it's weird honestly, sam and nick are a strange dyad--nick is well traveled, has a family, has done a tone of psychedelics and stuff, knows how to build a house, and loves antiques. and I feel like off the cuff in a social situation he is funnier than sam. but I think sam is the better artist and I think nick knows this and respects him for it. sam has a certain artistic spark that draws people to him whereas nick is more of a 'regular guy'. but at the same time sam's life and actions seem more 'regular'.
