- Join us for a visit to Worlds Of Fun located in Missouri, the 12th park of our 2023 USA Theme Park Road Trip! In this vlog we experience many of the major rides at the park, including Mamba, Prowler and much more. We also ride some of the water attractions, along with taking a closer look at Zambezi Zinger, the new roller coaster for 2023. Unfortunately operations were very poor during our visit, however we tried to make the most of it as you'll see in this vlog!

So great to see the official park footage for the coasters. As much fun as it would be to hear your realtime commentary and occasional "Blimey!" it's still great to get a clear view of what the rides themselves are like.

0:54 OMG!! The music that plays at the entrance is an orchestral version of the theme song of a Belgian kids show called "Kabouter Plop". And that is owned by Studio 100, which also owns the Plopsa Group with parks like Plopsaland de Panne and Holiday Park. They exactly play these songs also in those parks. So weird to hear that music in a random American park lol.

Currently posting my vlog from my visit yesterday!! I really enjoyed Zambezi Zinger, and was really impressed at how smooth the transitions from the wood track to titan track was as well as the strong laterals in the back row.
It's pretty frustrating, my home park has never looked better, but all anyone can talk about is the operations/staffing shortages. And for good reason, you guys were pretty polite about it. We all just want to see the park succeed and get more consistent investments, but these issues are starting to feel like it's going to hold us back a bit. Worth noting though, some of the staff really do care, and have been super helpful this season. I've been about 6 times this year.
Let’s hope they can improve soon!

This vlog made me laugh so much honestly the best part of my day is watching these videos also omg the ride operator that was meowing on the Prowler that was so funny 😂

I was with a group doing ERT on Prowler and we rode it like 10 times in an hour. She meowed on every dispatch even tho it was the same group of idiots. We just started meowing back lol

Such a great looking park with what looked like many good rides / attractions. Brilliant theming and landscaping. But much ruined by poor human actions or non actions !!! You've Shawn / Charlotte got the right thinking by having a nice feast out to not let it spoil the day.
The park is beautifully themed and landscaped
Lived in KC in the early 80’s and was able to ride Orient Express, the original Zambezi Zinger and also they year they converted Scream Roller into EXT. 😁

It was such a shame, however Silver Dollar City more than made up for it!
My high school choir goes to this place every other year to perform in the morning and have a bunch of fun at the park in the afternoon hours!
My favorite ride there definitely has to be Detonator!
A few weeks ago we took my niece for her first ever visit to a theme park (LEGOLAND UK). I stumbled across your videos as I’ve never been and found it to be super informative and a little cheesy which kept me laughing, I’m not one for vlogs really. Anyway, whilst there my in-laws mention an Orlando trip, so again I thought I know where I can watch it if they have a playlist.
Of course you do, I’m now currently working through that whilst watching these road trip vlogs. I genuinely have found myself cracking up at various points, your on ride commentary or as we’ve now discovered Charlottes dislike of water rides (saw the Popeye one today 😂)

Its so funny seeing just how much the midcourse on Mamba slowed down the train only 3 years ago. I'm so glad they turned those brakes off because Mamba is absolutely MENTAL now

This year has by far been the best year for the park since getting passes in 2021. When you visit just one day stuff happens. Been at Disney days it seemed like the top stuff wasn’t working. Worlds of Fun has flaws but I’m excited to see its future. They’ve improved a lot. I’ve even seen both sides of Viking Voyager running this year.
Damn, that was harsh regarding Zambezi. Just be upfront with your paying guests! Hate to think they scammed people into upgrading. Refund those people!

That's a no-go really, attractions only starting testing upon park opening would be inappropriate if the park opened at 9AM but 11?

So sad to see you were disappointed with your visit. Worlds of Fun is my homepark and I have to say they have really dropped the ball this season. The operations have been terrible all season. Every single coaster in the park has been down at least once during each of my visits this year. It's a shame because it's a great little park when everything is running smoothly, but unfortunately that just hasn't been the case as of late.
Let’s hope they improve soon!
After revisiting this vlog, that i had been looking forward to since your 2019 visit. Im happy with the upgrades, but i really wish you could've gotten the best of worlds of fun. This park has so much potential and room for expansion, i believe they're one stand out coaster and improved operations from being a destination park. If only we could get the carrowinds treatment.. i feel like this CF/ six flags merger might hamper those dreams. But we shall see. Sorry you guys had a bad time.. it really hurts my heart since im truly your biggest fan, ive watched all your vlogs multiple times.. I hope one day when i make it to Alton towers we can meet up and i can get a photo with you. Cheers bud keep up the great work, you truly are atop the theme park vlogging game.

