Hey I was wondering, there were a lot of complaints about the original one being way too difficult to press down on. Apparently that's why drum beats were very difficult to do accurately. Is that one of the improvements they made on the studio edition?

As far as I understand, this is the same hardware. The software/plugin bundle is the new thing.
It's okay for finger drumming, not as good as a launchpad but decent. It is a little hard to press down on and that does kill a take every now and again but you do get used to it.

Gabe - thank you so much for this video! Would appreciate your perspective on this - I am trying to compose using Ableton and Roli on an HP spectre, but as you hinted at in this video, there is so much crackling and popping as soon as I add any complex midi bits that I have to immediately freeze and flatten - is there any way around this?
