    My TH400 that I rebuilt myself is working great now! Really appreciate your content and how you describe so many different things about these transmissions. Your tips and videos were an inspiration for me to tackle the rebuild on my own. Keep up the great work!

    Shawn thank you for all your effort in these vids. You convinced me to build a th400 for my daughters sn95 mustang. Installed my JW Bell yesterday. And now looking to diy wash and paint prep. All my internals are on order per the 800-1000 build video. Lucky all my internals looked great. Thank you ! I'll shoot ya a few pictures on FB of her high school daily and future drag week car !

      I pressure washed mine thoroughly after scraping the large chunks off. I used non-fuming Easy-Off oven cleaner, just don't let it sit on aluminum too long. Cleaned up like a champ!

    For those extra bolt bosses on the side of that CC transmission. Precision transmission had a video where there was a neutral safety switch bolted there.

    Great informational video as always, im interested in what classifies a unrepairable case e.a like having to weld valve body passages, band apply piston area, cracked bellhousing, and possibly where the thrust washer is at the output shaft case area on an 4L80e

      I usually pass on any case I think might haunt me with problems. It might be OK but if I am questioning it it becomes a mock up case for chassis building.

      I am actually looking for a few spares myself.
      You can buy them from ATI through Summit Racing. They have all the parking linkage pieces.

    Hey Shawn, love your vids, very informative. Have you ever heard of coupling 2 th400 trans together? My buddy invented the coupler. Would like to talk to you somehow and send you pics if you were interested in seeing this.

    I enjoy these videos , very informative . I have a 73 nova , with a 350 turbo , wondering if anyone can help me . Shifts very hard from park to reverse. Checked trans. mounts , universals , all seems ok . Any suggestions? Will out of adjustment kickdown cable cause this, replaced it but may not be adjusted correctly ! Thanks Guys

      Is it hard to move the linkage, or a really firm engagement of reverse?

    • @waynemills8546
      @waynemills8546 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mountainsgarage it's a b&m shifter and it's a little firm to move , but I don't think it's to hard , , but really slams into reverse, jolts the whole car ,

    Just wondering why a light media blasting might not be a better way to clean the exterior of the case?

    • @mountainsgarage
      @mountainsgarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would be. That is what the big transmission shops do.
