Why are we excited about losing low level jobs? Just another sector of the economy that's relatively easy to get into that will be gone. And you'll have to work harder and harder to get a decent job as a result. The only benefit I see is fewer jobs for immigrants
That's something the people who get excited about this tech don't understand, they seem to be under the assumption that now people in the low level jobs will be freed to "just go get" better jobs when they all get replaced
Agreed with most, but to be fair, GTA drivers are good because they are all controlled by the same engine that also controls the position of everything else, as in the driver has the exact location and motion data in 3D space. Cars just use visual cues with 2D cameras. Also, even though art AI is just iteration upon iteration, it has the visual data of everything online, and could theoretically be asked to make art that does no exist. which in a way is iteration but the inverse, which in a way is art at it's core.
It's hilarious how they broke down that Nio robot car promo in that it doesn't hit pedestrians by means of assumptive math... like what if it gets the math wrong lol

the reason why its galaxies apart is cause its not even a primitive version of the same thing. its a entirely different processes. neural nets is just predicting the output based on the input. if you don't have an input and output to train against, its not going to come up with an output out of thin air. its also why you need such large data sets. is because the ai is just basically a look up table for things its seen before and outputs its seen before. whatever gives the most similar values also outputs similar values. and you risk AI accidentally correlating things which don't correlate. i.e AI thinks stop signs are just hexagons with white and red. then it sees a sign that say do not enter or some obscure sign that kind of looks like a stop sign. (90% chance it looks like all other stop signs.) so it just thinks everything is good, stop and continue. but honestly this is something humans do too. but at least you don't have to train them 10 million times per instance of random occurrence to get a proper output.

No he has a point, an autonomous car is easy to make and doesn't need AI, what's not easy is to have an autonomous car on the same road with other human drivers. These companies are trying to compensate for that with AI but it will never work because you need human level AI, either that or you get rid of all the humans on the road so you can have an 100% controlled environment.
@@systemx6603 He doesn't have a point, let's just take one aspect of self driving cars: the sensors. In a real world scenario , the car has imperfect information from its sensors and has to rationally deduce what the best aciton is. In a video game like GTA, the programmer has full access to the entire game state at all time, there is no ambiguity at all and programming a car to drive in gta is ridiculously easier than making a real self driving car...
@@zenchess You're just saying the same thing I am saying, autonomous driving would be easy and not even need any complicated AI if the roads only had other autonomous cars and no pedestrians. The moment you introduce humans you need human level AI to account for the behavior of humans, something none of these scam companies have a hope of achieving any time soon or ever.
@@systemx6603 No, I'm not saying what you are saying. Autonomous driving (in the real world) is NOT easy, at all. I mentioned that the sensor data the car has in both scenarios is completely different - in one case the game developer is in full control of the environment, in the real world you have insufficient data. Let's also mention that in GTA to steer a car is ridiculously easy, you can point the car in any direction with a line of code, in the real world you have to control real tires on a real world and it is far more difficult.
