I just bought a Maxx yesterday because buying and upgrading a new hoss was more money. A Used hoss makes sense. I dying to put this kit + Gtr's + Vxl-4s on my wife's hoss. But then she would be too scared to drive it 🤣... Or bring it back in pieces. She drives like "caution, caution, caution, caution... Random FULL SEND!" 🤣
Great build, great channel. You got the juice to have a good sized following. Keep it up.

I just bought a Hoss and definitely going to do this! I haven't even got to drive it since I bought it because it's been raining for 4 days 😢 I'm ordering that kit Friday 👌

Cool thanks for the video! The Hoss was my first RC since the 80s I got it last August it’s been through a lot many battery packs still running stock motor ESC and all the gears. I’ve been through many driveshaft shocks arms tires issues but still the original tires barely hanging on just put on this new extreme duty kit I also bought the GTR shocks with it which is a must and I got the swaybar kit and found out it does not work well with this new heavy duty kit although I did get the front to work.

Actually two of the sledgehammers were replaced via warranty many months ago.

Pretty good vid with some nice info. You are right. These parts should have been coming standard on this truck. I cannot believe how flexible the stock arms are, and how small the carrier hubs are.
One note, you need to raise your voice volume considerably. The music is a shock every time it comes on because of how quiet you are.

Those screw pins the best way I have found is put them in so the suspension cycle tightens them instead loosening them. So if it's getting loose 180 it put it in the other side.

I can't throw shade on the castle the fan. The Hoss for us was running about 190-210*F on the motor and with that fan it won't go over 160*f so way better.

Does anyone make a decent steering servo saver linkage kit? Or is there a good way to shim the stock spring to make the saver stiffer?

I got the same kit. Do the new hex bolts snap in like the factor ones. Looks like they just slid into the pin. Is that right?

Also I have green RPM arms on the rear and heavy duty Traxxas arms on the front, I had no issues installing them huh , mine have been in awhile maybe that helped the fit?

About how long did this project take you for the upgrade part not the clean and electronic Inspection

For me it took a long time but trying to film etc. I would say the upgrade kit would take 1.5 hours if you take your time .

What color springs did you use ? I’m about to get gtr and not sure what color spring stiffness to go with

I’m assuming this is too late, but I think the black-rated springs are the closest to the stock ones if this helps
