This video reflects perfectly what mountain biking is all about. Super happy with my current Hightower V2 and it is still my dream bike. However, the new version creates some desire in me to upgrade ;-)
I have a V2 (and a Bronson) and I added 160 fork and Cascade link to the HT V2, It rocked like that, and can't be far off what the new V4 would give you?
Dude! That green colorway looks so nice! I want one!
Right?!
@@santacruzbicycles2841 make a 27.5 29 flip chip for the hightower
@@santacruzbicycles2841 No lol. Yellow is not my thing. Can we get Black on grey or something a little more muted?! Black on Gloss Ocean Blue with the highlights in a softer blue was a stunner. Need more like that please!
Love seeing the syndicate on these launch videos 🤘
Videos like this make me miss riding so much!
Got a V3 and absolutely love it, but that that purple one looks fantastic...
That feeling when you just bought a new bike that was on sale and you kinda thought it was likely about to become the previous generation, but hoped you were wrong. And you weren’t.
Look forward to see what changes were made here before I contemplate giving up my current one I just bought lol.
Exactly the same as Bronson.....heavier, pedals worse, wireless only, bit more travel, fractionally different geo.
Definately not worth the 30-40% saving I hope you made on your bike.
Yeah I did well on the savings about 30%. I also absolutely love the Gloss Ocean Blue.
My complaints about it are far outweighed by what I love.
My 2 complains are:
1.) Dropper is functionally limited to 185mm, for my particular height and size L frame, which feels incredibly short compared to the 210mm on my Trail 429. Gonna buy a new AXS dropper to fix that, I hope.
2.) Extremely limited selection of shocks that fit.
Otherwise I don’t have any complaints and certainly aren’t looking for any lower, slacker or longer. It’s already as far as I’d go that way or I’d have a Megatower.
@@justinfournier1285on the v2 L ht you can fit a oneupv2 210 if you shorten the little cable fitting. its a very, very close fit so not something sc would do from factory. oneup v3 wont fit and not sure about ht3 but i assume its similar enough. all this also depends on your legs length of course :)
@@justinfournier1285 It's the same front triangle as the new Bronson.
@@kangsterizer I originally tried another HT3 with a 2023 Fox transfer 200mm that fit, but then I ordered the Bike Yoke V3 213mm as the 2023 Transfer was out of stock, and I got the post to fit dry, but once the cable was installed there needs to be about 1” of cable between the actuator and the tube the housing exits the frame or I can’t get it to actuate, and that 1” makes the seat too high so I had to go to a 185mm. Expensive mistake.
Nice 😍👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful riding and great bike! Both colours are great but i would prefer the green one.
Someone needs to tell Steve it’s all about the journey not the destination 😂😂😂
Hope they finally made the shock tunnel larger! Only thing keeping it from being the "if you only had one" bike !
The Hightower fits most shocks on the market, including coil or large-volume air shocks.
Steve has a bad case of destination fever mann
When can we start talking about this new Santa Cruz ebike my LBS, an Authorized Dealer, keeps hinting around to me about? Thanks! 👍👍🇺🇸
Now?

Amazing scenery, so much good vibe in 2 mins. Can someone confirm those trails/ area? I'm totally going there next summer!
Chamonix
Where is that trail? looks epic
Les houches / Chamonix I think
Anyone know where exactly this was filmed?
Yah , where is this shot? I wanna goooooooooooooo!
I noticed that it says les Houches on the cable car (at 1:52) - which is in the Chamonix valley.
😋🤔
so sad it's an enduro, the v3 was perfect
Syndicates lost its soul as much as DH has.
Really? The racing has been incredible.
Ok but between Tallboy and Hightower ?
Travel and geo is a bit of the obvious, on-paper differences. But it'll be down to the on-trail attitude differences. If you find yourself occasionally riding longer, steeper, rougher trails, go Hightower. If you're looking for something for lung-busting power hours or all-the-hours long rides where the trails are more varied (up, down, up, down, a bit of rough, smooth, buff, berms), then go Tallboy.
Please a 130/140 tallboy 🙏@@santacruzbicycles2841
Tallboy all day. Put on a 140mm fork and replace rear shock to Float X and you'll be doing 99% of what Hightower and/or Bronson do. I know, I own one and my 170mm enduro bike is collecting dust until I visit a bike park
10 k for a fuking bike who is going to but that ill but a fucking car
