Skinner literally saw Sean coming, stopped, and took a step back to get in his way lol.
watching it back is kinda funny
Then he was the damsel in distress.
He stood still, feet planted. It's an interference penalty on Philly even if it wasnt on a goalie.
@@MrMpa31maybe don’t be a dumbass and purposely stand in the way knowing Couturier couldn’t have prevented that even if he didn’t hit skinner
@@MrMpa31 except he wasn't standing still. He moved a foot to his left and got in the way of Couturier while he's skating past him.
Hilarious to see people saying that Farabee won that fight. He got thumped by a 40 year old man
If it was for missed punches Perry won, but usually the one that gets more in wins. Perry should've destroyed him with the experience he has. But the kid hung in and gave a good showing.
Perry got maybe three hits in and ate about twelve or thirteen. So who got thumped here lol
Well don’t worry, when the oilers go to Philly there will be a big boy waiting for your drunk Perry
@@tbd3058 probably the guy who was leaking lmaoooooooo
Thirteen punches and no noticible damage.😂 Real winner of a fight right there@@tbd3058
Skinner pulled a soccer move there. He waited to take the dive.
He actually subtly moved towards Couturier. Watch it again, how he changes direction to move into Couturier's lane. It's borderline interference.
For sure. Good non-call.
sure he did 😂
Mike smith taught him
If a teammate gets his face kicked in because he stood up for Skinner McDavid needs to have a chat with Skinner. He puts his teammates in a bad spot.
That uppercut was awesome from Perry
@@brianshaughnessy4020Why? What’s your problem with Farabee?
He punched air. Would have been nice if he actually connected.
Missed the uppercut. Get better eyes
The uppercuts he missed?
What a flop from Skinner that was shameful
Couturier is dirty
gotta love Perry, and well done Stetcher! Emotion has to be high on these guys, glad they got the W! FINALLY!
Skinner think he's real sneaky doesnt he lol.
He could have sold it a little more, maybe throw off his mask and grab his head to really put on a show!
Stu definitely stepped into that one lol
Stecher is a gamer, I loved that. I bet Tortorella had a bonner watching that, lol
Definitely was skinners fault... but him taking a hit was what led to the win so that's my goat
He literally stood still. He's not obligated to get out of anyone's way. It's a penalty to run over any player without the puck, whether he is a goalie or not
@@MrMpa31 1:00 are you blind?
@@MrMpa31 He changed direction and moved slightly into Couturier's lane, it's super obvious.
@@MrMpa31it should be interference for Skinner stepping back and causing that. Get your eyes checked.
Ya I dont know about that one, I hate seeing goalies get hit but Skinner just stood there waiting for something to happen. If anything they both should of got a penalty.
naa bro just because Skinner was in his way doesn't mean he can't just punt him on the ice.
light picks like skinner's are acceptable... but running into anyone who doesn't have the puck (let alone a goalie) = interference!
I agree with you, Skinner looked like he was ready to draw a penalty, he even made a little move towards Couturier with his left shoulder, so I can understand why Couts was dissapointed with that collision too.
So you can run over any player that is standing on the ice just because?
That would be interference.
Ofcors the smallest guys has the bigger spirit👊🏼👊🏼
I DO like how they both waited until the puck dropped FIRST before, on cue, they each dropped their sticks to duke it out! hahahahaha
Should have been a skinner interference call
For what? Standing his ground? He doesnt need to move out of the way.
@@MrMpa31Sure bout that? First NHL season for you?
This was the turning point in the game. Possibly for the start of Edmonton’s season as well, finally playing with some emotion and not being mentally stuck in the dressing room after game 7. Hopefully they can string a few wins together so they don’t have to tire themselves out for the rest of the season trying to claw back like last year
Also props to Perry and especially Stecher, both guys have been big bright spots in the hell hole that was the start of the season
Skinner intentionally blocking the path on the first one. Deserved to get knocked down
Couturier is dirty
If you lose a fight to Corey Perry, just never fight again
I mean it’s Joel Farabee he’s not fighter usually. Although he fought Marcus Foligno a few years back but idk how that went😭😭
I remember watching stretcher when he played in Penticton bc for the vees
This game tells us you are absolutely fine if you push the goalie's pad or try not to avoid to hit the goalie
Lol it was Skinners fault, and im an oilers fan.
