Is this the most iconic Jaguar? What about most iconic British sportscar?

I can't believe you masked and painted that chrome at that scale, you're a madman. Awesome job as usual, thanks for sharing your hard work.

Such a great looking car and that is a really neat little kit! Very cool build.

Really impressive what you could do with such a small scale. Congrats! Also seeing the tiny car next to the real one is a really nice ending of the video!

Thanks, Raul. It's a cool scale to work with I find

Fantastic build! Seems like a great kit for the scale and price point. Other 1/43 kits are often 2x or more expensive than the airfix one. Definitely on the pickup list.

Yeah, and I managed to get this discounted as well. Nice little kit

I cannot begin to imagine working on this scale... you are a madman! How tiny it looked on that tamiya stand

Haha - I love this scale. This is the 5th 1/43 car I've made this year. Very kind on the display cabinet.

Great build I have this kit waiting in the stash. I like the 1/43 car kits Airfix make even though it is not my favorite scale.

Thanks very much. I'm enjoying this scale more and already planning my next one.

That’s a great little build, you did a really nice job on that with the conversion, although the wipers are the wrong way, only joking :) model on

Haha I wondered who would notice that! They were moulded into the windscreen so nothing I could do unless I removed them. Thanks!

Very nice build!! One minor thought...judging by the appearance of the bumpers I’m guessing you used the Molotow chrome pens. For a much more authentic chrome finish I’d suggest getting a Molotow refill and airbrushing the chrome (no need for black first btw...2 light wet coats will do fine, no thinning). Also be aware (you undoubtedly are) that the Molotow (and the other oil-based pens such as you used on the inside strips in the boot) only have a shelf life of about a year. After that they go light grey and eventually a charcoal grey. I’m speaking of the wet material in the refill or pen, not the cured paint on your model.

Thanks for the tip, and yes, it didn't quite give the finish I was going for. The pen is a little old so it is probably due replacing. Cheers.

Another fine build! It's so tiny, I don't think my eyesight can handle building on this scale, but it's nice nonetheless

Haha I was bought a magnifying lamp earlier this year. Many thanks!

Very nice. How many coats of red was applied? I’m planning on getting those cordless airbrushes soon.

I think it was 3. Starting light and getting heavier.

In your opinion what's the best paint for brush painting?

    • @BOABModels
      @BOABModels  ปีที่แล้ว +1

I like using Revell aqua but I've also had really good experiences with Vallejo model color.

Yes, I think revell aqua is good. You just need to thin it a little bit with water.
