    Why I’m going with the Suzuki is because of how easy it is to change the exhaust, no modes, no ride by wire. The 07 and 09 are great bikes but not so much to the point of me buying one. Thanks! Good Vid.

    i don't think you would choose the FZ-09 if you test rode it. The GSX-S750 has far better suspension, corners and handles WAY better. The FX-09 in comparison feels like a bouncy castle in the twisties which is very unnerving. Yes it does have slightly less power but its otherwise a better bike in every regard imo. It might not look as cool (which is subjective) but the suzuki engine is also tried and tested and is pretty much bulllet proof. You definitely made the best choice imo.

    @5:56 Off course not because you should know that the GSX-S750 is unrestricted and reaches 230 kph and the MT-09 is restricted to 210 kph.
    @6:06 Torque is not horsepower. :)
    @7:44 If you start from this perspective, The Triumph Street Triple is the better option. It is lighter, more nimble and has the same amount of horses all across the rev range. :)

    • @filoIII
      @filoIII 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Triumph is more expensive and poorer quality w/ few places to service it.

  • @SickPrid3
    @SickPrid3 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    it's heavy because frame and sub-frame are steel. FZ09 has aluminium frames. Engine is slightly lighter because it's triple.

    • @sp3ak
      @sp3ak  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stop making sense you :)
      This is all true. The GSXS is definitely old technology. I sat on an FZ09 at the dealer the other day and it was shocking how much lighter it was. Kinda makes me miss my super light Ninja 250. Until I hit the throttle then I don't care :P

    my dream sportsbike gsx s750, i want a bike below 1000cc middle wieght class that is nimble to drive and i can squeeze all the power out of it anytime i want matching my driving style

  • @robduncan599

    Better bike = not all about HP or torque , how about comfort , service, looks, dealership ,economy etc . all the bikes in this class are going to be way more power than you really need ,i think you got a great bike and whatever bike you get there will always be a “ better ” bike round the corner . I think a fz09 might be a bit quicker off the line & R1 even quicker H2 even quicker and so on , sorry i am starting to ramble now . great video .

    • @sp3ak
      @sp3ak  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey no problem! I love to hear others perspectives. After reading so many reviews but then actually getting on the bike and riding it makes me wonder why it is so greatly overshadowed by the FZ's. But the writers of these magazines have their own perspective which is completely different from someone like me that's upgrading from a beginner bike. Thanks for stopping by and sharing!

      Rob Duncan I kind of wanted a street triple, but where I am they are really expensive and really hard to service. Anyway, I been looking at this bike since many people always described it as the poor man's street triple. They have a few good deals on this bike that I might be able to get if I sell my commuter in time. I like chasing the revs, and always liked the gsxr 750 motor. I know this is retuned, but I hope I really like it if can get one. I am pretty sure that I will and frankly it is such a good deal I couldn't really get any else close except maybe a hold over z800

      Jonathan Bauer - my advice for what it is worth is get the bike you really really want if that means saving up to get the money then save & get the bike you want, then enjoy that bike ! But if you like to change bikes a lot, like all the time then my advice is no use to you , hope that helps . Good luck

    GSX750 is a nice bike, loving mine. I gotta try the FZ09, hopefully this weekend, and also compare to the FZ07 just to see how that feels again. Heck, wonder if they have any cruiser styles to demo lol

  • @ndperson1
    @ndperson1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The jerkiness can be fixed, it is throttle snatch due to fuel injection, and it can be fixed in several ways,such getting it flashed or tuned, but the cheapest way is mechanical. Gizmag talks about trying to fix it in the first gsx-s 1000 review with links I believe

    • @sp3ak
      @sp3ak  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sp3ak I was gonna try to get a new 2018 gsx-s 750, but I came across a super good deal on a hold over, and I am trying to quickly sell mine so I can go back to a big bike. Originally I thought about the fz09, but I actually like chasing the revs. I really have liked supersports, but want something more comfy and more affordable to run and insure. Guess my priorities are different than when I was young. If I miss out on the good deal I found I will try to find some other hold over of a bike like this. Just seems like u get so much better if a deal that way and I have had bad luck with used

    • @sp3ak
      @sp3ak  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jonathan Bauer Cool! The left over bikes are great if you are patient and potentially willing to travel a bit to get it. My deal happened so fast and it was purely based on opportunity. I don't think you'll be sad with this bike at all.

  • @brussell639
    @brussell639 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Suzuki barely survived the economy tanking. That's why so many of their bikes (it actually applies to their whole product line) are just carry overs year after year without investments in new R&D.

    • @sp3ak

    the FZ 09 this, the FZ 09 that...Well maybe the FZ 09 is a bit faster and less weight, but the number one influence on me has always been looks. The Yamaha doesn't even come close to how sexy looking that Suzuki is. Every reviewer has said it's really smooth and handles well, add to that great looks, what else does one need for a great bike?

    • @sp3ak
      @sp3ak  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kelly Mahon I agree, and for me the price was a big influence. Looks are subjective so it's about you enjoying it and being happy with your purchase, and I very much am. Thanks for sharing!

    • @startmeup4622
      @startmeup4622 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, and I'm not hating on Yamaha, it's ok, but I like the Suzuki a lot more. And as you point out, if you can find new left overs, they come at a great price. There is a few dealerships that have a 2015 (new) left in stock. I have enough money so I am thinking about buying one. I was also considering the SV650, have you tried that one out? Thanks for any help.

    • @sp3ak
      @sp3ak  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kelly Mahon I did ride the new SV, it's in my video list from a couple months ago. It's good, easy to ride, torquey. Would be a fun bike. Depending on what you are coming from or riding style you may be wanting for more power

  • @worldhello1234
    @worldhello1234 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    @4:17 It is a budget bloody beginner bike. Complex matters should not be truncated by a simpleton approach to a beginner bike. It makes more sense to consider at least powerband, handling, the mad skillz of the rider and how long he wants to keep the bike.

      sp3ak just ordered mine today cuz I got it for 4999 (minus the fees and all; got a great deal but not exactly 5 grand out the door) and otherwise I can't probably afford a new bike but have had alot of trouble with some used bikes in the past. I always wanted a gsxr 750, but am ready to have a naked bike as it probably does fit my needs better. It is getting shipped to me cuz if I bought it in Minnesota it actually costs me more than having it shipped to my family's place in North Dakota cuz of taxes, so that is kind of crazy. But I am pretty excited for it as I miss having a bigger bike. I probably won't do too much to mine, but I will probably put some lower links on it cuz it is just ever so slightly tall for me, a throttle tamer or whatever it is called possibly, a fender eliminator for sure, and maybe a slip on just cuz it sounds so nice. Oh and frame sliders possibly, but I just want to do that to protect it probably

      +Jonathan Bauer that's awesome! That's basically the same deal my buddy got on his 2016. I'm sure you will enjoy it. You should check out the gsx-s750.com forums as they are very helpful in finding mods and information. One of my other videos is a mod overview if you want to check it out for any inspiration. There isn't a massive aftermarket for these bikes but there is plenty of stuff out there to make it your own. Congrats!

      @seanadams252 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had one for a summer, a 2015 that I took on trade for another bike I was selling. I really did not like it. Suspension is very soft, bike wollows back and forth alot.. I am an experienced rider and I never felt super confident with it leaned over. Its a very nervous bike. You sit too close the bars... Your literally straight up and down with your arms barely stretched forward at all.. and riding a speed is annoying, tiring and uncomfortable. The faster you are going the worse it is... Throttle is twitchy, front wheel comes up easily..
      In this type of bike if you really want a triple pay the extra cash and get a street triple. Im 6'1" 190lbs.
