I've had a youtube channel about creative photography for a few years. I struggled because I felt like I couldn't do anything that wasn't photography based. Now that I watch your videos, I've been convinced to include other aspects of myself, and even just use photography as an example for something else. I'm currently planning a video about how self portraits are a tool for self discovery. I feel so much more satisfied with what I'm doing ❤ thank you for your content.

An ever evolving challenge to pursue! Turing 65 in 2 days, it amazes me how many friends cannot believe I am not “retiring”! No, I am learning something new, digital creation via YT. Your videos at first didn’t resonate with me, because I was looking to be entertained. I have grown to appreciate the talking head approach of learning something. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, insight and wisdom. Very motivating for me to keep learning, fearing not to embrace a new challenge!

Yeah, this. This video had me experiencing that exact bunch of weirdass feelings I just typed 😅 But seriously, thank you Dan for creating and sharing this content piece. @@joelGisometimes when you’re a creative you can come to the same conclusions with other people. The term synthesizer is used in music since a REALLY LONG time ago. And it’s basically the same thing. The only new thing he did was to apply it to humans. Which is not a very WOW unique idea for their level of understanding of reality. It’s a normal consequence. It happened to me once, I googled my idea and I realized Einstein wrote about it.. I didn’t copy him, or heard that at school. It was just me putting dots together as a creative mind.

The synthesizer concept has actually been around for a while. It dates back to the 20th Century with the Zettelkasten method popularized by Niklas Luhmann, and with quotes from Pablo Picasso like “Good artists copy, great artists steal.” It likely dates back much earlier than that.

Thank you for helping to establish a standardized framework for how to view & understand us “Synthesizers”. I had a similar epiphany maybe two years ago, and when I did, I put some effort into rewriting my LinkedIn bio. What I expressed in a part of it was this:
“I see myself as a wordsmith & synthesizer. Taking all that I have learned, mixing the substance of it all & outputting the unique correlations I perceive. Perhaps a master dilettante of many subjects, the role I play could be pivotal in galvanizing your company towards innovative changes, partnerships, & re-igniting your top performers by providing them with the friendly friction & creative catalyst that draws out of them the epiphanies they needed to exceed previous limitations.”
I always felt outside the box of how I wished to operate as a solo creative entrepreneur. This perspective you shared helped validate & substantiate the kind of role that I aim to fill in the world. Thank you 🙏🏾

I get the ease and algorithm benefits, but for months, I contemplated starting my own TH-cam channel, and probably delayed it by trying to figure out how to 'niche' down to an extremely specific area 🤔.
Your perspective offers a breath of fresh air for new creators like me who value the richness of diversity and the importance of an open, interconnected approach 🌐.
I'm just a few months and videos into my journey of sharing a unique approach that blends spirituality with psychology. It's a synthesis that respects and incorporates a vast array of psychological assessments, spiritual systems, and divination practices, aiming to expand and diversify teachings from various cultures and times 🌍.
Your video shines a light for those of us who believe in the power of integrating a wide range of ideas and disciplines to build a platform 🌈.

I've been following you for a few months and I want to apply what you teach
I'm interested in the programs you provide but I found myself a bit lost, it seem to me like Modern Mastery, Kortex, Digital Economics and 2H Writer are pretty much the same program with a twist but are teaching the same path which is to build an audience online and monetize it.
Since I can't DM you from now on X as suggested at the end of the 2H Writer page,
Which program should I go for, in what order or can you explain to me what is clearly the goal of each one of them ?

    • @SonnyMoonie
      @SonnyMoonie 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Put it all in one channel. Dan Koe has videos on this, about whether to be niche and split up, or be yourself all together. It's easy for people to skip videos on topics they don't want from a channel. It makes a channel creator look more human too. It's much harder and less likely for people to look for multiple channels from one content creator, and bookmark or subscribe to all of them, and check all of them regularly for new content. The concept of a channel as if this is television is a limiting suggestion, because it simply doesn't work that way, that a channel just plays in real time streaming all its content to subscribers when they tune to that one channel.
Imagine if some band or orchestra or whatever sort of music creator you prefer, had a channel with not just all their music, but all the other personal creations and interests of its members they're enthusiastic enough about to make videos on, and all their merch. The amount of attention and revenue they'd pick up that way, compared with music creators of similar popularity in music plays, would be phenomenal. Why not be phenomenal?

Sorry. Contrarian dude here. “Conformity is following someone else footsteps” this seems like a message that is critical of following someone else’s path. That is how I read it. Maybe not. However, following someone else’s steps is how a great deal of amazing work gets done. Spend some time listening and reading about how Kobe Bryant approached the game of basketball. He mimicked his idols. His words. So, following others is not necessarily a bad thing. And yet Dans message here in part seems to say that. 🤔

Yo Dan your videos are eye-openers. But they are too long and finishing them may even take hours because there are a lot to stop and highlight. It would be awesome if you could just made them a bit shorter.

      Magnified Simplicity,
Do not spend too much time trying to grasp each illustration through a perfect lens. Many of the ideologies are accompanied with half-truths, re-imagined in Dan’s chosen disposition. Which is exciting, yet you will lack the foundational definition of numerous concepts. This may end up as a net-positive, as Dan is honest in his elevated guidance to assist others ascend, predominantly through mastered efficiency practices, absent unnecessary set-backs. This is compounded with his own personal motivations. A high-level continuance, built upon consistency of personal and professional applications. This exemplifies a real time, thorough win-win, that presents itself through diligently crafted work. With that, you may also find that your own re-imagining of a concept is better suited to you, as you developed it. Both scenarios will come: first, through Dan’s extrinsic detail; second, an accompanied adoption through intrinsic adaptation, or assimilation. Your win-win, ensured with consistent application.
Give yourself a sense of reprieve in order to maintain motivated focus on the long term goals. This can change over time, while your base motivation acts as your fail-safe.
Remember, he didn’t accomplish his ambitions over night; take high-level action, but understand that personal dedication to consistency is your most valued asset.
Dan does a wonderful job, through proportional audience delivery; therefore, taking one or two concepts from each video & mastering the specific set-point, will result in a continued gain. As he surmises it, “time under attention,” a fantastic play on verbiage analogy.
Again, do not stress yourself out before you have brought upon warranted stress, which will inherently align with becoming welcomed stress, through seeing improvement. The stress we can use as a real tool of production.
Dan takes very simple ideas, puts them into practice, and delivers those constructs to his audience. If he were being honest, I believe he would admit that he enhances his material/scripts with a higher level of surface-verbiage, or language construction, through purposed intention. Simply, a calling card.
He could very easily tone this down, yet he has created his brand through this foundational lens: by establishing his own unique definitions assigned to common material; thus, proceeding to put them into successful practice, he must continue adhering to what garnered his success.
It would be unfair to posit that he complicates simple ideals, as he is proof of the outcome. What is fair, is to understand that everything he is presenting is valuable, real, and feeling a bit overwhelmed is merely gaining an understanding that you have validity of interest. This is the foundation of success, where motivation builds into proper schema. Success is not a derivative of grasping a concept quickly, it is built through a mindset that no concept cannot be grasped with motivation.
Notice, and I’ll end with this, when you begin to understand your strengths, lean into that.
It is better to strengthen your current strengths, by fundamentally understanding where you are weak, and establishing a plan that doesn’t allow energy to be spent in that space.
Energy should never be spent… rather, it should be utilized to enhance your current value into a place of continued ascension.
      Magnified Simplicity, Brandon.
