Considered that he uses "Germany" in reference to the time before the empire, I would disagree that Amo was the first African in Germany. There are references to black people in the german speaking area from before. And is he even aware of the reason why all black colleges actually exist or something like post traumatic slave syndrome?

I am first generation immigrant and I treat my adopted fatherland - Germany - as my home, I pay taxes, learn the language and don't expect people to give me things on a silver platter. It's hard because of the language and some cultural differences but year after year it gets better. I still hear people who spend more time here and even are born here who belittle this country at every turn and then they wonder why their lives are miserable.

If white people have had enough being around blacks and left for the moon, the blacks would soon follow with videos: "Racism on the moon," heheheheh

Whites should not go to the moon. its not theirs. Now you see clearly what the problem is. Stay in your own land.

We are both are the same just have different skin pigments and nationalities, look at the Jews, 6 million where slaughtered in Germany due to the natzis racist scheme and they did the same to blacks and disabled people. Therefore racism will be much bigger in Germany than in the UK for example.

I agree with Brecksau that once you settle with Germany and Contribute to its Welfare, then you are a Bonafide German Citizen without any other restrictions at all.

Only thing I want to comment regarding this clip: I find it funny that this guy is talking about African diaspora as if all the people's of Africa belong to one nation, one country, one culture... What a fool.

Wow, lot of hostility here. I was going to say something along the lines of "racism is overrated" but given the comments I see, I guess I would be wrong...

It is true that there still is racism everywhere in Germany. This racism must be fought everywhere in Germany. But it is also very true that the amount of racism and the way racism is shown is very different in East Germany. Racist attitudes and brutal physical racist attacks are much, much more frequent in East Germany than in West Germany. Very many East Germans are fanatical racists and antidemocrats although there are very few black people as well as muslims in East Germany - compared to West Germany. The communist dictatorship lasted for forty years in East Germany but it ended 32 years ago! Still many East Germans don't accept a liberal and open democratic society. The AfD, a right wing party with racist attitudes, is very, very much against immigration from Africa and the Middle East. Three times as many people in East Germany vote AfD than in West Germany. In East Germany 25 - 28% of East Germans voted AfD in every East German federal state during the last years until now!!!!!!! In West Germany it is "only" 5 - 9%. 5 - 9% are still 5 - 9% too much but this means a huge difference! West Germans are much more accustomed to black pepple living with them than East Germans. Most West Germans are much more open minded than most East Germans.

Yes, I am a mixed race AMerican whohas ben living in the East, near Leipzig since 2006. I work and have German friends and speak Germanfluently...That said the looks I get on the street used to be just curiosity, but since Angela Merkel let in so many refugees...THese "looks" have become moreunpleasant....I know all the shop keeper in my neighborhood and they all smile and are nice to me...BUt I watch the very same shop keper totally change when any unknown person with brown skin or an acent comes into the store. The parents of my German boyfriend like and accept me...BUt forget that I am in the room when they start airing out their frustrations with the "kanaken" ! That is a derogatory old fashioned term for black or africans. THey don't consider me one so they forget to watch their language...Same with collegues at work. It is not pleasant for me but I can only imagine how it is for a dark skinned person born in Germany!