You’ve been on so many rides Shawn lol your bodies will be getting used to it! After 2 weeks at cedar point - dragster stopped having the same effect that it had on day 1 lol
When I went to cedar point in 2006 with my sisters - we waited for dragster and it closed when we were the next people to get on. We waited an hour, had alot of fun with a group of people learning about each others cultures.
It finally re opened and the crew said we were likely to get a roll back. Anyway - we did! And it was awesome! The roll back was well worth the 1 hour wait lol

Had a very similar experience of poor ops at WOF back in April. Thought maybe it’s just because it was early season but it seems not. It’s a shame because this park has a decent coaster line up and a lot of potential!

You should think about visiting lagoon park sometime it has a lot of unique attractions and a solid coaster lineup.

I find it quite funny that the music they have at the entrance is the music from Plopsaland ! It's not even generic theme park music : the lyrics to this one talk about Plop's
Yaaa glad to see you hammered the park management and operations. It’s my home park and they just do some absolutely baffling things. Landscaping department is great though that’s about it
The theming and landscaping is great however operations need major work!

Just got back from Worlds of Fun. Operations were very poor!
I can confidently say with the US chain parks, especially the smaller ones, your experiences can be night and day depending on the day. I can’t tell from this whether it was staffing or maintenance issues, but that’s a bummer.
On the bright side, Silver Dollar City should more than make up for it, provided none of their major coasters have issues.

We had a good laugh on the water rides!
Looks like their maintenance and theming teams need to show their operations team how to get their act together.
There's a 50th anniversary museum exhibit that you walked past and missed.
It's got artifacts, park concept drawings from the architect, and the previous owner's history of the park, Lots of pieces of history including an Orient Express front car, track pieces and road wheels for all of their defunct coasters. It's in the Tivoli Music Hall across from Viking Voyager and only lasts until Labor Day.
Mentioning this in case anyone else goes to WOF this year, they won't miss it.

The zambezi zinger was my very first coaster i ever road so it has a special place in my heart it bis my favorite coaster too. Thats was back when it was made by Schwarzkopf . That is sad you guys had a horrible experience at worlds of fun . By the way shawn what you said about worlds of fun was funny calling it worlds of no fun. I love guys and have fun and be safe out there.😊

So my daughter and I went to the park yesterday evening (Saturday 6/17/2023). This was supposed to be the official pass holder preview day for the Zinger. We arrived at around 6:15 pm and headed straight for the Zinger. We were told that they were not offering anymore rides and that vouchers were given out earlier with times to ride. This was not part of the deal. It was running one train as well with 5 minute dispatch times. Apparently pass holders were told to arrive at the park at 10:30 am for the season pass opening and were then told the ride was delayed until the afternoon!!! Management at the park is horrible.

This is my home park. It's got a lot of charm but up until recently was really neglected. Im glad to see fresh paint on everything but staffing has been an issue for the past few years at this park
This is my home cedar fair park and the ops this year have been notably bad compared to the past. Not sure what it is. I figured they would improve as summer kicked in to gear but they havnt at all. I've seen some of the slowest ops on spinning dragons and the water rides for sure. It's frustrating for sure.

Good to hear your honest experience, some great stuff but operations not great and you don't mince your words, I think the manager just maybe needed to be a little more careful, hopefully when they sort the issues they might tempt you back, looking forward to the next vids, working my way through!

Worlds Of No Fun ! What a shambles from start to finish !!!!!
Omg this park uses music from plopsaland 😁 at the entrance you hear het plop lied in plopsa classic version and at the map you hear the classic plopsa version from the Piet Piraat song
Hmmm. I hear studio 100 licensed music of the Plopsaland parks at 40.40 Number calls spring. To bad you could not ride the new ride.
I really think you should have stopped at Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minnesota along with Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America you could have done both parks in one day. Valleyfair is a smaller Cedar Fair park with 8 roller coasters and Renegade GCI wooden coaster, Wild Thing similar to Mamba and Steel Force and Steel Venom. It's not that far from Wisconsin Dells 3 hours and close to Lost Island and Adventureland about 3 hours.
