bro is one of the best ever. Them cig and blunt rubs on the MPC says all you need to know. The man stays working and doesn't care about the gear. Just music.
I like the fact he is hitting notes through the mpd and mpc because sometimes its easier to get that rhythm on the pads than lets say a keyboard or keyboard style controller ...plus its saves money !!
Well to put it as basic as possible, he was talking about extracting small sections of different songs and recording those onto the mpc so he can mash the sounds together in a creative way and make 1 beat.
hell yeah. i got the 2kxl and i recently bought the mv8800 the beginning of january and i can't use that machine at all. i'm gonna hook my mpc back up and get busy again. the 2kxl is all i've known for the last decade or so..
PROPS, that's next level shit with the multiple sample sources, sometimes I'm just far too lazy to look for more then a couple different sample sources but when you got like 6 different sources, and it's a sick beat, you got somethin to be proud of.
On the MPC it's not fully midi it has analog parts like pre-amps and audio ins. You can record a loop in through there. The newer MPC's you can do that or drop them via usb
@grubsta nah dont start off with software just grab an MPC2000xl (thats what he's using) or at least a MPC500 and all the info you need to get started can be found online. have fun.
Many people sleep on the MPC...Well let me tell you it's not what you use to bang your beats it's your ear that's what makes a great producer Marco Polo has a great ear for 90's Hip Hop that I'm a great fan off but with the music changing you have to keep up with hip hop music evolving.
@ThisIsCanaryKid For me its the personal interaction and hands on activity that brings my creativity out. Oh and its fun. In the end though it doesn't matter what you use its what you make.
Known about you for many moons but just got on to your process... Most dope.... The masses are right though bruh bruh,, Get off the smokes and if ya got to get it green RIIGHHHT!!!!
Cha!, the infusion is hypnotic, crate dwellin is an art, & busy intellects spawn the youngest minds shaping a generation, you my friend represent a dying breed of those who beautifully join synergy, a classic backflash forward tailored ready to volcano & sear the masses....Unique & gully, keep lookin at em in your rearview yungn .........you foggin em out & leaving clues - while most learn from textbooks
the bomb squad is the first music production first to use multiple samples to make beats that's way before pete rock for those who don't know bomb squad they did all public enemy music and ice cube first solo album

bro is one of the best ever. Them cig and blunt rubs on the MPC says all you need to know. The man stays working and doesn't care about the gear. Just music.
POLO needs more behind the scenes , this is exactly how I do it as well. And it's reassuring to see someone as dope as he is do it the same.
I would love to see a Producer's battle between Marco Polo vs Timbaland! just thinking out loud!!
I like the fact he is hitting notes through the mpd and mpc because sometimes its easier to get that rhythm on the pads than lets say a keyboard or keyboard style controller ...plus its saves money !!
are those samples or something? I cant comprehend this greatness!

Well to put it as basic as possible, he was talking about extracting small sections of different songs and recording those onto the mpc so he can mash the sounds together in a creative way and make 1 beat.

@ThisIsCanaryKid For me its the personal interaction and hands on activity that brings my creativity out. Oh and its fun. In the end though it doesn't matter what you use its what you make.
