In this amazing study the researchers provide the evidence that mitochondrial membrane permeability plays an important role in cell senescence and death. We will use these concepts for the next series about Taurine. Let's review at a high level the study about mitochondria and aging.

You want cells to renew. The key to youth is the reduction of inflamation. To achieve this, you need to avoid activities that cause inflamation. Turmeric is a great spice to add to your daily diet (Organic) to maintain a constant low inflammatory state. Needs to be taken with black pepper to improve bio availability.

Senesent describes the cell reproduction limit, which is thought to be 50 x in a lifetime. At the end of the cell life, it no longer reproduces and stays with you in a constantly degrading state. If so, the key to longevity is to maintain your cells. Mitochondria can be increased through autophage and resistance training. The trick is to minimise introduced toxins and to provide the cell with the nutrients it requires. If this is true, then the introduction of mRNA will affect longevity. A test that its manufacturers have not performed. If all this is correct, then mRNA WILL excasserbate pre condition and aging. If we can establish this as fact, it could be the reason for excess deaths.

I love the way you present information! It's mastery in pedagogy. But, saying that, I don't understand some things:
    1. General concept that (apoptotic) stress concerns a cell, than the cell produces proteins, that in effect causes mitochondria to become permeable and release their mtDNA seems to me vague. The opposite might be true. It's that mitochondria are under stress and they initiate the whole process.
    2. It seems not to be enough to make outer membrane of mitochondria permeable, because mtDNA are behind second - inner membrane. But these BAX proteins "make holes" only in outer membrane.
    3. The mechanism of apoptosis and senesense seem to be the same, than preventing that mechanism from action will prevent pathway leading to apoptosis, which can have a serious negative effects.
    4. If mtDNA is released to cytosol of the cell it means that inner membrane of mitochondrium is damaged or destroyed and that mitochondrium do not produce energy from obvious reason. Such mitochondrium probably will die. So again, the apoptotic stress seems to be result of mitochondria damage not the other way around.
I'm not a professional, just ordinary man, looking at the youTube video, so I can be wrong :) I will watch more of your valuable lessons

There is relevance to cancer therapy here. Surgery and radiation therapy have taken the approach of cutting and burning out the cancer, only in many cases to have it return or metastasize. The very process of doing so damages surrounding tissue, which may go into senescience and secrete growth factors to compensate for the cell injury and death. It is better to pinpoint and target the cancer as closely as possible to avoid damaging surrounding tissue as much as possible, as well as rescueing non-cancerous cells.

My question is what determines the number of mitochondria that become permeable in a cell, ie a large majority or just a few? Is it the quality and/or the quantity of stressful items that attack the cell? So if the cell is under a small amount of stress then the cell becomes senescent whereas if the cell is under a large amount of stress then the cell becomes apoptotic. Senescent cells would be like a pile of garbage that starts stinking and making the environment around the cell inhospitable. Whereas the apoptotic cells disassemble and the pieces get cleared away.

Data shows that Americans eat less animal foods today than in the past. The average American gets 70% of their diet from plant foods. And most of those plant foods (carbs, seed oils, etc) are highly damaging. But what we know is back when Americans ate more animal foods they were healthier.
