      Those windmills are huge and sturdy. A single blade has to be carried on an oversize semi and still sticks out a bit. Even so, against tornado-force winds, they get twisted and bent. It's insane how strong tornadoes are.

      They take down power lines for sure, but a power station, like a coal, nuclear, or LNG, I don't think they've been taken offline by a direct hit in recent memory. Those windmills will take months to replace, not a power station. That can come back online pretty quick. They're built to withstand natural occurrences, not windmills.

      @@trevorbryant4360 I didn't say they can't, I said I can't recall a power facility being destroyed. Let's be clear, those windmills were 100% destroyed. Can you cite any coal, nuclear, or LNG facilities 100% destroyed by a tornado in recent memory? An entire solar facility, thousands of panels, was just destroyed by hail in Texas! That's a huge amount of toxic solar panels that have to be buried because they are not recycled. High output per facilities are not destroyed by hail. Yes. If that were an above ground oil pipeline, and a big tornado hit it and busted it open, you’d be seeing and environmental disaster.
      Instead, you’ve got some steel poles and blades that fell to the ground. They will be picked up, and hauled to a metal scrapyard for recycling.
      Clean energy. Yes.

    Hi, May I share the most important news you will ever hear in your life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?

    This is why green energy *WILL NEVER FULLY REPLACE* current energy sources. This windmill farm will be out for months. The infrastructure (aka wiring alone) within that farm will take a few months to repair. Imagine a small town near that farm depends 50% of their energy from there.
    Be interesting to see how long this windmill farm is back up at full strength again.

      Lol, and if a tornado hits a coal power plant, will it suddenly be easier and faster to fix it? =D
      Look at how many windmills are left untouched in the background, so only 0.5-1% of this farm is destroyed.

    • @davestagner
      @davestagner 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Have you ever seen an Iowa wind farm? They’re spaced hundreds of feet apart, and it can go on for miles. A tornado cutting right through the middle of a wind farm probably wouldn’t take out more than a handful of them. You can even see this in the video, around the four minute mark - in a drone shot, a couple of windmills are down, but many more are still up. And wind power has been common in Iowa for 20 years now. If tornadoes were the threat you think they are, they’d know by now.

    • @cwshawk

      Only 4 of over 55 came down, as the other ones are still online. And there is a neighboring Berkshire wind farm with another 55 turbines. Also don’t worry, Warren Buffet can afford to file the insurance claim to replace these.