😆
I think Stu just found his calling as an Olympic diver bro damn
Corey men 💪💯
@onders5302
Smashing Bedard's mom really did rejuvenate his career! I give the guy full credit. He realized his career was slipping and that he needed to do something drastic.. The man in one night (at the unfortunate expense of a teammate.. Bedard) got his groove back!
Just the kind of stuff they write movies about. Almost brings a tear to my eyes..
@@DonBrodkaJr bedards mom has it going on
Are we back to being allowed to remove the other players helmet?
Just can’t take off your own helmet
@@andrewcluett3612 Right on, cheers
“The goalie is in a place of high worship. No one shall subject the goaltender to disproportionate harm”
Oh cmon funny hearing fans talking how brave Edmonton is. Fighting some of the smallest guys on the Flyers.
Best duo in the league the oilers and diving
That uppercut is meant to hurt Farabee
I mean come on. Skinner literally moved back away from the crease so he could get run over. The ref wasn't buying that crap.
As Dangle would say. "You're a GOALIE, so TEND THE GOAL!"
Skinner can go anywhere on the ice, doesn't mean he can get hit without the puck. That's interference whether on a goalie or any player.
@MrMpa31 bruh, he faked like he was going back to the front and then initiated the contact. Of course he got ran into when the philly player thought he had a clear path ahead...
@@rapta_gg8059 Skinner did not initiate contact. Yes he moved PRIOR to Philly guy getting there. Skinner had established position on the ice, when contact was made, he was not moving, feet firmly planted. You can not hit a player just for being in the way.
If Skinner was moving when he got hit then i could see it, but he had position prior to contact. It's a penalty on Philly
@@MrMpa31”Did not initiate contact” Just say you’re an idiot oilers fan.
@@MrMpa31if you move a split second into another player’s path the other player isn’t committing interference for running you over it’s your own fault.
I dunno what's funnier, short king Stecher punching upwards at a gigantic man mountain, or that said man mountain WAS SCARED OF HIM lol. To be fair, Stech sure does have one hell of a death glare.
Skinner was asking for it by turning back for no other reason than to get hit. Perry staying classless with the fingers in the eyes at the end.
Hats off to Stetcher .. No hesitation .. Atta boy
Skinner is becoming a clown to mask his deficiency as a goaltender. Now everybody will be talking about how "brave" he is when he is letting weak goals left and right.
Perry Rocks!👍🏒🥅
Clear win by Perry! He is a beast and will lift the cup again in Edmonton...
Skinner should've been penalized for embellishment
😂😂😂
Bad edit. The draw was exciting to watch as Cory Perry told that kid he's going to beat his ass.
Goalie caused that one lol
Yall forgetting that it’s the players job to avoid the tendy if they are in the trapezoid, the goalie can stand there all game if they want, skinner taking that bump sparked 2 fights and won them this game so I fw it
Skinner started going back to the net then moved to his left. If anything it's a penalty on Skinner.
Skinner skated into him you bonehead
Awesome ❤
bro this was a close game 😂
when are they gonna play again?
can someone tell me

@@Hockeynews27 ok thanks
Shameful losing to that joke of man Carly Fairy.
It’s sad to see common players who take a chance to defend their teammates from other players that hurt them intentionally or not, which is why I’m very much in favor of ice enforcers, but unfortunately Bettman and his fans don’t accept
Such a shame that it takes a 39 year old to fight to give oilers incentive to win.
The refs late in this game were absolutely awful! They decided to put away their whistles and ultimately decided the outcome of this game. When are the refs going to be held accountable?
Will there be an inquiry on the NHL after these few games... more than a little fishy.
clearly Skinner's fault 🤣🤦🏾♂️
He stood his ground you clueless person
@@candaceschannel4316 Nonsense. Watch again. Skinner clearly and intentionally stepped into Coutourier's path.
