Thank you so much for this detailed explanation, I’ll surely adopt this.
But I didn’t notice in the document any space for doing the job assuming you’ve got one, so I’ll assume you’ll replace the 9am-12noon and 1pm to 4pm for that.
Now my concern is how will achieve the similar result when you’re on job or you’re on a contact already and you want a better job or a better pay, like applying for jobs, keeps abreast with the technology and still doing your current job
Apologies for not replying sooner - It’s up to you to modify to suit, so we all have 24 hrs in 1 day - some of us need minimum 7 hrs sleep giving us 17hrs remaining. In our 9-5 job we have 9 hrs remaining - it’s up to us on what we do with those 9hrs remaining Monday to Friday. Study, apply for jobs, read necessary blogs or even finish the allocated work for the week allowing us to study and apply for jobs for the remaining last two days of the week.
If you don’t work weekends, amazing we have 17hrs to fit in plenty of time for study, apply for jobs etc. Some of us have a family and other commitments but I am sure you can find additional 2 hrs in everyday life to achieve what you want.
I have 5 kids, a wife who is ill and can still make the time to study, apply for jobs and make youtube videos.
So my day can look like
5am - 6am Get up, prep breakfast for everyone, dress for gym
6am - 7am gym
7 - 9am get kids up and take to school
9am - 12pm Work but I will focus on achieving getting x done on y time (no procrastination or idle chat with colleagues)
12pm to 12:30pm lunch break
12:30pm to 1pm Watch that youtube video on xyz, read a blog that you wanted to catchup on or send whatsapp messages to the people you wanted to connect with
1pm - 5pm Work - focusses on task assignments, complete everything by today and prep for tomorrow and contact those persons needed for permissions or details required for explanation (Sometimes you don’t even use up all 4 hrs therefore what ever is remaining use it to catchup on technical work, research etc)
5pm - 7pm help with kids, get ready for bed
7pm - 8:30 pm Help wife, catchup on the day and help where needed.
9pm - 10pm study\apply for jobs.
What I have learnt is , you need to document your time on what might distract you, how many times do you pickup your phone for Instagram , send unnecessary messages, watch idle youtube, etc….App on your phone helps documents this…Learn where your time is going and you will see that you can fit in what ever you want to achieve.
Weekend schedule.
Saturday & Sundays
7am - 2pm spend with family and do activities outside the house on good days, on bad days do indoor activities and watch a family movie.
2pm - 7pm do all necessary housework, later part of day help get kids ready for bed.
7pm - 10pm Study
Not all days are the same and be flexible when something messes up the flow because it will happen. But it is entirely up to you on how you cut your cake to serve the slices !
