Yeah I was watching a tf2 video by solarlight on how he used gyro aim to play competitive lobbies and I tried it on different games it's amazing.

@@chroma_Prime Watching people ignore on screen messages during a tutorial (For a game they're not familiar with) is very frustrating. You never even looked at the prompt for how to parry. At least the fact you didn't try to do it kind of implied you didn't read it. It's literally the most petty complaint in the world but for someone who gets frustrated watching Let's Players very often (Which is obviously a me problem and not something you should have to cater to.) it just hurts. I know I'm not alone on things like that though and it will cause dipshits like me to click off the video. Just something you might want to consider. I can still enjoy someone's content for not being good at something but I don't want to watch someone be intentionally ignorant of how to do something. I can't unwind and feel frustrated at the same time, ya know?
@@fictionmyth I get so unreasonably angry at that too. Like some lets player goes a majority of the game despite having missed a very important part of the tutorial.

Don’t understand why pc is master race but to me it’s based off of preference, more buttons and controlled flicks? PC , less buttons that aren’t really gonna be misclicked but more controlled, preset aim? Controller.
@@caliber_v I see the PC master race thing as more a deal of a higher roof of possible hardware quality, more customisability and broader availability for both devs and players.
I wasn't really trying to invoke that I was more referencing the fact that shooters like this are "expected" to be played with kb+m, like how Elden Ring and Celeste are "expected" to be played with controllers, different cars for different roads, but I'm not going to tell you you *can't* play Hollow Knight with a keyboard, if that's how you enjoy playing.
If you thought the positive reviews were weird the negative reviews are something else… TLDR a majority of it is just the people asking the devs to and I quote “Add GAY ROBOT SEX”… doesn’t help that you can buy BodyPillows of the characters from UltraKills offical Store
in fairness, name one game that WOULDNT be improved with gay robot sex

Some Ultrakill tips:
You can parry your own shotgun to make the pellets go faster and explode.
You can use the the pump shotgun's overcharge to blast jump, or use your dash's invulnerability frames to detonate it without self-damage.
You can use the slide jump to bunnyhop.
You can quickswitch shotguns to cancel their reload time.
You can shoot the shotgun core eject projectile to detonate it, or hit it with the malicious railgun to effectively turn it into a mini-nuke.
You can parry most projectiles, and a successful parry will give you full health.

and yes parrying shotgun bullets makes them go faster and boom boom
Also coins can pretty much reflect all hitscan weapons like all the revolvers and the normal railgun
Also a certain boss can shoot your coins if you're too late at shooting the coins first

Ultrakill is like if Doom, Hotline Miami and severe hand injuries had a baby.
Considering how this is your first time playing, you're scarily good at this game. I know most of the advanced tech and even I'm not as good as you are. If you pick up shotgun swapping and projectile boosting you'd be unstoppable.

I’m a person who plays too much ultrakill, I will say I want to see your reaction at the end of the limbo layer you’ll *love* 1-4
Also I will say the marksman revolver (the coin one) is your friend and incredibly powerful but it does take time getting used to, I recommend flicking the coin, looking up slightly and immediately shooting, it basically ensure your hitscan shots don’t miss and do max damage👍
I also recommend, given that you dealt with the bosses pretty easily, that you go to the violent difficulty, you will need to play the first part again, but I promise it’s a rewarding experience. Basically you’re too good for the standard difficulty lmao, I did standard at first and got my ass handed to me by Cerberus. You’re doing good!

Congrats. You are the first person( including my myself) I have seen that did not back up into the fan blades on stage 3.
Very enjoyable video dude! :) If you like the game so far I HIGHLY recommend you play the rest of it, the campaign isn't complete yet, but there's still a lot to do (not even talking about all the tech and crazy shit you can do). The only complaint i have is the voice volume was a bit low.

The extent to which people are complaining about the use of a controller is absurd lol
ULTRAKILL is an fps that's particularly playable with a controller (even without auto-aim) since aiming is by far not the most important thing, rather overall situational awareness and choosing your priorities well pretty much define how well you play, there's absolutely no need for flicks and such stuff (and even if there was, you can use gyro, which i personnally don't, but it's an option as well). Even rather advanced tech is more than possible on a controller, though i will agree that the most extreme stuff can only be done on k&m, but most people won't ever get close to such speedrunner-level stuff. For the matter, if you allow me such shilling (it's on my channel), i did a no damage violent P-1 p-rank on a controller, a feat even a lot of k&m players can't claim, and i don't necessarily consider myself a particularly skilled player. Controllers are definitely more than usable in this game, so if you enjoy playing on a controller, keep doing so! Show 'em who's boss!

This game's adrenaline-pumping gameplay reminds me of Brutal DooM (with Maps of Chaos - Overkill and IDKFA soundtrack) and My Friend Pedro.
ultrakill is a game that showed me how much i suck at moving and shooting at the same time, and with each play i make and improve more the better the game feels, it's preparing u for a bloodrush while giving u one hell of a one
I noticed the same thing when I found V2 lol.
Just a small tip you should know: Your punches can deflect projectiles.
Edit: Another note: You can deflect your own shots right as you fire, causing increased damage.
Got 500 hours. Can confirm the wrist destroying ability of this game.

an audio tip i learnt from soundsmith, if you separate the audio recording of your voice and of the game you can independently adjust the volume so we can hear you without being deaf, not certain how you'll have to look it up but yeah