@@candaceschannel4316 ur one to talk
@@CribNotes He moved BEFORE Coutourier was there, then planted his feet and didnt move. You can not run over a player not moving and without the puck just because he is in your way.
@@MrMpa31nope he saw Coutourier and purposely backed up into Coutourier’s path.
The oilers doing their usually bs haha. They managed to finally get a W.
Instead of Perry and Farabee, I would have preferred to see Deslauriers and J. Brown fighting but Bettman prefers the more boring than brawlers
Got to give it to Troy stecher standing up to a guy twice his size.
Good lord Louis debrusk is insufferable, I get it's the oilers feed but that was a complete sell job in Skinner
Stuart deliberately got in the way 😂
Skinner is a loser, purposely ran into the flyers player
Atta boy Stecher!
there's my Perry
Stuart Skinner owes Stetcher dinner for getting him beat up here with that pathetic flop...what a geek
Good job Corey
Tonight leafs /Kings Reaves Jeannot rematch
Get in your crease or your fair game. Should be able to throw a full hit.
@1:01 LOL The biased commentary during Oilers games always cracks me up. The slow-mo replay clearly shows Skinner blocking any way for Couturier to get through without making contact and he gets run over for it, yet the commentator is stumbling over his words, trying so hard to spin it in favour of the Oilers. "I know he's got a little pick there" 😂
There is no obligation to give the other player a way through and you can not run a player over just because your path is blocked. Skinner had the ice first, he doesnt have to move and you cant hit a player without the puck
@MrMpa31 you don't have to defend this play anymore man, it's purposeless.
But you are wrong 😉
@@rapta_gg8059 nope
@@MrMpa31I noticed you're suggesting that Couturier interfered with Skinner in other comments. However, by the definition of interference, "interference is defined as when a player uses their body (“pick” or “block”) to impede the progress of an opponent (non-puck carrier) with no effort to play the puck." In this case, it would actually be Skinner who could be guilty of interference since he was heading back to his net and then altered his course, moving backwards into the path of the approaching player. Your "feet planted" take on this situation is just as biased and Homer as the commentary on the play, lol!
@@dansaklofskerealestate Imagine how bad the game would be if the rules were interpreted the way MrMpa31 thinks they are. It would be all set pieces with basketball style picks and flops.
Hi Makwa
Unheralded
That a boys
Skinner is lucky he didn't get the interference call. But the fight had to happen per the unwritten rules. Stech showed heart and turned the game around.. deserved to be awarded the plunger 🪠 after the game.
Farabee doesn’t fight.
Yeah that was on purpose from skinner
100% skinners fault, and i love the oilers.
Standing still. Whether blocking the way through or not, you can not simply run over another player for being in your way. Philly initiated the contact. 100% a Philly penalty
Father got smoked by a 40 year old lol
Lol skinner caused all that. Kelly Rudy's a clown
Nice flop Skinner you sieve
Dumb all around, the goalie deserved a penalty and Perry should have been ejected but NHL is so stupid nothing ever happens like it should, stupid sportmanship for all.
Good on stecher for stepping up for a dumb goalie
Hahaha.
Skinner should have got 2 minutes for embellishment.
😂😂😂
Skinner could have moved out of the way.
Same with Couturier, can't just ram into the goalie
Надо Нью-Йорк Айлендерс пригласить, они любят подраться
dive
Skinner flopping again
Just what the oilers needed!
When the refs won't do their job, the players will take care of it
Idiot Oilers fan. Sorry McDonalds can’t get his McPowerplay points… you must be a little upset
Perry got clocked
Did we watch the same fight? Perry strung him out lol
Farabee went down like a sack of potatoes
Lmao insane cope
I don’t think there was a clear winner but correct me if I’m wrong
@@qwynnblackburde3509 I feel like Perry got a couple more solid punches in, but it was fairly even
first punches on Couturier...hes like...yeah ok...sure. Ok my turn.
