like to know the colours she has used to make her space sing!
While I love Rita's renovation of her home, I truly love her emotional transparency and willingness to be vulnerable in it. It's surprising that difficult changes often create beauty...❤ Kudos, Rita.🎉
It’s true sometimes those tough changes lead to something beautiful
Yes this felt personal and revealing. Rita seems more herself in this interview than I have ever seen before.
@@Star_Light_Power 💯
@@h.ernest5728 I thought so, too! Really grounded and thriving💐
Loving this video...I couldn't understand the brand name of the beautiful wallpaper in the kitchen..it may be french? Can someone name it please
8 months paying for fabric...love her transparency in this video. So English. Beautiful ...the attention to detail is exquisite as always Rita ❤
Yes. Love the realness she exudes; she seems so cool and fun to have a cocktail with. 🙂

Displaying Rita Kronig’s talents to the max. A wonderful, lively space…
Always been a huge fan of Rita, for her common sense and individual sense of style. Her remade flat is gorgeously her, and inventive and homely.
Love how she seamlessly mixes color and pattern - perfection.
Wouldn’t expect anything less stunning from Rita
Her spaces are beautiful and they have a lovely flow. The kitchen is divine and that sofa!!! ❤
More, more, more Rita. She’s timeless, yet fresh, and best of all, she’s the genuine article. Love this piece!
