I bought 4 of this traps to kill the ground squirrels in my area and I felt to bad because I thought these traps killed them instantly but they do not, they slowly suffocate the poor animal. Some kills I would find 10 yards away so the poor thing was wriggling around until it died. That being said should I just toss these traps in the garbage or can I put it on a higher setting that will kill them instantaneously? cheers
@@tgilldesign well this is the reason people ban them. If i kill something its instant. its disgusting to torture an animal that didnt do anything wrong

@@becomingthecompleteoutdoor7415 Their isn't much to it I am 66 now but when I was a Pro I could set 330 by hand Standing up to my Butt in Water. The 120 are mean little Traps caught 30 lb Coon and Blanket Beaver in them, had to work at getting their head's in them. Buddy of mine got both Thumbs in one, he was Screwed, I helped out of it when I got done Laughing. Cheers
@@becomingthecompleteoutdoor7415 Use leverage to help you set Conibears. Put your left hand on the top Spring, put your heel of your Palm on the lower Ring with your Right. Push the Springs together, when the top Ring gets close enough to grab with the fingers of your right hand, hold them together, and set the Trigger where you want it with your left. Hope this helps! My suggestion would be: buy a comfort dog and find a safe space to pet him.... leave the trapping to the less sensitive.
